The sin nature was inherited by humanity from Adam. The tendency to sin was within Adam and Eve as shown in the Fall. We really cannot go much beyond that. Rationally and logically, they had absolutely no compelling reason to disobey God. The Garden of Eden was literally a Paradise and they lacked absolutely nothing.

Well...I think according to the thoughts that their bodies worked exactly like ours means they lacked a lot...they lacked freedom from pain, for one. And this is with the understanding that I think: pain -bad, cut my foot and bleed-bad, have a headache - bad. Okay, I'll drop it now. It's too new of a thought to really discuss yet.

What about animals? God created various kinds of animals, were they also without any pain? A bird flying again and again with his head to the tree, because it feels no pain?

It would be bad. Good creation needs some mechanism for creatures to be kept alive and preserved.

I thin k we put to much emphasis on this life. The life we know was not intended. All things work to the good. GOD has a plan and that plan is to restore us back into HIS loving arms permanently when all things will be new and of GOD and not of our own making.

Basically seven thousand years HIS plan has been in the making. I can not wait until the culmination when this system of things will be gone and we are finally back home.

Similar to Nehemiah6: what is the difference?

How exactly it was not a reality for them, when they sinned ?

Oh...okay, I see! You guys are having open discussion to see where it leads - not necessarily saying your thoughts are unchangeable. A think tank type thing where you throw your thoughts out. I can get with that. :)

You are correct but the whole scope of the paragraph has to to with asking permission -

I literally did not get that that was the scope you saw and intended! My mind did not follow the leaps yours did, without it being explained, that the child in the example asked permission to touch the hot stove. The whole asking permission thing to my understanding was to do with satan asking permission to do harm, not the child asking to do harm to herself...I'm a little lost at this point about it. No biggie though. :)

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."

Do birds have to slam into trees and feel pain a few times before they learn to fly around them...? They are a little shaky on first flight but...I've never seen them slam into trees. Have seen them slam into windows but that's because they can't tell they're there.

Because they learnt by feeling pain. Imagine that pain does not exist.

I'm not sure about that...I rather think that it isn't pain of crashing that teaches birds trees cannot be flown through and are solid...they do sort of have a controlled crash to the ground the first time they leave the nest sometimes. But then they fly upwards and perch on a tree without having to learn that they can't fly through it and that it is solid.

God is in control, He has been the whole time He just has been permissive of the devil an his works because of Gods own word. Then since the cross the devil lost a majority of his power.

people also need to realize there is a difference between evil and calamity and chaos, a hurricane or earthquake is not punishment for sin its the result of living in a fallen world.

OK, so imagine children and fire, then.

Imagine long staying in one position, so unhealthy for human body.

Imagine stratching just with a pleasant feelings instead of the pain after the long time.

Imagine that hot boiling water will not give you a pain.

Etc.

Bird crashing its head into tree was just an example that without pain, behaviour of creatures would be careless and bringing harm.

Sometimes an earthquake might just be because the earth is wearing out like an old garment, with it's (tectonic) seams unraveling. But sometimes God causes one on purpose so the ground will open up and swallow men, as in the bible account.

pain is the CIL of the body, pretty mush every person in the medical field will say that.

did God cause it or let it happen?

Better examples. :)

Believe me when I tell you, young man, you don't fully understand that pain will be chronic - every minute of the day - in about 20 more years! :D:p:mad:

But you have it to look forward to! Are you excited? :D

As with the ground opening up and swallowing the men in the bible story about Korah? I think God caused it and timed it to the minute. :)

or could because of their actions their blessing was revoked, leaving them open to the devils works? or did God know there was going to be an earthquake right there, right then?

I get that. But...I still think pain is not going to be in our perfect state and was not experienced until after the fall. I could be wrong though.

i agree we won't have pain. there will be no need for it. the resurrected body will be crazy intense. like superman lol
