I am glad that Ramona was with both Purple and Quimby when they each passed. That gives me some comfort.. :) But seriously, Shelly needs to widen the wedge because Ramona and Chloe love to snuggle and there isn't enough room for them and the kittens when they do...

I know it's sad to hear - (((HUGS))) dear one

I know! Ramona is only 18 months old, pretty much still a kitten herself. Ramona's awesome, I love her..:) And Chloe is 5, yet acts like a kitten herself..lol

Ramona is such a trooper, and been so helpful to Chloe throughout her birthing process and nursing etc. Crazy to think how many times they may have already gone through all this, eh?

I'm in awe of Shelly. I could NEVER do what she does to help all those cats and kittens.. I'd be an emotional wreck each time one died or got adopted out..

You would find suitable homes for them and that would no doubt make you very happy, sweet one. Sweet orange kitty with a lovely soft heart...

Good day to you, HUFL :) I hope/trust you are well! Yes, it was sad, but because of the work rescue and shelter organizations do, the death rate and suffering is greatly reduced and in some cases completely eliminated :) My daughter volunteered for three years at a cat shelter that housed around eight hundred (800 ) cats before she got her job as a vet assistant with no formal training... so animal shelters and rescue organizations help humans, too :):):):D
Wow! Praise the Lord what an awesome testimony! I hear that's a difficult industry to gain entry into - God had her in the right place and the right time eh? As He does in His wisdom and unfailing love for us! Lol. I just love Him so! :)

Watching this channel, only strengthens my resolve to never get another cat. It hurts too much when they die. :( And as one of the chatters said, watching Quimby die, only brought back the hurt of losing her own furbaby. Just as it did with me, over losing Tequila. It's 2 years later and I STILL haven't properly grieved over her yet. :(

If little Tootsie dies, I'm gonna stop watching this channel. I just can't handle it.. I was so hoping no more kittens would die.
Blue, I do not think we ever forget those we loved who are gone from our lives, for whatever reason. I would rather celebrate the love. It is what gives our lives meaning. But I certainly understand the grief. It took me many years to sop grieving the loss of one of my own kitties who fell to her death in 1998. I had her sister for another fifteen years, and had to put her down four years ago. That was when my daughter suddenly decided a few months later, that I had lived alone long enough, and bought Luna for me. I have also lost children in utero. Two first trimester miscarriages and a still birth that happened less than two weeks before the "I do"s really messed me up. That type of pain may get submerged under other things, but it never completely goes away, and is stirred up at times to remind me of where I have been, and what I have gone through, and survived, in life.

Ok, I'm off to see the Wizard - the wonderful Wizard of Oz - Ok, I am actually off to see the Boss - the so-so Boss whom I work hard for because I work hard to lift Him up despite him not being much of a Wizard. For to work hard for him, and to lift him up - is to work hard for my Lord Himself, as it is - I am thinking of my Lord when I work for him - thank God.....off to work folks!! Enjoy your sanity - I may envy it in a second ...NO -NO ENVY IN THESE HERE PARTS! PILGRIM! Chow4Now!
I believe as you do in that the Lord watches closely to see how well you do your job for your employer. The true judge of character at work is how conscientious a person is when no one is watching. I consider the Lord to be my boss and try to do my best each day at work. I'm sure that you do the same.

Yes, it is a difficult field to gain entry to, especially with no training! So I am convinced that her volunteer work was the deciding factor. And, she has physical ailments, that limit what she can do, and cause her severely painful and debilitating problems. When she told me of her very first day of work, later that same day, I thought, oh my goodness, how in the world is she going to be able to do this? And I was afraid for her, thinking how disappointed she would be if she couldn't do it, because in truth it was what she always really wanted to do, and well past her mid twenties, it was her first job. She has stuck it out for four years now!!! Amen, praise the LORD :)

I asked this question when Purple died, but didn't get a good answer. Is Rainbow Bridge real, or just a feel-good myth to make grieving owners feel better???

Blue, animals have the same breath of life that we do. A careful reading of Scriptures definitely reveals that there will be animals in the world to come, and why wouldn't there be? God created them, and saw that they were good. They, along with the rest of creation, fell due to the sin of Adam, and along with the rest of creation, will be set free from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

I actually crossed the Rainbow Bridge. It is a bridge over the Niagara river below Niagara Falls that connects New York and Ontario. There's usually a rainbow there.

Yeah, ketchup is always a bit of a challenge. I missed 3 days once and had to go through over 500 posts. It was a pleasure reading them though. This thread is very much like a live chat room but better as the peeps actually care about one another. :)
