It offends me. If I think a lady is trying to attract my attention in a romantic way and she's not. I'd rather be left alone.

Again, your naivety is showing, not because of age but because of what you say.

There's one kind of Love, the love for one another as commanded by God because Love is God Himself. This is the kind of love you'd apply to all (friend and foe, young and old, rich and poor, men and women, parents and children). This is also the kind of love that binds a husband and wife as one flesh.

But, the flesh part brings another kind of love which is normally called lust. This love if practiced within the confines of what God has commanded us, is sacred. It is created by God and physical attraction (and not character) is the basis of this kind of love. It is so sacred that the devil attacks it in a manner people would have tendency to be physically attracted to the same sex.

If you are a young man who is physically attracted to a young woman, give thanks to God instead of 'praying it away' and resisting. It is for this reason we were given eyes/sight and day light.
In your naivety you still talk about character in women and men, you actually don't realize that if one is physically attracted to someone, their character automatically fits in and vise versa.
Truly truly i tell you, even though character is not visible, you'll have to use your eyes to see these characters in a woman and be physically attracted to them.

Even though in your thoughts, not everyone has the right character, the saying that there is someone for everyone is correct because this character is actually nothing apart from what we see with our eyes/sight and where there's sight, there must be physical attraction.
Your quote

"...... you actually don't realize that if one is physically attracted to someone, their character automatically fits"

Huh? You suggest that if youre just physically attracted to someone your persinality traits will just mesh?

I've been told I'm not a Christian cause I like beer and cigars. I'm convinced me and God will be having one together.
Jesus might have a glass of wine instead of beer ;)
I would suggest you get to know a person before judging them on the basis of the fact they like a beer or a cigar or cigarette.
You judge that on the basis they get pissed all the time given the verses you quoted above.

You even put fornicating in the equation above and goodness knows why.

What about lying, what about gossip, what about not feeding the hungry, visiting the sick and so on.
What does Jesus judge us on?

With regards to your post about the temple of God, take time to understand the context.

3:16-17: Christians must be very careful, both in what they teach and in how they relate to one another, because the body of believers is the temple of God, the home of the Spirit of God who lives in (or among) them (cp. Eph 2:21-22), and God’s temple is holy (see 1:2). There are terrible consequences for anyone who destroys God’s temple by such things as jealousy, argumentativeness, and divisiveness (see 3:3-4).

What was Jesus 1st miracle?

With regards to Romans 6:16

Here it is

Romans 6:16
16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

Shame you didn't quote that verse, but you posted below it from Romans 6 1

Romans 6:1
Chapter 6
Dead to Sin, Alive to God
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?

So you have come across as saying that the sin leading to death is drinking alcohol.

But

Psalms 104:14-15
14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
And vegetation for the service of man,
That he may bring forth food from the earth,
15 And wine that makes glad the heart of man,
Oil to make his face shine,
And bread which strengthens man's heart.
In general and not specific to you..theres dufference between judgement and spiritual decernment..people like to throw that "judgement card" all over the place these days..why is that..is it because they might feel slight onviction that it might be true? Curious

Be real if you even in internet zone but its not suggested to find love on the chatting sites no matter what. Dont play with heart then you wont get trouble in the future.
In short dont get involve with any romance bussiness coz specially cc is not a dating site :)
Do you only need dating sights to find love?

Here is a better definition of the Halo effect from https://www.verywellmind.com/what-is-the-halo-effect-2795906

Definition of the Halo Effect
  • "Also known as the physical attractiveness stereotype and the "what is beautiful is good" principle, the halo effect, at the most specific level, refers to the habitual tendency of people to rate attractive individuals more favorably for their personality traits or characteristics than those who are less attractive.

Oh! :giggle::poop:. I never found lust of the flesh a reliable way to base a relationship on. I don't trust MY FLESH.
That's good of you but don't cheat yourself. Our bodies have been purposefully created in such a manner that they need and we are continuously looking to fulfill these needs. God has put boundaries to what we can and can not do when we are looking to fulfill these needs.
Hunger is when your flesh demands for energy and how you go about obtaining that energy could be or could not be sin- being a gluttony is sin.

In the same manner, lust is when your flesh demands for sexual fulfillment and there are boundaries on how we fulfill this demand. The bible says, marry and he who finds a wife has done a good thing, it doesn't tell you to pray it off because the one who created this body knows best.

The feeling that you have for your wife is not the same feeling you have for your sister. If you love your sister, then you also love your wife but there's something extra, beyond the normal love, that extra thing is called lust. This extra thing is attached to your flesh because your wife fulfills it.
You can find other diplomatic ways of referring to this kind of feeling but it won't change what it is, it is lust.

A face with a smile is friendly and more approachable than some ither "options" ive seen on cc pics that dont pertain to that persons identity in any way contribution to thier "false persona" talked about in the OP
You don’t find my dog pic friendly? Lol.

I guess some people prefer not to post pictures of themselves on here, for their very own reasons.

I could set a pic of Halle Berry as my avatar and pretend that it’s me. Would I still be approachable just because I have a picture of someone else on my profile? Cause that’s what your post sounds like.....

But you already know where I stand with all this 👍🏽

I speak from experience and I've had plenty. I don't trust my eyes as much as my heart any more. And I'd rather go without sex the rest of my life than have another broken heart. I'm 64 and the guilt of being divorced followed me for decades.

Exactly. Adam was physically attracted to Eve and vise versa because that's how they were and also we are created. There were no traits back then and there are not traits today either, rather, traits today is a form of consciousness, a subjective way of explaining what we are already attracted to physically.

Friend: why do you pursue that lady, she's a heavy drinker
Me: noooo, she doesn't drink too much and what do you mean by heavy drinking? she's in control most of the time plus i just love how she smiles.

See, if i'm physically attracted to someone, it doesnt matter

Both "lust" and hunger CAN be "prayed" away and God can help CONTROL OUR FLESH as we strive to be a "new creation" and br more disciplined..you dont think Jesus was tempted sexually of in hunger? Read up on fasting...we cant jump to get married just because we want to have sex..if that were the case..boys would be married at 14 yrs old...and we aresnt SUPPOSED to appease the flesh anymore if we are christians..yes God gave us the need for food and sex but tells us how we can livr within the boundaries HE set up...
