This is for a real Christian that fights against porn addiction, and/or who has and won.

Even thou some Christians will be disrespectful and get on here and tell me how porn is ok, not sin... you can do a you like, but you are worthless Christians (in my opinion) any way just to let you know.... and what you have to say will be worthless.....

My son is fighting porn addiction. He gives me all electronics at night so he can not get on line. His tablet, smart tv remote and phone. But the memories, the imagines… he keeps getting plagued with in his head. I pray over him and I hear him at night begging G-d to deliver him.

What did you do to be free of porn.... and the memories of it playing in your head?

Please help me help my son.... there has to be some Christians free from this sin!?!

Wow. That's real Christ-like to call fellow Christians "worthless". I guarantee God disagrees with you. And if you think anything we say here will be worthless, then why are you even asking us for help??

Get him into counseling. How old is he? Taking away his electronics won't take away his addiction, only GOD can do that.. Good luck to both of you. :)

There are plenty of Christians free from this sin. But you are right that this is literally a plague today, its because it is so EASILY ACCESSIBLE, compared to when I was growing up for example.

I can give a few tips:

- GET BUSY, my dad who has been through hell, is now saved, said that the devil ALWAYS finds something to do for idle hands!
- Do hard physical labor, if there is nothing physical work to do, lift heavy weights or something, this guarantees you are TIRED when you go to bed.
- Dont believe the "nobodys perfect" nonsense excuse thats spread in the churches today. Secular people quit all kinds of addictions all the time, heck, buddhist monks live EXTREMELY strict lives and got no type of relationship with Christ! So it is DOABLE. If secular people can do it, WHAT is our excuse?
- Think about the POSITIVE outcome. Closer walk with God, cleaner mind, less anxiety, great testimony, better CONFIDENCE in the Lord and in soul-winning, etc.
- Realize that: "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." <- There is always a way of escape, so you can bear the temptation. God has already provided it.
- ONE VERY IMPORTANT THING I WILL WRITE IT IN BOLD: DONT GIVE UP! A righteous man falls down but GETS UP!

^These work for the PRACTICAL application. But what you mentioned about having THOUGHTS etc. that I literally have no practical advice for, OTHER THAN: pray, try to keep thinking on "THINGS ABOVE" and everything thats holy, spiritual, etc. as the Scriptures instruct.
I've found its ALOT easier to get rid of the practical problems, than the thoughts. Its kind of like the pharisees: Easy to clean the outside, hard to clean the inside. (only God can do that)

I would be happy to hear someone's testimony here who has gotten their thought-life fixed. I can admit that I still havent gotten mine right. I come from the mean-streets and there is still that SELF there, raising its ugly head. Its hard to keep it in check, for me its alot harder to avoid REAL LIFE things. I am very weak for women, they are just so nice, but I have implemented a strategy: isntead of trying to resist temptation, I prefer to FLEE FROM IT all together, which I believe is a lot better idea. I know myself too well, and know that if im in a room 1on1 with a beautiful woman and she blinks her eyes at me twice, its GAME OVER for me. Therefore I AVOID those situations.

There's only one Power greater than our sin...and it is not within us...

Hebrews 4:15-16 NKJV
[15] For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Amen As James said, if we break one, we are guilty of all.

Just got to love when people want to focus on certain sins, When in reality, Every time they sin they are just as guilty as the people they are judging.

Is you son a believer?

Talk to someone who has been saved out of the porn industry, former pimps and prostitutes.

There is a doco called Nefarious, which talks about the sex industry and how it enslaves young girls and they have no choice. It is a christian film.

Bind any profane, unclean spirits and loose the holy spirit to your son. Ask your son to be clothed in Christ and also pray for the enemy, ie. those caught up in porn, the women in bondage to also be saved.

Does your son have any sisters. I would be praying for your daughters. If any of my brothers were addicted to porn I would be wary of sleeping in the same house with them.

I had a workmate who seemed like he was addicted to porn. I had to pray binding and loosing prayers over him so that it didnt affect my work cos I had to share a ute with him. It didnt come to the point where I could have reported his behaviour but I could have and he might have lost his job. So this is serious. No woman wants to be around someone whos always undressing every female with his eyes.

Yes there is victory over sinful thoughts - it involves asking God for a pure heart. Thoughts come from the heart, and it must be pure but it is not unless God sanctifies it entirely, in an instant.

When we have the pure heart, thoughrs become captive to Christ.

This teaching has been lost to the church since the holiness movement faded away but the writings are available.

No l am not walking in this but have done in the past and can testify the absence of sinful thoughts.

I doubt that the images etc will ever be out of his memory.

The only thing to do is re-arrange the thinking .....pray to clear the mind, then start a project, whatever will distract from the abuse of the mind. And stay away from things and places that bring those occasions to fail.

Actions start with our brain, we think and then we act.

Old saying: You can't stop a bird from landing on your head, but you can keep it from building a nest.

With all due respect Grace and Truth, secular sayings should not guide or console us.
