Again, we no longer are sinners. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Let's hope you are not believing that Hyper Grace nonsense. If Christians could not and would not sin, we would not have 1 John 1 and 2.

I am 100 %ly against hyper grace. But what is hyper grace? Correct, it means you do not have to pay attention to any moral law. But Dan Mohler in no way teaches hyper grace. He teaches that it is possible to live above sin. Do you still see yourself as a wicked vile sinner? If yes, that's a very destructive view. Did the Apostle Paul lie when he said "ye are sanctified"?

Brother Mohler teaches his viewers not even to think about sin so that they can be free from the power of it. His view on 1 John 1:8 is quite interesting, that if we say we have no sin it refers to people who think they never sinned. I believe this makes sense, because if it refers to saying that we lie if we say we have not sinned lately, how long would that time period without sin be? One hour? Five hours? Ten hours? Do we as believers still have to think about our sins? Isn't that a huge burden?

Of course, there also is a vast difference between accidental and willfull sinning. If you backslide like King David did, then it is something different. Then the Holy Spirit will convict you and lead you to repentance. However, do you want to keep thinking about accidental fails like cussing or worrying? This is the exact opposite of hyper grace. A famous hyper grace teacher would be Steven Anderson who totally condones sin.

God bless

I really really wish people would learn to read the bible properly before they spout about what it says. For example; Romans 7:18. Did the person who slung it into the fray read what came before? I think not. Instead, he used a single verst to build his entire doctrine on....and he's wrong. The Word clearly says we are free from that aspect of the law. Read it for yourself. 5 For when we were living according to our old nature, the passions connected with sins worked through the Torah in our various parts, with the result that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now we have been released from this aspect of the Torah, because we have died to that which had us in its clutches, so that we are serving in the new way provided by the Spirit and not in the old way of outwardly following the letter of the law.

I use the KJV, not the NIV.

God bless you brother
Romans 7:18 - For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. (KJV)

Romans 7:25 - I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (KJV)

Would you say you are a sinner saved by grace or a saint who still sins every here and there? God bless you

We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Saints have been saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8,9) but that does not mean that saints never sin at all (1 John 1:8-10- 2:1)

I never said that, but I believe we should see ourselves that way God sees us.

Why would you create a difference? What good could you do by such an endeavor? I would consider both to apply.

For the cause of Christ

I have my doubts, I mean we are a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). I think the reason why we still is rather because we occasionally keep looking back at the Old Adam...
You will find your answer in Gal 5v16-26...

It is called the flesh!

We are BORN with a sinful nature and even though we might be obediant and taught right from wrong by our parents and lead a "good person" life...we arent SAVED from that sinful nature until we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives and confess our sins to Him..only then does He seperate our sins as far as the east is from the rest..remembers them no more and the slate of our lives is wiped clean by His cleansing blood..

This sermon may contain less missunderstandings.
Wow is this guy ever going to lead some people astray. He teaches some of the same stuff hyper grace teachers do. Whenever you hear someone teaching about identity, run, do not walk, away. FWIW, this guy was one of Todd White's mentors.

Sure you have seen that video? He talks about accidental fails and struggle with sin, not habitual sin. God bless
Just because we are saved and strive to become more christlike doesnt mean we arent human..prone to error and sin..satan is still alive n kickin and will do ANYTHING to keep us from living in fellowship with God and satan "strikes" at our biggest weaknesses in life...
Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

Its the continuous battle between ood and evil...evil of the mind body soul etc..but God ALSO promised us that.."Greater is He that is in you..than he that is in the world..."...We just have to cry out to God when our sinful nature rears up..and He will answer and deliver us so that we are overcommers being molded by Christ to be new creatures and more fit to be in His kingdom some day. This process of growth and reshaping of our lives is NOT easy..requires a lot of sacrifices on our parts..but the outcome will be LITTERALLY out of this world :)

...the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41).

The new creation continues to live with corruption (the sin nature) (1 Corinthians 15:53) until death or the rapture of the Church. However, the younger (the new creation) is greater than the elder (the sin nature) (Genesis 25:23). Why? Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4, Romans 6). We are still dying which shows that the sin nature lives in us. If the sin nature did not live in the Christian we would not age or die.

He teaches that it is possible to live above sin.
And that is what every Christian should strive for. But at the same time it is FALSE DOCTRINE to teach that the sin nature of the believer has been eradicated, or that Christians do not need to deal with their present sins (Hyper Grace).

I actually kind of like the guy... I get his message... He wants to be Messiah "friendly"... like k-12 does not want to really tell the truth about kids and give them a bad ... what's my word.... complex... about themselves....

Listen we are a trichotomy... spirit (must be saved), soul (mind, will, emotions) and body (flesh). Yes, my spirit is saved! My soul gets renewed by the Word of G-d! My flesh is to crucified daily according to Scripture!....

To quote Rod Parsley "A dead dog does not hunt".... Heard that 20 or so years ago about a sermon on the flesh and dying to self daily....

Really the more I think about it as I right this post... The whole message is messed up... Only my ego needs to think I am "good" just my flesh is jacked... What is that but sin.... The real deal is ... My spirit is secure.... I have been sanctified.. I am being sanctified daily by Messiah... soul/flesh.... and will be fully sanctified in heaven... all the above!!! See it all rises and falls on Messiah...

I do not want to sin, mid, will and emotions or flesh because I love Him... and when that dog goes a barken, most of the time this god is dead.... But I know that I know as well as I am sitting here typing if that dog raises head or his whole body, mercy is renewed every morning and I am a new creature ALL OVER AGAIN IT WAS NOT JUST A 1 TIME THING!!!! THAT IS SALVATION IT SAVES YOU BUT KEEPS ME SAVED!!!!!!

You are correct. I don't understand either why such posts are not deleted.
