Not watching any of that:sick:.... I thought the slogan was supposed to be pork the other white meat...lol

Seriously though if pork is really that bad then why didn't everyone else in the world just die off except for the Jews...

There is no doubt in my mind that Peter's vision "kill eat" was aimed at both food and Gentiles who were both considered unclean

Therefore don't eat Gentiles.

Any tasty Jews for roasting?

Okay, for you I will get back on. I have asked myself and the Lord why He established the dietary laws in the first place. His reply was "Why did I?" I was studying while in the bunk of my 18-wheeler on overnight layovers. He always got me digging further into the word.

About the dietary laws: I finally concluded they would not be there if they weren't for our own good. God would talk just enough to me to steer me where He wanted me. I eventually ended up in a mission in Oakland, California doing drug rehab during the crack epidemic from 1985-1992. The mission was non-denominational in its makeup. I ended up running the rehab homes for them.

I have believed the same for 35 years, and I don't judge others by my faith. The thing about religion: If anyone is doing things differently, they are implying others are wrong by inference. It is the nature of the beast.
Now see? Sharing that wisdom is why God, not me, inspired you to return to this thread. :) Blessings.

pork parasite coke hoax. There are a lot of resources that demonstrate that video isn't depicting truth. Those four keywords in any search engine should lead those interested to find a number of links, some with video's, to show proof.

The other part of the video, where it appears a human intestine is being surgically cut and long worms are being removed, is actually a procedure performed due to a worm bolus.
Do not think that if you've ever enjoyed an Italian sub, full of different pork cuts, that your large intestine would look like the one in the video.

Actually the only thing to worry about with pork is a roundworm that burrows into one's muscles and can remain there indefinitely. Here is a Wikipedia article: Trichinosis
We don't know any long term problems, but God might.

Contaminated meat. Contaminated meat when digested in a human stomach contaminates the body.
Pigs do not have sweat glands, or pores. The toxins that build in their bodies do not get processed out by that means. Which is to say whatever a pig eats, and pigs will eat people remember, devouring everything but the hair and teeth, regardless of if it is garbage of corn, the toxins that result after digestion remain in the animal.
Remember that old saying? You are what you eat.

That's why.
Actually, it is true that pigs do not sweat. However, according to scientists, pigs get rid of toxins from their bodies the same way humans do... through the liver and kidneys. Raised outside, in a natural environment, pigs will not "wallow" in their own feces and urine. They are actually pretty fastidiously clean animals.

There is a slight chance of getting trichinosis from eating raw or undercooked pork, but there is the chance of getting salmonella or e coli from undercooked eggs, chicken, beef, etc...

Studies have shown that pigs raised outside, naturally, without hormones, etc, actually produce very healthful meat and fat.

I really never knew that there were Christians that believed you couldn't eat pork and had to follow the dietary laws of the Old testament or you were sinning. If that is the case, then should a woman not be permitted to go to church during her monthly, and is every thing that she touches unclean during that time? What about a man if he hands her some Tylenol or something and accidentally touches her hand, is he unclean for 7 days and not even allowed to attend church...or what?

I don't really know much about the laws of the OT, but I can't understand how you could choose some to follow and not the others? I mean to me it sounds like if you are going to follow one, then you would have to follow them all...with exception to animal sacrifice, anyhow.
Just because a man doesn't understand some of the Word's of the Christ, doesn't make them Void. Shall I destroy the Word of God because I don't understand some of it? What about the parts we do understand?

As a child we are not given Algebra until we understand the basics. A child doesn't come out of the womb running the 100 yard dash.

Jesus didn't start His ministry until He was 30.

If we don't believe the Word's we can understand, why should He give us understand of the rest?

Is there any Biblical evidence at all that the Word of God, which created "ALL THINGS", considered swine clean?

Why would I want to follow a lifestyle that Jesus Himself denied?

John 14:
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Jesus said: "Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you."

Shall I disregard the Christ because of this statement? How is this even possible? Cannibalism?

But you have studied and have learned, I hope, that Jesus is not advocating Cannibalism here at all, is He. EVEN THOUGH His Word's are right here for the world to see. A man has to "Study to show oneself approved of God" to understand this and hopefully HE will grant understanding. Sadly, many just believe what this voice says, or what that voice says. Eve did this same thing and it didn't turn out well for her.

Do you "Believe" Him even in this statement? Or can you pick and choose which Word's of His you "believe" and which you reject.

My point is that the SAME Christ, the Same WORD of GOD that said we must eat His Flesh to be saved, also said:

26 Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
27 And whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
28 But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.
29 And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Some things are easy to understand.

Thou shall not kill, Remember the Sabbath, Swine is not food.

Some things are not so easy.

Eat My Flesh, must be willing to hate family, she is unclean and anyone who touches her is unclean.

If we only use part's of the scriptures as a tool to justify the religious traditions of the land and reject the rest, and not to, as we are instructed "To prove what is that perfect will of God", then have we not become just like the Mainstream Preachers of Christ's time?

Matt. 7:
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Lawlessness)

24 Therefore whosoever (Jew or Gentile) heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one (Jew or Gentile) that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

The Word of God's creation of what is food and what is not is one of the easiest instructions to understand that He gave us. Would a Faithful servant reject these Word's just because they didn't understand some of the others?

Why make any exceptions? It is all or nothing.
So then in your religion, if I stop stealing in repentance to God, I must also take a turtle dove to a Levite Priest?

Why couldn't the Israelites eat pork, was it due to how it was raised, worship related, to be different from the surrounding people and religions, or what? Was it strictly for dietary reasons that God said not to eat them (because they are bad for health)?

Is pork today the same as it was then? Or is it healthier now, depending upon feed? Or is it as terrible as some people suggest, saying it is "not fit for consumption"?
The people of the Exodus were of the bronze age. They were mostly the uneducated slave class who ate whatever was presented in front of them. If not told how to prepare foods, there most certainly would have been many who would have consumed under cooked pork.
Trichinosis, would then have resulted.

Deuteronomy 14:8
The pig is also unclean; although it has a divided hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.

You're welcome.

This dude says that but I haven't found any data to say pork kills so many people each yr. I have found excessive meat eating kills 45,000 each yr but all meats combine.

like some Balut anyone?

Cows can be just as disease infected as any other animals, but they are clean... the dude talks about bible unclean but doesn't say how much disease infected the clean ones can be too.

Cow lungs are very weak to disease like bovine respiratory disease - new Merck
My study will include nothing but diseases of animals the bible says unclean, just to prove a point the crazy idea that disease was the reason, pure nonsense.
