I need some advice..

OK, so the other day I put a brand new pair of sneakers outside for free for someone to take. Denise brought them inside her house and tried to sell them, which really ticks me off because I intended for them to be left out free so someone could have a FREE pair of shoes. Anyhoo, her yard sale stuff is out in our hallway and I saw my sneakers so I pulled them out and brought them in here. I intend on taking them to the soup kitchen and put them on the free table there. She has a price list on all her stuff and wants $30 for them.

Bear in mind that Denise is very money-greedy and I am not. She NEVER puts anything out free, and I'm ALWAYS putting stuff out free. Problem is SHE grabs it all for herself. She's a hoarder, that's why.

ANYHOO my dilemma is this: I want my shoes to be free to someone, and not sold. Since they ARE technically still mine, is it right for me to do what I said I want to do and put them out free? On the other hand I don't want her thinking that I went through her stuff, which I didn't, because my shoes were on top..

So do I keep the shoes and put them on the free table, or put them back in her stuff and let her either sell them or ask her if it's okay if I put them back out free?

Either way she won't be happy but she KNEW I wanted them left out free for someone (NOT HER) to take. She wants $30 for them and I paid only like $20 when I first bought them.. lol
Quick answer; if they’re yours, then you’re FREE to do whatever you want with them, including giving them away at no price. Just tell Denise wassup lol she basically has no biznus in what you do wit dem LOL.

BTW, bless your heart for wanting to give them away for free :)

True, lol.. But like I said I don't want her to think I went through her stuff. But either way, she won't be happy. It will probably tick her off more if I just take 'em without telling her. I think what I'll do is put them back until she gets home (she's at work now) and knock on her door and tell her I'm putting them on the free table..

She's very money motivated. If something's out free and she thinks she can make a buck on it, she grabs it and brings it home. Which I don't care unless it's MY stuff that she grabbed and tries to sell.. lol

What bothers me is she did it so sneakily. She knew I wanted them out free, and she waited until I came in, then grabbed them and brought them in. Her mistake was putting them in the container with her other stuff and putting it in the hallway where I could see it.. lol

Yea, if I was you I’d tell Denise straight up lol sorry but I’d be annoyed if someone did that to my things, I don’t mind if they ask me or ask for it but if they did it “sneakily” behind my back then there’s something that’s not quite right about dat lol..... do what you need to do as long as Denise understands who owns the shoes & what you want to do with dem 👌🏽😜

Technically ole Chris discovered the Caribbean Islands (thinking they were the East Indies). Amerigo Vespucci (from where the American continents derive their names) was the man to actually land in South America several years later. Of course everyone forgets that the Viking Leif Eriksson landed in what we now call Canada 500 years prior to Chris' birth.

I agree with Mel. She tried to sell them without your permission. You did not leave them out there so someone could sell them and she knows it.

So should I just take 'em to the free table at lunch and not even mention it to her? Or wait until she comes home and just tell her that's what I'm gonna do? I don't want to play it sneaky like she did.. lol

Either way she ain't gonna like it.

Anyone else up for tea & bikkies?? Lol View attachment 184132
I'm not sure about the tea but I'll take some of those bikkie things. Wait, what kinda tea we talkin' 'bout? Perhaps I will have a cup with a dash of honey and a lemon wedge. What's your take on brownies?
