Oh me, oh mine.... do I really have to declare my Christian faith here, and rebuke the lesser gods of the past.

Norway became a Christian Nation in 1030. Praise God for that. And for the reformation in 1536. And for the layman's movement in the beginning of the 19th century, the constitution of 1814 and the revivals during the last century.

Sadly some believe in Thor and the Norse mythology still. It has actually become more popular recently. And it is important for me to show a distance to such a nationalistic folly of a religion. So I have to say thanks, but firmly no thanks. I prefer Mr. Darcy!

Toinena and Thor. The Thor of legend, not the Marvel husk.

Lynx and Anne of Green Gables. (fictional characters are allowed, too, although we can question how fictional Mr. Darcy is)

Paganism/the occult is becoming more common throughout the industrialized world. People are not natural atheists no matter what they say. It's interesting how internationalist atheism opened a vacuum for national/culturally-specific "gods."

We are made to worship.

That said, Thor is more rich and powerful than Darcy. You're missing out.
