That is what you and the Pope preaches, but the Christ of the Bible said differently.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

You have your religion, and Jesus has His Gospel. I'm sticking with the Christ.

So is the word the Greek used to communicate how Faith is applied , ( pisteuo ) defined as" a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender , " a deed / or work of the law ?

Faith is a spiritual GIFT irrevocably given by and through Christ. It has been initiated by HIM, it is HIS WORK in us and HE finishes this work in ALL that HE begins it in...it is the evidence of things NOT SEEN. IT cannot be gained, given, obtained etc. by ANY WORK of man, including any supposed LAW keeping/Obedience based religious system..............

If pisteuo defined in the Greek dictionary as " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender, " is " gift from God " , how does that work ? God personally surrenders our life to Himself for us ? Remember , Pisteuo is repeated 248 times in the NT .

That's odd I sure thought when they said "don't commit adultery" etc that was really telling us what not to do and also what to do Such a twisting and turning to find a way not to obey God LOL!

IF........take it up with God.....Faith is a GIFT.....and the fact that you seem to doubt this speaks volumes....

For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

I'm gonna take the liberty to jump in on this post. What's the difference in "surrender" and accept. One cannot accept that free gift of salvation unless they believe and accept. A deed and or work does not provide salvation.

DC Hollering doesn't make it any better, still no proof just noise!

If you are born again you are spirit and I don't think you are, This is not hard to understand the same word is translated both ways the translators chose which way to use it and sometimes they got it wrong, not only here but also in other places. We are not born of the Spirit at this time, we are flesh and blood and I just bet you are too! Do you have a Strong's , if so look it up, study show yourself approved to God!

If not take your spirit body and fly over here and show me , then I will believe it but not if you are still flesh!

Exactly...........works do not, have not and will not ever produce faith........faith is a spiritual gift "1st Corinthians 13" and it is given in measure to every man except JESUS who was given faith without measure.......the faith which has been given unto us can be increased, grown and matured by study and the transformational process as described in Romans 12.....at thee end of the day.....any work, all works, any fruit, all fruit is the result of faith and fro CHRIST working through us as a LIVING sacrifice....exactly why they will never save and or why Christ gets all the glory.

This is not AOL and I was not hollering....big letters so you can see your error.....2nd Timothy 2:15 has no bearing on being born spiritually from above by faith and seed that is incorruptible......

BORN AGAIN FROM ABOVE BY INCORRUPTIBLE SEED...........

THAT which is BORN of SPIRIT is SPIRIT........

What are you talking abt? II Tim has to do with sin being the transgression of the Law, it defines sin! BTW I have not seen a visitation from a born again spirit body yet!

Hi Suzy , let me put me two cents in about what your standing on .

First , no doubt your being drawn and called to Christ by the Father . But we aren't called to fulfill God's law . You can certainly try , that is your right . But if you break one of God commands or laws for just one millisecond , from birth to death , even in your thoughts , your guilty of breaking all of them .

This is where true NT Faith and faithing come in, Pistis and pisteuo in the Greek .when we answer the call of the Father by Faith applied ( personally surrendering our lives to Him and living a life inspired by such surrender ) if this first act of faithing or pisteuo is seen as genuine by Christ , he then will move us into the testing ground , or what the word calls the parable of the sower . Only one of the four surrendered lives will keep moving forward , to be accepted and sealed with His Spirit .

Then ! We Will start to see His nature flow through us as we are continually increasing our faith and faithing as He is perfecting us by His Spirit , His presence , His mind , and His regeneration . If we see a reflection of obedience , fruits of the Spirit , or validation of what He has done with others who went before us , happening in us , that is Him doing it , not us .

The only thing we can continue to fulfill is faithing or pisteuo . To offer God continually an increased surrendered life . Everything else comes from Him accepting , testing , sealing , and regenerating , the surrendered life . Without that continually surrendered life , God can't do anything .

I hope this creates some questions , please ask them .

A. 2nd Timothy 2:15 has nothing to do with sin being a transgression of the law........
B. The latter statement was a bit ridiculous...the Spirit is BORN again RIGHT now and bound in this BODY of sin......waiting to be given a Celestial Heavenly body at the resurrection/change which takes place at the Parousia of Christ.
