Well yeah reason will only get you so far and whether the account of genesis was literal or metaphorical will probably always be debated. What isn't debatable is what Christ did on the cross that's what really mattersMmm, yeah. He seems more uncertain than anything else. He believes in Jesus, but isn't sure about the account of Genesis and some of the doctrines regarding salvation. Also, he can't understand that there is no conflict between faith and reason...Just need to figure out how to go about things I guess. We are still friends.
mmm yeah. We make so many assumptions today that it is literally impossible to do anything completely apart from assumptions. Oh well.
