My pastor teaches us what the Bible says, and it is painful obvious that God will cast those who don't use their talent to earn as much money as they can so they can contribute more to the Church into the lake of fire.

It is a great sin to be lazy and unprofitable, it's akin to stealing from God and no thieves will enter the Kingdom.
oh my gosh , once again a bunch of false teaching !!

Once again , No Believer will be thrown into the lake of fire because they didnt give enough money to their church !!!!!!!!!

Do you know what age we are in ? Do you understand we are in the age of Grace or do you understand Gods grace at all ??

I think if someone goes to a church and is spirtually fed there , then they should support that church finacially , but what your saying about them being thrown into the lake of fire for not giving enough , is a bunk of bunk , i seriously hope your kidding and dont really believe this , how sad if you do :(

God has overhead?

You might avail yourself of the scripture in 1 Timothy 6 and particularly verses 17 through 19.

“I never would have been able to tithe the first million dollars I ever made if I had not tithed my first salary, which was $1.50 per week.” (W. A. Criswell, A Guidebook for Pastors, p. 154.)

Then perhaps read the Christ's parable in Luke 16. That of the rich man and Lazarus.

You will never convince me that God wants us to live in poverty, God wants us to be healthy wealth and wise. he has given everyone many talents and if we use the talents He gave us we would become wealthy in most cases. I'm not talking about those in sub Saharan Africa, where war and famine prevent them from prospering.

Nobody in the west should be in poverty, there are opportunities for everyone to excel and make a good living and prosper. I came from an ordinary working class family, but I started my own business and God has blessed it after I converted. Before my conversion I was always struggling, but God instilled certain principles in me which helped me in business.

There are opportunities for everyone, you just have to go after them and don't give up until you succeed.

The parable of thew talents describes so called believers, who come to give account of what they did with the talents that God gave them. We see the one who didn't use his talent was thrown into hell, he wasn't a true believer but he thought he was. These are the same as those who come to Christ on the last day saying Lord, Lord and you know what happens to them.

I do know the difference but I will allow you to correct me :)
If you know how is it you can be corrected?

I asked God, "Why are you taking me through troubled water?"
He replied, "Because your enemies can't swim."

I do not see my postings as upholding the virtue of poverty.

I shall leave you to your belief.

You seem to have an issue with successful Christians, the Bible never forbids us to enjoy the fruits of our work. It's OK to have a nice house a new car and good clothes, as long as we put God first. We are encouraged to give our tithes and offerings generously and sacrificially in secret and God will bless us openly.

Everything belongs to God, so we are only giving Him what He owns anyway. He wants us to give generously so we don't become selfish, by giving generously we starve out selfishness and become better people for it.

We should give generously of course , whether to our church or to help others , but you saying that those believers who dont give enough will be thrown into the lake of fire , tells me you have no idea about Salvation or Gods grace

The parable of the talents says otherwise, God expects every professing Christian to be as fruitful as possible. The parable speaks about a person who didn't use his God given talents to bare enough fruit. It suggests that if we don't bare a certain amount of fruit, He will cast us into the lake of fire.

God is a fair judge so He won't expect more than your talent allows you to earn and give

Such ridiculous garbage he posts !!!
Yes I agree, I was not sure how familiar you were with the material that has been posted over the past while, so I just wanted to forewarn you it is hard to know where the fiction stops and the reality begins.

I definitely agree on the garbage part, nothing to edify or instruct there. :)

once again , not rightly dividing between Jesus's earthly ministry and the age of grace

are u serious ??? A believer who doesnt bare a certain amount of fruit will be cast into the lake of fire , how much fruit is necessary ?

10% is the bare minimum amount a Christian must give. But the Bible says we must be generous givers and 10% is not generous, it's like the lowest acceptable amount. Being generous would be more like 30%
