26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after) orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
When I was younger I had given my whole life to God, I had nothing more to give I thought, then God showed me more I needed to relinquish to Him. Finally I got it; then again I got it. The time frame to "I got it" was an entire life, but now I am all in! All in without compromise or dilution of Him! Nothing to hide, and nothing to hold me back. I so have compassion, but it is not my own alone, it was first His and now it is mine. Compassion for people means loving them is more important to me than being right in front of them; more important than my comfort.
It means I do things that cost me....and cost me dearly even. I do things based on this; His compassion, that rearranges my days and nights and makes His will my priority and not simply His blessings. I love whom I am all in with - that being Jesus and God Himself! It pleases my soul & Spirit/spirit to announce that!
