Here are a couple of mugs me and my aunt got.
Mine is the “what now eek” mug. My aunt’s is the sleepy
happy mug!

I got two Wal-Mart gift cards, which I put to good use at the after-Christmas sale. Bought four boxes of Fererro assorted chocolates.

I got a little flying gizmo that you control by waving your hand around it. I gave it to my aunt because she would like it, and she has already had more fun with it than I would ever have.

I also got very dark chocolate bars from multiple people. I think my friends and family have me pegged as for what to get me for Christmas. :D

Scratch that... I only bought three boxes of chocolates. I WISH I had bought the fourth one. These things are GOOD!

But then they just dissolve too easily!

Oh I know that. But it's still a temptation.

Nope, can't do it. I gotta be good.

For Christmas I got the same thing I always get - the one thing I want most for Christmas - the whole family hanging out at Grandma's house for hours on Christmas Eve, sitting around, eating, chatting... then doing the same thing for hours on Christmas Day.

I love our family dinners. And family breakfasts. And the holidays is loaded with excuses for us to have them.

I miss those in my family. Since my dad passed we just kinda of stopped. Maybe next year we'll attempt it with everybody (friends and family).

I've been thinking about all the "stuff" I get for Christmas that I can't really use. Somebody needs to make a Christmas gift drop-off point where people can anonymously chunk all the stuff they got that they didn't want. Then all that stuff could be shipped out to Goodwill or local thrift stores that help people.

We have a chain of thrift stores called Jesus Cares. They use proceeds to help people in need. The only thing missing is the anonymous part. I need some way to get this stuff to that store without anybody seeing me. I mean you don't want people to SEE you getting rid of the gifts they got you...
