Anaheim, Cali.
Hi, some how I overlooked your profile, I have seen it now, favorite bible verse, ISAIAH 55:10 ...:)
The favorite bible verse changes from time to time. John 3:16 & 17 covers most all but depending on what I feel called to do which also changes I pick the one I lean on most according to the situation. Another very near the top of my all time list is Psalm 1, the whole psalm.

Uh, you didn't read my profile. 'Single with grand children.' Divorced 34 years. My children chose me to be with and have children of their own now.

Lawton is small in scale compared to what I'm used to but including Ft. Sill claims about 100k
Hi Calibob, I grew up in and around So.Cal. my wife and I were retired in Thailand where I planned to live out my life until God calls me home. As normal for me we had to relocate back to California to receive better treatment for my prostate cancer. Now we are living in Lancaster, Ca. and are planning a Trip to visit my wife's family in Thailand through the Christmas season.

The cost of living in Thailand is super cheap, you can live like a king on a small pension or social security. I am praying that God will extend my time on earth, as He see's fit to do, and that we may return to our home and family in Thailand. So far our Heavenly Father has been so gracious and giving, He has been there for my wife and I with blessing after blessing. Praise God for He is an Amazing Loving God, without Him we are all nothing.

You have a lovely family enjoy the good years...:)

Complete nonsense, your fake gospel is not even believable. You are a deceiver and I do not believe one word that you are saying.
Living a life like Jesus is nonsense to you? I think you don't know what a Christian really is?

You are the one that said:

"There does not have to be agreement on any particular doctrine, but we can be in harmony concerning Jesus Christ. We believe in him and we are brothers in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I will never, as you have said, agree 100% of what you believe, but we can shake hands about Jesus, and commune at the same sacrament table."

AND all you have to do is ANSWER THE QUESTIONS, for us to TELL IF YOU WORSHIP THE SAME JESUS AS WE DO.

You are SO WRONG, there is only ONE REAL JESUS CHRIST, and hundreds of FALSE JESUS CHRISTS, made up in the minds of MEN.

Matthew 24:24-25 (NASB)
24 "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
25 "Behold, I have told you in advance.

Mormons - Believe in a False Jesus Christ.

Jehovah Witnesses - Believes in a False Jesus Christ.

PLEASE answer all the questions TRUTHFULLY so that we all can see if you Believe in the real Jesus Christ, or a Counterfeit Christ.
I did.

I guess you are in decon's camp that 90% of Christians are wrong and worship the wrong Jesus. Good going, I am glad for you that you are right and that you worship the right Jesus. I'm sure that is comforting to your own mind.

Why do you continue with this nonsense? Are you so insecure in your own faith you have to continue to lie about what others believe to spoort your own gospel.

No one here states what your claiming, We state the truth, that if we are doing what you say we shoudl do to MAINTAIN or KEEP our salvation (ie, keep from losing it) you teach legalism.

If you went to our churches, you would see we preach we should live Like Jesus, he was our example. And we should strive to learn how he did it, sp we can do it also.

(Don't you mean - "Churchianity")
2Timothy3:7, "always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth."

Social programs will never save a human soul, but "God Can"

Benhur, your words are in vain and nobody believes a word of what you say, can you not see that? And in vain you are attempting to falsely interpret scriptures to support your worldly social gospel, you are not even close to professing the True Gospel. "Your Churchianity" and social programs belong in the public domain not on a Conservative Christian Forum.

Evangelical Christians are about Jesus and redeeming the human soul from destruction, not social programs. Your attempt to mimic the life of Jesus and replace the Church with social programs is a "complete failure", Please take your, street organ, monkey dancing business out of this beautiful Christian Forum.

Biblical definition: Churchianity
The term is a play on the word "Christianity", churchianity can become a replacement for true, biblical Christianity.

The term churchianity, in popular usage, takes on a broader meaning, as it is often applied to a redefinition of the gospel. In churchianity, God’s redemption story has been repackaged into a "self-help program" that has some Christian flavor "but is stripped of salvation’s true meaning."

Mark8:35-37
35)
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36) What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37) Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

So that will turn a person into a Christian if they do those things?

Are you asking that if a person lives like Jesus lived, would that turn him into a Christian? The answer is not quite. You first must believe in Jesus and be baptized of the Holy Spirit, then we follow our example Jesus and try to live as much like him as we can.
To me that whole process is necessary to be saved. Believeing is just the beginning, but not the end.

Matthew 7:13-14 (NASB)
13 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. {.That Destruction is described in Mat. 10:28.}
14 "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

It does not get any plainer..........Our righteous works have ZERO to do with Salvation!

English Standard Version
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

Berean Study Bible
He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Berean Literal Bible
He saved us, not by works in righteousness that we did, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

New American Standard Bible
He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

King James Bible
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

It is said that no one can save themselves by their works in righteousness.
If this is true then by the same token no one can condemn themselves
by their works in unrighteousness. Or neither one of these can be the truth?

If your church had no social interaction with each other, you would go to church and sit at your pew, and not talk to anyone and then get up and go home. If OTOH, you find yourself talking to people at church, then you are socially interacting and your church is a social church. It can be a social church and still be a church that centers its gospel around Jesus Christ and his true gospel. So don't get all red in the face if I say your church is a social church.

I happen to enjoy this forum and you will not bully me off, with your unkind, and unChrisian words. I obviously do not believe 100% what you believe, but who does? Just because I don't believe 100% of what your Christian view is, does not mean that I need to leave the forum. We would probably agree 80% with each other, but the other 20% we will never agree.

But I say because you are a good warrior for Christ, I extend my hand of fellowship. Can you do the same?
