Weather alerts are necessary here, yesterday afternoon we got a flash flood warning. We live on the plains, Comanche County.

Do you remember the movie 'Car Wash?' Dr. George played the guy with the urine sample they thought was nitro.

We don't waste money on cable TV either not at $160 per mo. I get Netflix, my daughter get HULU and we share. You Tube is free. We get weather alerts from NOAA nearby and we (of course) get MSN weather.
I don't think I did see that movie... I just watched a youtube preview of it and it rang no bells LOL. In 1976, I was more interested in jamming with my friends :) YouTube sure has some interesting things on it :unsure::eek::D:)

We get flood warnings occasionally, and other various weather alerts, but the bad stuff rarely visits the city where I live... it almost always seems to be elsewhere, even close-by, but not here... though I do remember terrible wind storms that blew trees down all over the city. I hope you stay safe :)

Our place is brick filled with concrete on a concrete slab. No worries but I do laugh when a 2or 3 point earthquake hits hundreds of miles away and people get freaked out:eek::D:LOL:.

An earthquake woke me up one morning; I thought a dog was jumping on the end of my bed, 'cept I don't have a dog LOL. Yeah, I have felt others, too, but most of them are under 5 on the Richter magnitude scale. They keep telling us a big one is coming

I made a special trip to my mail box so I could pay my outstanding bills. See? An old dog CAN learn new tricks LOL. Then when I went to pay my bills by phone, I was not presented with a full list of payees, so I called the bank only to discover that an account I closed earlier this year is still active. What the heck? I was told all activity on that account would STOP once it was closed, but noooooooooo, preauthorized payments that I wished to stop are still being allowed through  I also had to call our medical services plan to find out why I have not received a bill recently, and was told it was because they have reduced our rates by almost half, so the prepayments I made a while ago will last for eight more months  Haha, good news, and bad news. The bank person is going to call me back after looking into this fiasco regarding a closed account that for some strange reason remains active. I had closed it after my car was broken into earlier this year :p

You can't trust those banks. When I got out of the nursing home late in '16, I closed two accounts in an Oklahoma town and opened two more in the new town. While in the nursing home my step-son tried to manage my accounts and ended up misplacing about $900. I tried to use an Arvest card and they told me the account was closed. I say okay and go to the other bank, and a vice president help me close the account.

Well a month later I get a statement that gave me 2 cents interest, because of a balance I had earlier in the month. I went to the bank and asked them why they didn't get it closed. They had no answer, but finally closed it. I decided Arvest was still a good option for my second bank so I opened a new account there. A week later I get a statement from Arvest that the closed account had a balance owed of $12. I could just have given them the $12 and kept the same account number, but they didn't let me know that until I had opened the other. Two tries to close bank accounts, and 2 failures. Will they ever get a clue?

I've figured out once again (by learning the hard way) that if I want my day to go smoothly I need to avoid the local walmart.

I remember that movie (very vaguely). I saw some of it on tv, but never saw the whole thing. Very cheesy as I remember it lol. :D (and not for christians) The song from that movie was like a #1 hit for some time and it got airplay on the radio for years. I like the song. I used have it running through my head everytime I washed my car :D I don't know who Dr. George is though.

Actually I think it was a spin off of the song, which was also a disco spin off of Jim Croce's 'Car wash blues'. Great song. "You know I just got out of the county prison doin' 90 days for non support. Tried to find me an executive position but no matter how smooth I talked...They wouldn't listen to the fact that I'm a genius, they said boy we've got all that we can use. Now I've got those steadily depressin', low down mind messin', woikin' at the car wash blues. Jim Croce.jpg RIP, Jim. Plane crash

Wow, nobody's posted her for 11 hrs. My net was out for at least 2 but this time the blame was on someone in the house here who thought he had reset the main router but turned it off :rolleyes::poop: We're so used to it we all found something else to do besides be on line. I made a tool stool out of a 5 gal. bucket and a curtain for my glass door. But I'm throwing in the towel. Tomorrows another day. Night all you night owls.
