Hi Fran and your thumbs down proves my point, your counterfeit gospel is without Joy and without assurance, leaving you in doubt with a "merit based salvation", that cannot save a human soul, for the rest of your natural life.

I call your fake gospel the "Not Good News" fake gospel.

"Salvation by grace through faith and that not of yourself lest anyone shall boast, it is a "gift of God" full of,
"The Joy of the Holy Spirit", and "Assurance of Salvation."

Read the next verse will ya?

Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
We all know the workers for, Cainologists and salvation losers like to pitch context out the window like trash on Interstate 666 through Death Valley...............even though the bible speaks of salvation as an immediate possession and in all three tenses and with a present continuing result from a past completed action.....but hey........it makes for a good argument....

He who endures to the end,

Context, the end of tribulation, he who survives until christs return.

You just condemned everyone who ever did, b cause they did not endure until christ returned
Gonna be some very surprised people schooled in context on the day they face the Lord........a bad day a coming for the "plenteous in number" that believe their works have anything to do with salvation.....!!

God certainly works in man. However, God will never force His will on anyone. Man has free will so he can chose to be obedient or not when God attempts to lead him in the right direction.

That does not say we work FOR salvation, nor does it say we WORK to keep salvation..........geesh...............!!

This type of mentality is exactly why the number will be plenteous that come before the Lord expecting to enter based upon the good works they have done in his name........
This has nothing to do with works. Obedience to what is commanded is the key.

It's also all too true..

Common sense should tell a person that once their name is in the book of Life, it CANNOT be blotted out. Otherwise God would be a liar. And we all know God doesn't make mistakes..
I hear ya.........people peddle a weak, inept, lying god that does not keep his promises, has no power and just yanks salvation like a sucker from a kid playing in the dirt.......they have NO understanding of the words irrevocable, incorruptible, eternal, everlasting, uttermost, kept, sealed, saved, justified, and all of the other verbiage that applies........

Obedience is not what saves us. Obedience does not garner us salvation, nor keep it or maintain it.

Faith and belief in Jesus is what saves us.

Do you obey 24/7/365.....NO you don't........and salvation is based upon faith, is eternally given and cannot be lost.....Sanctification is an ongoing process, subject to successes and failures and the ONLY man to be 100% obedient was Christ and is exactly why his righteousness is applied by FAITH......

The mentality put forth in the above post by WANS is exactly why many will be in hell after expecting to enter based upon the good works they have done in the name of Jesus....I stand amazed at how many reject context and just whip a working for salvation out of thin air and then peddle it as truth like a street organ player in Bombay.....!!!!
What does "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" mean in Philippians 2:12 if not what it says?

What does "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" mean in Philippians 2:12 if not what it says?
It means to fit it out......just like a Roman soldier would armor up, lace up his boot, strap on a shield and pick up his sword.........it is not saying to work for it or work to keep it.....we are to go on to MATURITY, GROW UP, become spiritually mature and be transformed by the renewing of the mind.....and that is what he is talking about.....

Since you are saved, now work it out, exercise it, grow, mature, become spiritually fitted out to be used of God!
