"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it"

Is it possible to love without being wounded? I ponder this, now, and it brings to mind my favorite of the 'poems' penned by Kahlil Gibran in his widely acclaimed work, "The Prophet."
Jesus shows us the true meaning of love He suffered and died for us,
that we may be reconciled to God, and attain to life ever after
I don't really have much to share with you other than a desire for holiness and love; well meaning everyone feels whole in Christ and perhaps physical healing as well.
Hello Peter, welcome to our home thread. We all want more holiness and we believe we do that by loving each other. We were made in the image of God. I understand that to mean more like His character than actual countenance. God is love and we are capable of this agape type love also.
We often need encouragement to grow in Christ. I believe that is why God doesn't pump us full of faith and be done with it. No, instead, He plants a seed of faith and lets it grow. God's way of life is called the love/give way. The way of the world we live in goes the way of greed/take like our adversary, the devil.
We all would like physical healing in all aspects of our lives and God is able to do that. Sometimes God leaves us with our infirmities for our spiritual gain and sometimes to show others we have no unfair advantage over the rest of the world.
Ecc. 9:11 "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."
So like Paul, we glorify God in whatever state we find ourselves. Join us in lifting the name Of Jesus.
