You OMITTED a CRITICAL Phrase in the Bottom line, so I cannot agree.

IF WE LOVE HIM WILL trust and obey God as best we can to be with Him for eternity.

John 14:15 (HCSB)
15 If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

The way you phrased it make is PART OF SALVATION, IT IS PART OF LOVE.
VCO,

It's about what the Word of God says for some more than what religious traditions of the land says.

Luke 10:
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Personally I don't believe in a religion which denies the Christ's Word's on how to "LIVE". And as it is written, If I Love God, I will do as He instructs. This means doing some difficult things like "fighting the Powers of the air". It also means doing the simple things like keeping His Sabbath Holy.

You keep preaching that none of these things are Salvational issues as though you can reject His Word and still get to heaven. But we could write pages of Word's from Almighty God who clearly teaches this is not the case.

So we can have the argument about "when" the above happens, either "for Salvation" or because of "Salvation". Either way, "walking" in the "good works" God before ordained that we should walk in happens to "HIS" people. A religion which calls Him Lord, Lord, but doesn't walk in these "Good Works" God foreordained has been tricked. I believe this is the Broad Path the Christ spoke of, and am trying to have a discussion about it.

But religious men seem more interested in justifying themselves and the religious traditions they "believe" in, rather than fellowshipping and discussing "EVERY" Word which comes from the mouth of God and they get angry and place people on ignore, much in the same way Cain silenced his brother, and religious man tried to silence Caleb, all the Prophets, the Christ Himself, and all His Disciples.

I believe that given all the warnings of God, it would be prudent to have these discussions. But this is not shared with very many folks on this forum.

GG 101 seems to be the exception.

All who have not rested and trusted fully in the saving work of Christ do the above. It is a false, hopeless gospel leading to a rude awakening to the solemn words of the Lord Jesus Christ; "I never knew you."

Like I have said numerous times....the workers for, Cainologists and Pharisee do the following..

a. Deny, change or omit context
b. Deny, change, embellish or omit verbiage and verb tense
c. Deny, change, omit, embellish or flat reject scripture in context

For example.....they will say....

WORKS do not save us, but they keep us saved

Eternal or everlasting life really means temporal life based upon what we do

Kept by the power of God through faith means we keep our self saved by what we do

The irrevocable gift of faith and salvation is revocable and a wage or reward earned by service

The hope of the bible which means a confidence of something guaranteed actually equates to the type of hope one has when they buy a lottery ticket.

Paul is Romans and James in James are conflated and or pitted against each other while the context of both is ignored and or rejected

Paul states we are eternally justified by faith alone yet they teach we justify ourselves by our works

and on and on and on and on......
Duet. 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Matt. 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Rom. 12:
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world (Including the religions of the world) but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Rom. 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Rom. 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Luke 10:
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Matt.7:
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matt. 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Matt. 7:
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

It's always been about what the religions of the world preach VS. what the Word of God which became Flesh actually says.

You hatred and anger towards folks who believe "ALL" that is written started with Cain and continues to this day. It is perfectly Natural. That's the whole point.

Blah blah blah....

Do you keep the law? ALL 613 laws?
Do you give a tenth of all your increase to the priests? Which priesthood?
Have you stoned any of your children to death for rebellion?
Have you plucked your eye out because it caused offense?

Let me tell you something pal...YOU do not live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God and you for sure reject truth on a regular basis while conflating numerous "ations" to peddle your own vanilla twist false gospel which has no basis in the word of God......

Best thing you can do is ignore me and do not respond to me....99% of what you say falls to the ground void.....

It is rather tragic at the end of the day....the fact that they indeed do peddle the same Cainology that the plenteous in number peddle.....Lord Lord have we not done........and they absolutely cannot see this truth.....bad day coming for them

All who have not rested and trusted fully in the saving work of Christ do the above. It is a false, hopeless gospel leading to a rude awakening to the solemn words of the Lord Jesus Christ; "I never knew you."
And in your cleaver, subtle way you post just the parts of God's Word to further your religion and "omit" the most important part of the lesson the Christ was teaching us.

For those reading along, let me include the Word's of the Messiah that you purposely "omitted".

"I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

"For by the Law is the knowledge of sin (iniquity)"

Ex. 20:
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

And yet your religion has created an image of God in the likeness of some long haired men's hair shampoo model which has become known world wide as the "Christian" god. This is forbidden by the very First Commandment.

Were they or you ashamed when they did such a thing? No, you are not ashamed. You defend this iniquity.

Ex. 20:
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Starting with Constantine and onward to this very day The Holy Sabbath of the Lord thy God, The Word of God which was made Flesh, is polluted, rejected, denied, and for centuries anyone who humbled themselves to God in this commandment was murdered by those called called the Christ "Lord, Lord.

Were they ashamed when they did such a travesty in Christ's Name? No, you are not ashamed, you defend this iniquity.

And God tells you and I of these things before they even happened.

Jer. 6:
13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, (You are Saved) when there is no peace.

15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, (Depart from Me, I never knew you) saith the LORD.

16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, (That God before ordained) where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they (you) said, We will not walk therein.

17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet.(listen to "ALL" the Word's of God) But they (you) said, We will not hearken.

Jer. 5:
23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. (You shall surely not die)

27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

It is because I trust "Fully" on the Word of God which became Flesh that I listen to Him over the religious gossip and traditions of the land.

Shouldn't a person "believe" what the Christ tells us? Not just the parts that can be twisted to justify your ancient religious traditions, but "EVERY WORD" which proceeds from the Mouth of God? I believe we should.

Do you keep the law? ALL 613 laws?
Phil. 3:
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, (Pharisee's religion) but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: (already immortal, already saved) but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

Do you give a tenth of all your increase to the priests? Which priesthood?
Rom. 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Have you stoned any of your children to death for rebellion?
Heb. 12:
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Have you plucked your eye out because it caused offense?
John 6:
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Matt. 13:
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Yes, I will struggle with my flesh till I die. But I have Faith in the Christ of the Bible. "He that endures to the end shall be saved".

And I believe His warning about religious men, and I believe "Every Word" He says. Even the parts that expose your religion as from man and not from God.

Is. 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Matt. 7:
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

You hatred isn't of me, I understand this, your hatred is of the Word of God.

I see from your posts that you do not "believe" in "ALL HIS WORDS". Why do you waste time belittling me when it is you who reject Him?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man,

27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law,

If you love Me, keep my commandments.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

You quote the above from Matthew.

Here is the verses

Matthew 11:20-22
20 Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.

Slight difference:cool:

Anyway I knew what you are trying to convey

Romans 11:20-22
20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.

The question I want to ask you is that do you think these verses negate eternal security or as you may think OSAS.

My guess is that you do.

I don't think this is the case.
I think it's do with nations.
The Jews and gentiles.

V 11-36 is about Israel rejecting Jesus.

Romans 11:19-21
19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.

Who were the natural branches and why were they cut off?

Who were the branches that were grafted into the vine

Romans 11:18-20
18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear.

The issue is that the gentiles were boasting that they were superior to the Jews just like the Jews felt towards the gentiles.

But we find

Romans 11:23
23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

We must remember that Paul bought the Gospel to the gentiles because the Jews rejected the Gospel.

So it's not about individuals losing salvation it's about Gods redemptive plan for his chosen people, both Israel and the Gentiles.

Romans 11:25-27
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
Hi Bill
Yes! I meant Romans,,,thanks.
Everything you've posted is 100% correct and also not too many know this.

Romans chapters 9 to 11 ate specifically written about the nation of Israel exactly as you've stated.
Calvinists love to use these chapters to prove God chooses us. I don't have my Bible right now but I'm talking about the Potter and the vessels, etc.

So Romans 11 is specifically speaking about national, or corporate, salvation but it does refer to what Jesus was speaking of in John 15 about the vine, the branches, and how we are to remain attached.

Because Paul speaks in the same terms as Jesus, I believe we could also apply Romans to personal salvation.

You may not agree.

Here is what we absolutely Believe about the Good Works issue.

Obedience is PART of the LOVE that GOD poured into our Heart.

Romans 5:1-10 (HCSB)
1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,
4 endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.
5 This hope will not disappoint ⌊us⌋, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 For while we were still helpless [no works or good deeds], at the appointed moment, Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For rarely will someone die for a just person—though for a good person perhaps someone might even dare to die.
8 But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us!
9 Much more then, since we have now been declared righteous by His blood, we will be saved through Him from wrath.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, ⌊then how⌋ much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!

Absolutely, NO WORKS, had any part in our SALVATION, and it was COMPLETE THE MOMENT WE CONFESSED (not just professed) that JESUS IS MY LORD, which means MASTER. And these things happened to the TRUE BELIEVERS at that same Moment.

The Holy Spirit Came into our Heart (human spirit). John 14:16-18, 1 Cor. 6:19-20, Eph. 1:13-14
Convicts our conscious of our Utterly SINFUL lifestyle, gives us a deep mourning over it. Acts 11:18, Acts 20:20-21, Ps. 51:17
The Holy Spirit Birthed our human spirit into ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:6-7, 1 Pet. 1:3-5, John 6:47
Declared us Righteous solely, because of WHAT JESUS DID ON THE CROSS. Rom. 5:9-10, Tit. 3:4-7, Luke 18:14
The Holy Spirit gets you to RECEIVE JESUS as LORD, and Confess Him as LORD. John 1:12-13, Col. 2:6, Rom. 10:9-11
The Holy Spirit Poured GOD's LOVE directly into our Heart (human spirit). Rom. 5:5, 1 John 3:14-17, Psa. 40:10
The Holy Spirit Immersed (BAPTIZED) us INTO the Spiritual Body of Christ. 1 Cor. 12:13, Rom. 6:3-4, Gal. 3:27
And gave our new born human spirit a Hunger and Thirst for Righteousness. John 6:35, 1 Pet. 2:2, Heb. 5:12-14, Rev. 21:6

That is all on DAY ONE, and it is TOTALLY COMPLETE, a GIFT OF GOD. IT IS SALVATION.

SO WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT?

NOTICE THAT WHEN GOD SAVED US, HE POURED HIS LOVE DIRECTLY INTO OUR HEARTS (human spirit).
That LOVE was sown into our Hearts in the FERTILE SOIL, and it will SPROUT, Grow DEEP ROOTS, and Produce a Bountiful Harvest of the SAME KIND OF LOVE HE PLANTED THERE. So OBEDIENCE IS A PRODUCT OF GOD's LOVE being PLANTED IN OUR HEARTS. You do not even get to puff yourself up with PRIDE for your OBEDIENCE. IT WAS PRODUCED FROM GOD's LOVE in our hearts. So get down off your High Horse, Humble yourself, and be in AWE of what CHRIST is doing in your LIFE. 1 John 3: 14-19

Philippians 1:6 (NIV)
6 being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Galatians 2:19-20 (HCSB)
19 For through the law I have died to the law, so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ
20 and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

GIVE HIM ALL THE GLORY FOR DOING ALL GOOD WORKS THAT COME OUT OF THE LOVE IN YOUR HEART.
Hi VCO
Your last sentence sounds very calvinistic. But I'll take it at face value...of course God gets all the glory.

As to Romans 5, I'm not too joyful in adversity, but I accept what comes my way.
Otherwise, it's all good - as all the NT is.

I also agree with everything else you've stated except two points...

1. Yes. All you've said happens in one day except for a cepting Jesus as Lord.
Some person's can accept him as Lord immediately and hear His voice right away and find it easy to reply and adhere. For some it takes longer and may be incremental.

2. It's not being on a high horse to state that God is to be obeyed. The entire Bible is full of persons that obeyed God. Haven't you ever heard anyone say that a person is saved forever no matter how they live? I've heard this and it's frightening because it's not true and could cause someone to become lost.

Jesus said if we don't obey Him we don't love Him.
If we don't love Him are we still saved?

You OMITTED a CRITICAL Phrase in the Bottom line, so I cannot agree.

IF WE LOVE HIM WILL trust and obey God as best we can to be with Him for eternity.

John 14:15 (HCSB)
15 If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

The way you phrased it make is PART OF SALVATION, IT IS PART OF LOVE.
!!!
This is what I just posted to you!
Do you not think we Must obey?
Is it OK to choose Not to??

You have to look at all his previous posts. I put up with it, way, way to long. If I remember right, I had him on my IGNORE LIST early last spring, and let him off. Then you and him are in the same false gospel boat, I presume ? ? ?

The Gospel according to JESUS, is HE SAVED US the day the Holy Spirit came in, as a Free GIFT.

In fact, Our Names were written in the BOOK OF LIFE, Before the Foundation of the World.

NO ONE GENUINELY SAVED CAN LOSE THEIR SALVATION because IT IS IN HIS HANDS, anything less is a False Gospel.

John 14:23 (HCSB)
23 Jesus answered, If anyone loves Me [Born Again - the beginning of a lifestyle of LOVING HIM, and the beginning of which equals SALVATION.], he will keep My word [After HE SAVED US, His LOVE in us produces the Same kind of LOVE back towards HIM, 1 John 5:3.]. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

1 John 2:19 (HCSB)
19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.

Those are the ones that benhur wanted to say lost their SALVATION.

What does NONE mean to you?

Just so you know, I consider that to be your second, warning.

Second warning of what?

You're conflating sanctification with justification. Being justified is monergistic. That is salvation. Sanctification is synergistic. That isn't salvation but it is evidence of conversion.
Agreed.
Justification = an act of God.
Sanctification = requires the participation of man.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

Jeremiah6:16
This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths: Where is the good way? Then walk in it and find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it!'

Hi Studyman, when I first read a few of your posts I thought okay that's good here is a seeker of the truth. But then a short time later I doubted your interpretations of scripture, because you were mixing the "Old" with the "New." I love to study passages from the Old Covenant because it is so rich in raw truth about life, about relationships, about heaven and hell and about sin and death.

In my humble view of your interpretations of God's word is; you are interpreting the New Covenant in light of the Old Covenant, conversely you should interpret the Old in light of the New. "Never study the New Covenant in light of the Old Covenant, why, because your view of salvation will be distorted.

For a simple example; a new believer should start to read the Gospel of John chapter one before they begin to read Genesis chapter one. also the Old Covenant shows us prophecies that are waiting to be fulfilled later in the New Covenant.

I believe your method of interpretation is the reason why so many people reject your points of view. Just my opinion of course so take it or leave it. The article below is because other people have more knowledge on the subject of Biblical Interpretation than I do, such as:

Quote: "Dr. Robert Young the author of Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible, an outstanding Hebrew and Greek scholar, states in his work, 'Hints and Helps to Biblical Interpretation'

God bless!

"When you study (read) the Old Testament in the light of the New" - you see the one we now call Jesus everywhere! He spoke and the universe was created. He walked with Adam in the Garden of Eden. He sealed Noah into the Ark. He cut the blood covenant with Abram and called him Abraham. He spoke from the burning bush. He divided the Red Sea. He was in the cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. He gave the tablets to Moses. He dwelt in the temple of God. He stopped the Jordan River. He drove out the inhabitance and gave Israel the Promised Land. He was the 4th man in the fiery furnace. He was with Gideon in battle. He appeared to Samuel in Shiloh. And, He spoke to Isaiah and the other prophets. And that doesn't even begin to touch all the types and analogies of Jesus all through the Old Testament.

When you study (read) the Old Testament in the light of the New - you open yourself to revelation and a rich depth of understanding that would never be available from the Old Testament alone.

Sort of, but still Soli Deo Gloria: "For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure." Philippians 2:13, cf. Ephesians 3:20; Ezekiel 36:27.

In this post you are ignoring the fact none of us is righteous. We all fail and have to rely on grace through faith in Jesus for the penalty of our sins to be removed from us.
