Hmmmm..reincarnation or rising from the dead to come back as someone different? Kinda extreme..
Jesus took upon Himself a body, died and returned, in a body. We are not speaking of mortals . . . we are speaking of supernatural beings that could assume the form of another. Satan was a serpent in the garden.

When youre God you can be sure to judge judas heart...

Please magenta..again..please AGREE TO DISAGREE N LET IT BE??? Thanks
Jewel, Jesus judged Judas' heart and told us all about it, but you want to say you do not know, and extend that to we cannot know. I know what the Word of God says. Judas was not a believer, ever. TruthTalk said the same thing. If you want to let it go, simply stop addressing me about this with your error, for I am bound to correct you, which you obviously dislike :)

Hey Benhur, the branches that are "cut off" are "false believers", "hangers on", like Judas Escariot.

Judas couldve become a "true christian" 5 min before his death..can you say otherwise?
You are denying the very words of Jesus.
Judas repented then hung himself. True repentance brings about a right relationship with God, not suicide. Judas' repentance was not real.
From out of left field: Could suicide of a Christian and destroying the work of the Holy Spirit constitute Blasphemy of the H.S.? I sure don't know but sometimes I wonder.

OMW..too many people "making the rules" on whose saved n not..knowing he just sent a man he followed..libed with..had a friendship with for 3 yrs ..he sent this innocent man to his horrific heath..how could judas LIVE with himself say nothing bout how the other desciples would feel..Zthe deapth of his remorse probably was so deep n intense he COULD no longer libe with himself? ..not sincere remorse? Really? I cant IMAGINE what judas went through...

How do you KNOW judas wasnt a true believer? True believers fall to temptation all the time like judas did..
Judas was never saved and then lost it because the scriptures were clear...

a. Have not I chosen you 12 and yet one of you IS a devil <--"Be verb shows state of being"
b. He was a DEVIL from the beginning
c. Called the Son of Perdition
d. The thief holding the bag

My view...Judas was never saved and was chosen so that scripture might be fulfilled.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is to equate the work of Christ to the power of the devil = a state of unbelief....one who will not believe that Christ is of God and doing the work through the power of the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven.

The whole topic bout judas that came up was bout the vine n branches ..judas was used in the context as an "example" n like most things in this forum..it snowballed on a tangent n took on a whole new animal of its own...i didnt say judas was RIGHT..i didnt say was perfect but i DUD say no one can judge judas heart if he was saved or not except God..

Yeah, some are good at that.

The death of Judas pales in comparison to crucifixion.

Umm yeah I know the context of the thread and we can judge the words applied by Jesus unto Judas....there is no indication that he was saved by the verbiage employed.....Son of Destruction, Devil x 2 was and is, who would NOT BELIEVE IN HIM are all clear......just sayin

This is just a side note concerning who the beast will be...John writes....

The beast that

Was
Is Not
Shall ascend out of the bottomless pit

When John writes Revelation he uses the above verbiage which is

Past tense <--was
Is Not <--present tense when he is writing
Will Ascend out of bottomless pit<--yet future tense when he pens Revelation

Someone who was alive, dead in the bottomless pit and allowed to ascend out of the pit.

What is it is Judas?

Not saying it is, just always though how he was and is a devil....and for sure a few thousand years in hell would evolve his hate for the one who "Failed him"......

Just a point to ponder.....not saying I believe the above, just something interesting
