Doe it state this in scripture? If not, how did you reach such a conclusion?
That is why Paul says that the man must not cover his head. He's not talking about a hat. He's talking about another spirit. The carnal understand carnal, but Spirit understand Spirit. You don't understand Spirit.

PJ,

Looks like you are concocting your own theology.

1Cor:2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

Do you not have the Holy Spirit?
By your own definition you do not because you certainly do not understand Scripture.

I believe that we were conversing about local churches and not wearing apparel. I don't see the connection at all. The Holy Spirit has said to me that I have a good understanding on certain matters so your last statement is incorrect also.

You are the one who is carnal. That's why you think the covering on a woman's head in 1 cor is a hat.
Your still feeding on milk. The church keep you as babies in Christ. You have got to mature, and grow up. Come out from under that religious covering so that the Holy Spirit can teach you.

Please be more discerning in your replies....I never even answered that particular questio of yours re a hat....first I've heard of it.

And “Saturday is named after the Roman god Saturn associated with the Titan Cronus, father of Zeus and many Olympians.” (Wikipedia)

Then you have a problem with GOD for choosing it as HIS HOLY DAY.....as if God paid any attention to man's **** ideas and neither do I.

Ok what does these verses mean to you? 1 Corinthians 11:6-7 6For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head. 7A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.

You referenced Sunday being named after a pagan deity. All I did was reference that Saturday has the same thing.

I have no issue as to which day to worship the Lord since we worship Him every day :) now, if we are talking about what day to congregate at a local fellowship, I do that on Sunday. But if someone wants to congregate on a Saturday, that’s all right as well. :)

Please describe this religious spirit of which you speak.
2 Cor. 11: 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
There is only suppose to one body of Christ per city. All of the same body. The same body of Christ in every city. Not a bunch of local Churches which are of another spirit. A religious spirit.

Ok what does this scripture mean? 1 Corinthians 11:5-6 5But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head-it is the same as having her head shaved. 6For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, then she should cover her head

Do you expect me to reply to everything you say ? there are some posts I CHOOSE NOT to answer...is that OK ? But if you must know I believe a woman should not crop her hair like a man.....and a man should not wear his hair long like a woman. I think Paul had something to say about that too....and difficult to understand as is some of his writings. If we don't get clear instructions how can we respond correctly ?
As for wearing a hat it seems a man should take it off when in the presence of God, but a woman can keep her hat on (if she happens to wear one)'

1 Corinthians 11:3 3But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. The hair was an earthly example of a woman's Gory.
1 Corinthians 3:1-3 1And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3for you are still carnal.

That's well and good but again, we were discussing about local churches and not about women praying with their head uncovered. Personally, I really don't care if a woman prays with a hat on in church or not but really, this isn't what we were discussing at all. I asked you what evidence that you had that all local churches were under a religious spirit and not the Holy Spirit. If you chose not to answer then fine, but then again, you shouldn't make claims that you can't possibly back up with either scripture or your own personal observation and experience. This hurts your credibility.

Yes but not in the legelistic way . For sake not the assembly of yourselves together , even the MORE as the DAY of the Lord comes .

How do you propose the ONE congregation meet in a big city? We see mega church all the time, and yet, so much stuff happens because it’s just too big of a congregation.

What about small groups that these large congregation may have?

Anyone can quote scripture and point everything we are doing “wrong.” But let’s talk about solutions too.
