Philipians 3:12-14

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

It is good to trust in Jesus that will make us perfect. But I believe it is long process. We will perfect when we meet Him in heaven

Paul admitted he is not perfect yet. We aren't better than Paul.

Go ask Satan if it is possible with God to cease from all sin?

Then go ask God if it is possible in Him to cease from all sin?

Then compare both answers.
1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin (present tense), we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Those who believe they have ceased from all sin agree with Satan, are deceived and suffer from a terminal case of self righteousness. :cautious:

It's not possible to live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life (exactly as Jesus lived) 100% of the time. (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8-10)

Did the natural man in Eph 2 especially in verse 5, have faith before he was regenerated?
Think about it for a minute

Why was he dead? Because of sin.

This means the sin issue has to be removed BEFORE he can be made alive.

This happens because of redemption and justification.

We are justified by faith

Thus, yes He had to have had faith BEFORE his sins were forgiven, which would allow him to be made alive.

I voted other and you asked to explain, so I will. Messiah did what He did but just because He did it does not get me to heaven. I can never do what Messiah did, He obeyed the Law and did things that proved He is Messiah. The narrow path is humbling myself, a sinner in need of a Savior, calling upon the name of the Lord (Messiah/Y-sha) as my Savior, and believing in my heart. He is the ONLY Way, Truth, and Life!!!!

If we (that includes you and me) say we have no sin we decieve ourselves and there is no truth in us.

If you think you can go 100% of the day every day and never think of self. Never fail to do what what you know is right because something is more important in your view, Always place the needs of others over your own needs, As John said, You are decieved.

Of course you can do all things in christ, The problem is you are not christ. Yes he will strengthen you. But you are still in the way. All one has to do is look at the pride in your posts to see you can not take your focus off self for more and a few hours. Let alone all day.

If you want to always win at everything you do...
then don't put yourself in any position you will lose.

I never lose with God.
You just lost. Because your focus is on self. Not God. You can name and claim God all you want Your focus is on self. No one is buying your self righteousness

All things are possible with GOD. He will not suffer us to be tempted above that we are able to bear but with the temptation give us a way to escape. For it is GOD that works in us both to will and do HIS good pleasure.

The doctrine to which you put forth is not of Faith, therefore it is sin in and of itself.

It was asked, was it possible to have sin and not be sinning. There is a difference; but both need confessed. We will always have sin that needs confessed before it rears it's ugly self into action; sinning.

Eccl 7:19 Wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty which are in the city.
Eccl 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Verse 20 is being stated in reference to verse 19 the naturally wise man who is without the Wisdom which is of GOD. Without that Wisdom which is through HIS Spirit through Christ we are without the strength and will fail. But through Christ; the Wisdom which is from above we are strengthen more than ten of the naturally righteous.

1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. - Amen!

Philippians 2:13 - for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. - Amen! Yet these passages of scripture do not negate (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8-10).

Through Christ, believers do find Wisdom and strength, yet that does not mean believers will never stumble at all. Especially babes in Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:1-3) Believers begin as babes in Christ and growing to maturity is a process.

The flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. The struggle is real, even for those who are not honest enough to admit it. The apostle Paul was honest in Romans chapter 7. The apostle Peter was a true believer, yet he still fell away "along with the other disciples" (Matthew 26:30-35) and even denied knowing Jesus 3 times! (Luke 22:54-60) In Galatians 2:11-14, we read where Paul had to rebuke Peter for playing a hypocrite and not being straightforward about the truth of the gospel.

I've had discussions with people who claim to be sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolutely perfect 100% of the time, yet it doesn't take very long for them violate 1 John 1:8, bear false witness against believers and pervert the gospel, which is sin.

Narrow is the Way who few find, while broad is the way, and many there are that choose it.
If you love God/love and your neighbor, you are on the narrow path.
If you love automobiles, hobbies, investments, politics, etc., etc., etc., you are then on the broad path.

These sinless perfectionists are full of it......even the most righteous men of the bible had sin and sinned.....EVEN Daniel was confessing his SINS.....there is not a just man upon the earth that does good and SINS NOT is clear......ALL that say they do not sin have already lied and sinned in the process.....

Yes, If you know Jesus.
THere will be many who will think they knew Jesus, to whom the Lord will reply He never knew them (Matthew 7:23).

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Yep and......they like ALL religious workers for, Pharisees and Cainologists claim...

A. To know JESUS
B. Expect to enter based upon their wonderful works in his name

HE NEVER knew them and contrary to popular belief, they were never saved and lost it.....

How does this prove the following? Answer....it does not....

If one looks at all of the worlds religions. All of them (except 1) preach that our entrance to heaven/enlightenment/the next life or whatever, is based on what we do in this lifetime.

The 1 that does not teach this, that is the narrow way (one). The others, shows the broad way (many)

Jesus is the son of God, and as such is the son of love, for God is love (1 John 4:8 & 16).
They who know love, love (God and His Son) knows them.
They who do not know love, love (God and His Son) does not know them.

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
