Ridiculous...This is why i don't come on here anymore...man you guys peddle misinformation like it's going out of style, then pat yourselves on the back agreeing about it, it's sicking really...But just be thankful when you go before Jesus on Judgement day and He asks how you helped others, you can tell Him you kept out people in search of a better life out of your small stretch of land, I'm sure He'll be proud...and before you go on talking about liberals and all that, stop...no y

Saying we make you sick, and Jesus doesn't like us... errr...

isn't really a logical, fact-based argument.

It's just a person having a fit.

FREE SPEECH & THOUGHT:

I think it's fine to have your own opinions, and to dislike Trump on whatever grounds... that's perfectly fine.

However, the fact that we respect your freedom of speech doesn't mean you can come into a debate forum, where people debate, and just blurt out anything, and then go unchallenged.

FACTS:

1. The current situation with the southern border of the U.S. has absolutely nothing to do with the situation in East Germany during the cold war... they are completely different in virtually every conceivable way.

I thnk I'm making a very kind response considering your emotional smear of the u.s. president was utterly illogical and nonsensical.

2. If you want to talk about communists... then you'll need to talk about Trump's OPPONENTS.
We have an extraordinary number of quite vocal, and proud, communists in the U.S., and those are the people who OPPOSE Trump.

CONCLUSION:

1. If you dislike Trump, fine.
2. If you dislike him for either personal or political reasons, fine.
3. However, if you want to make purely emotional claims in a debate forum... expect to be challenged.

Wuz talking to Grey Eagle (Medicine Man for the Yaqui). He said his Great grandfather said the same thing when those durn Pilgrims got here........

:)
Quite a difference. The Pilgrims didn't arrive expecting the Natives to support them and give them free housing and healthcare.

The fact that the Natives did help on that first "Thanksgiving" was a tribute to their good will. The Pilgrims were working hard to make their own way, and expected help from no Natives.

while I realize your post was somewhat tongue in cheek, there are huge differences.

And, when people say we are a nation of immigrants, that is partially true.... we are a nation of LEGAL immigrants. People came here legally, looking for a better life, and were vetted at Ellis Island, or wherever it was they did that sort of thing. Those invaders heading for our southern border have no intention of seeking asylum legally... they just want to make it across the border and start soaking up the free stuff.

BTW: as someone who is disabled...it's not that easy to get Food Stamps, there are a lot of checks you have to go through first, at least in this state...the other information is also false because of the steps you'd have to go to get benefits: although I'm sure this also won't matter.. "Fake news" they'll cry
I will have no problem with what I have done, and am currently doing to help the poor... in my community.

My question to you is this.... where do we draw the line? Why don't we send jumbo jets to Rwanda, or any of the other oppressed African nations and bring the poor over here by the plane load? Or, have China send a couple million of their poor over here so that we "good Christians" can help them. There is no end to the poor and downtrodden who would love to come to the USA and have a "better life".... just being in the USA is a better life for them, without them lifting a finger to earn anything.

How about you tell us how YOU are helping others? You know, you could voluntarily support a couple of "immigrant" families.. move them in, get them housing and feed them until they can afford to live here with no governmental support.

How about it? Money where your mouth is?

That wall was built to keep people IN... not out. How about we send all 10,000 of these "immigrants" to YOUR country, and YOU can pay to support them. You ok with that?

Uhhh... I don't think the Yaqui ever lived anywhere remotely near Plymouth Massachusetts where the Pilgrims landed. And for that matter, I don't think the Yaqui ever lived anywhere near the entire east coast.

As a clever joke, this all works just fine.
But as a social statement... it's not like the relatives of a Yaqui medicine man actually saw this first hand.
There weren't even in the same general region.

My point is just this:
on these emotionally charged social issues, people just blurt things out, and we just accept them without even thinking. Maybe thinking would be better.

Oct. 31 Activist courts are seizing president’s powers just because he’s Trump
http://thefederalist.com/2018/10/31/activist-courts-seizing-presidents-powers-just-hes-trump/

Imagine if President Trump ordered troops to defend the southern border, but a federal judge
suspended his orders so immigration activists could question his motives. Attorney General
Jeff Sessions’ recent presentation before the Heritage Foundation suggests this scenario is
not far-fetched — he said federal judges are breaking through constitutional guardrails with
increasing frequency to encroach on powers of the executive branch.

What Sessions called “judicial encroachment” goes beyond activist judges applying their bias,
instead of the law, when deciding cases. We are seeing federal judges repeatedly issue nation-
wide injunctions halting government operations that the judges deem politically incorrect.

Sessions noted that, in the first 175 years of our republic, not a single federal judge issued
a national injunction. Since 2017, however, 27 district courts have issued injunctions shutting
down presidential directives. In response to lawsuits from critics of Trump, judges repeatedly
have suspended executive policies enacted under Article II of the Constitution.

Sessions mentioned several examples, including lawsuits LGBT activists have filed to stop
Trump from revising Obama-era policies regarding transgender people in the military.
Gender dysphoria, a psychological condition that involves confusion about one’s sex,
previously disqualified a person from military service.

You need to read up. The wall idea has been around for some time . Here is a cut and paste of some of the history behind the wall .
1929 – After the Great Depression, thousands of Mexicans are unofficially “repatriated” by city, state and federal governments of the U.S. and sent back to Mexico.

1965 – In a major civil rights reform, U.S. President Johnson changes the preference of immigration law from country of origin – therefore European ethnicity – to family ties inside the United States, acknowledging and aiding large numbers of Mexicans with family members who are already residents and acknowledging the close relationship of the two countries.

1969 – President Nixon launches Operation Intercept and mandates surprise individual inspections of any and all border crossings, plane, car, or foot. Thousands of agents are dispatched to the Mexican border, virtually shutting down illegal immigration by car for the first time. Antonio Carillo Flores, the Foreign Affairs secretary of the Mexican government, complains bitterly.

1980′s – A brief lull in enforcement. Pedestrians and cars are stopped intermittently. Worldstir editor smuggles a puppy across the border under a blanket in her car. Millions of Americans head south to vacation at Mexican beaches with only a driver’s licence.

1993 – President Bill Clinton mandates construction on a 13-mile “Border Wall” along a line in the sand between San Diego and Tijuana. It is projected to cost $39 million and reduce border apprehensions from 100,000 per day to 5,000 per day for those 13 miles. Emigrants find other paths.

1994 – The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) passes. Large agricultural areas are devastated by low-cost competition with U.S. industrial agriculture. A new surge of immigration heads northward into the United States, swamping the border patrols.

1996 – President Clinton signs the Illegal Immigration Reform and Responsibility Act, increasing fines for illegal entry and approving funding for more patrols and fence construction. Emigrants shift away from the traditional crossings into privately held land, causing landowners to fence their property
Just a FYI it’s not a Trump thing . Both sides have a part .
During the Clinton administration illegal immigration was seen as a threat to unions due to the large numbers of low paid workers they represented.
Blessings
Bill

I'm not about to boast about myself, nor will I say I'm perfect in anyway shape or form I fall short 100 percent of the time. if it weren't for the Grace of God I'd be doomed. but here is the thing..there is no line, just be a good Christian, don't worry about what you're gonna eat, what you're going to wear and where you're going to live, It's up to God. If someone comes to take your shirt, give them your coat too...be in the world not of the world right? isn't that what our Master says? It truly is gross hearing people who are suppose to be Christians boast about being conquers and claiming to a land they didn't earn. I'm not saying I'm 100 percent right. but I know in my heart Jesus is not happy about this situation and the way we are discussing it. and there are pleanty of verses (Some even super famous) to back that up

I thank God I dont live in the US. My reference to the Wild West was a matter of life style and attitude rather than geographics.
Very few people in the UK own Guns. In general those who do are Farmers who tend to shoot Foxes and Rabbits rather than people. One elderly Farmer did shoot an intruder a few years ago and there was a national uproar when he was arrested. In the US I doubt that it would have made the back page of a local paper. You are correct in saying I don't own a Gun or know how to shoot one. We do have a crime rate here as in most other Countries, but even most of our Police are unarmed. The exception being a national squad that deals with
Dangerous Criminals and Terrorists

I don't live in a Fantasy Land either we have immigrant issues here but building walls and shooting them is not part of Government
policy. instead we are leaving the EU which is a major source of immigration.

The question you ask about me shooting an intruder. The situation would be extremely unlikely to arise here.

The ironic thing with regard to this subject is that most of your population descended from immigrants. The remainder are native Americans whose ancestors escaped being wiped out or Afro Americans whose ancestors had no say in coming there.

I am afraid you were lied to, before the brexit vote. Many numbers "for brexit" people used in campaings were false.

We are in the EU and we have very few immigrants. So, its not "because of the EU", its because you speak English so its much easier for the whole world to immigrate into the UK, Spain, Germany than into for example Latvia, Greece, Finland or Poland. Also, your social benefits are high. And, also, you have a colonial history and already a huge immigrant populations in England, so newcomers can find their community there and live in it.

I am afraid, your immigration problems will not disappear after the brexit... it may slow down a little, yeah, but mainly for the "white immigration", i.e. for people from the EU. Immigration outside the EU will continue (Pakistan, India, Asia, Africa).

But you might change your mind if you did live here. Our society is extremely violent. Guns are a necessity. Our lawmen have never been unarmed. Nor would they last very long if they were.

I am glad you are enjoying your safe place there. I hope for you it continues. But your immigration problem is going to blow up one day with as many muslims as yall have. They have come to take over, not to become Englishmen. Unless you are willing to submit to them, your people will have to eventually fight them. Hopefully there will be enough Englishmen who have guns to resist them.

It will be submit or resist.

Who Really Locks Migrants in Concentration Camps?

Around 500,000 live in unhcr camps across the Middle East and North Africa.
These camps are often merely tents in the desert, yet they are much better than the centers
in Libya. The UN staff ensure they have food and water, but the unhcr can’t keep them safe.

They have to rely on local security forces, which are often corrupt and abusive of their power.
In several camps, police and security officers allow gangs to rape, torture and hold refugees
for ransom—or they themselves perpetrate these evils.

These migrants are subjected to just about every misery imaginable.
And Europe is complicit in all of it.

I disagree to start with immigrants outside the EU are mainly from commonwealth countries. Many have skills required here
in particular for our National health Service. We are aware that after brexit we will still have immigrants but we will have control of who and how many will be allowed to come. At present being in the EU means we have no control over who arrives here or how many there are coming.

Leaving the EU is not just about immigration we want our sovereignty back. The referendum result was a shock to David Cameron
and his cronies who even now are trying to stop us leaving and hang on to their fat pensions and influence in Europe. They thought
it was a rubber stamp excercise and we would all vote to stay.
