I'll change the subject since this is getting contentious. What is your avatar exactly? It is frightening
My face, but with makeup to make it a little less hideous.

Hmmm not sure if I'm buying that...unless you can age as fast as that guy that chose poorly in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

I have only seen part of that movie, so I don’t understand your reference. 😔 I’m a vampire, so this is how I look in the daytime.

Gollum is a Trans, now. He likes rings so much, he figured he should be a woman. He is in the transition period, taking hormones and wearing makeup and jewelry. He now calls himself Gallum.

Hum, well there goes a good reference. You should see the whole movie its a classic. The jist of it is the guy chose the wrong cup instead of the holy grail and aged so fast he turned into dust .

I’m not really an action movie fan. I remember the big stone chasing Indiana Jones, but that is about it.

Jameen wants to know which one of the women he should date amongst his female friends.

Apparently, he has an embarrassment of riches.

In that case he might consider choosing the woman that shows a romantic interest in him. This isn't rocket science, how hard can this be?

Maybe they all have romantic feelings for him. What a problem to have!

So your own compatriot is also an arrogant and presumptious when I read her book saying 'Friendship is the very springboard for love and thus perfect model for all kinds of intimate encounters"

If in your own sensitivity that I am becoming arrogant then why you need to act on that level too ha?

this proves that you are not Christian enough by your works and lifestyle.

A real Christian is an understanding individual and slow to anger.

Is this the effect of believing that good works is not needed but only faith in Jesus? if you are an Evangelical?
Jameen, whatever you do don't go looking for a wife in a bar. I met both my wives through mutual acquaintances. A good wife is said to be a favor from the Lord. You are Christian, keep to Christian circles and be patient. God will provide. I will pray for you too.

how do we apply both 1 Cor 7:27 "if you are single, do not intend to look for marriage" (sounds like closing doors)
and Proverbs 19:14 "the prudent wife is from the Lord" (but keep our doors open)

so passive, yet, how to put the two together, let alone apply it?

I suppose you would be able to see the light in her. You'll probably see light in many people. If one of them sticks out more than the rest...ask her to be more than friends. I hope if goes well for you. It's a hard world out there especially when it comes to romantic relationships. o_O

When interpreting 1 Cor. 7:27 be sure to read 7:25 you will see this is just Paul's ideal for the Lord's servants, and not a command of the Lord. Paul early on felt, I feel, that the Return of Christ was imminent. By the time he wrote 2 Thess. 2:3, he realized it wasn't to be.

Paul was anti-marriage and was only offering his own personal perception on this matter. Elsewhere he says that it is better to be marred rather than to burn with passion. If you want to remain singe and all alone for the rest of your life, then by all means follow his advice. You may need to get that burning with passion part under control though if that is an issue.

It really doesn't have to be all that hard but there are those that have a fear of rejection or commitment and make things more complicated than they really are. The fact is, while it is wise to pray to God for Him to search and find a spouse of your heart's desire He is not going to simply drop a prospective spouse in your lap. This requires action and you must be ready to act when this opportunity should happen to arise.

of course you need to introduce yourself to a girl, make friends with her, cheer her up, help her and date her in order to be her lover and later marry her.

It also does not mean God will provide is what you gonna do is to sleep and when you're awake then a bundle of cash will suddenly appear to you.

it is really trial and error. it takes time to know a man's character.

like the Chinese are saying "The distance tests the horse's strength so time reveals a person's character"

The golden rule in finding a good partner is make sure that he is not lazy, not an angry/furious man and lover of Biblical teachings.

So, you’re looking for a man, now?
