That is a naive and misinformed idea of what homosexuals want. They are free to do whatever they wish in their own homes, but promoting their perversions and seeking to make them legitimate is utter nonsense.

How is calling someone a homophobe for saying "I disagree with you" equal rights?
How is indoctrinating children and teaching them in schools to find their own gender identity and sexual identity equal rights? Even if its against the parents wishes, or behind their backs?
Equal rights is a cover for them pushing their agenda. God has deemed it an abomination regardless.
I've worked with a number of homisexuals. Some were enjoyable nice people, others were jerks. Just like everyone else. But that doesn't mean I have to passively or actively support their wishes. Part of a democracy is for Both Sides to have a voice. If they have a right to push their agenda then I have a right to resist it.
Funny how the "rights" and "democracy" card gets played for only one side and the other side is called hateful and ignorant for exercising those same rights. Modern liberal hypocrisy strikes again.
The question of fault or choice is a red herring. The reality is that we live in a world marred and distorted by sin, in its every molecule. The fallen state of creation manifests in millions of different ways including genetic mutations, congenital defects, hereditary diseases, mental/emotional disorders, physical anomalies, allergies, and many, many others. However, God is good. He didn't intentionally create anyone with blind eyes, borderline personality disorder, or Down's Syndrome. These things are a result of the fall, as is romantic/sexual preference for anything other than the opposite gender.
The Bible makes it adequately clear that homosexual activity is sinful, and that homosexual lust is also sinful. A person who struggles with homosexual attraction is no less able to receive God's help to resist than the person who struggles with any other "chronic" temptation. However, trying to justify the attraction or activity is tantamount to rejecting God's truth and grace.
I understand homosexuality does not fit in the Christian world view.
This country is composed of Christians of all sorts as well as non - Christians. Who gets the right to make the decisions for someone else?

Harry Hay, jr. is the grandfather of the gay rights movement who said he modeled it after the Communist Revolution. Gays are aggressive Marxist fascists who hate freedom, our Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and they hate God. Just look at the aggressive mob and protesting gays in the story of Sodom (where we get the word "sodomy"). They are the same today. BTW, serial killers are gays.
There is no such thing as gay rights, beastiality rights, pedophile rights, whore rights, or necrophilia rights. Because our rights come from God.

Some serial killers have also identified as homosexual. However, making that association as a matter of fact requires statistical support, and really doesn't add anything to this conversation.

So morality is a matter of democracy? The people may vote all sorts of heinous things, but that doesn't make them morally acceptable. It only makes them culturally acceptable.
This is a great example of why the US founding fathers did not want a democracy... because although they were not "Christians" as we today would understand the term, they at least had a clear sense of right and wrong.
The root of this issue is, who makes the rules. If God makes the rules, some things are inherently wrong. If people make the rules, there is no standard. Interestingly, those who argue for "freedom of expression" also are the first to oppress others with their own "morality".

Another unnecessary post. Arguing a position doesn't make a person a participant of that position. There is wisdom in exploring both sides of a position, if only to bolster your own. If you understand your enemy, you can fight that enemy more effectively. You don't have to be one to consider one's position.
