Yeah, we talk to ourselves and among ourselves.

As far as rain is concerned, I am looking forward to the summer thunderstorms that come almost every afternoon. Where I live in Florida it's considered the lightning capital of the world. The thing is, it was when I was living in Michigan that I got struck by lightning, or at least I think I did. I was out walking in the rain one night when all of a sudden I was surrounded by this brilliant white light and it sounded like a dynamite blast. Thought for sure I was dead and now I was seeing the white light leading the way into heaven. Guess I decided to go the other way. The white light was gone and I was soaking wet. Still like lightning though but I make it a point not to take walks during thunderstorms.

In Florida I was staying with my brother for awhile sitting at this little table under a tree. A thunderstorm was approaching. My mom came outside and told me that I was going to get hit by lightning if I stayed outdoors. I said, "OK".

I had just got back home to Florida from Maine in March 2014 where my late wife had just died, I lost everything I owned including my two dogs, and my car had broken down. When she died I resigned my position with my employer and came home on a bus the day after the funeral service with just my clothes stuffed in a duffle bag. I said "OK" probably because I didn't give a crap anymore. No lightning that day. God spared me again for reasons unknown.

:) Sounds like you're shielded !! Does lightening make a sound? Or was it the thunder I wonder...
Wow, i don't know if I'd be a bit disappointed after thinking I was going up in the glory to Heaven and then realise I'm just drenched and back in the world.. Hmm. Can't decide. Cos I wanna do more yet before I go!!

Yeah, the golfers I worked for told me not to stand under trees in a thunderstorm!! Worst place to be!!! -- even though it seems a good idea to get shielded from a downpour... It's good you had the best shield in those incidences :) even if you only had a duffle bag, sounds like you had a lot more in the bigger picture... And that's what truly matters. Thanks for sharing your story:) P.S. I'm sorry about your wife, and your dogs. I love dogs. Grew up as a child with an awesome lab.

I'll be going to bed soon also. I had to get up very early for work this morning and had a hard day. Fortunately, I have the next 3 days off. Think I'll sleep in tomorrow. Probably not. :)

Absolutely Fantabulous! But I'm prejudice toward God so my weather is cold and rainy but who cares - I am a Child of God! LOL. It is a privilege to get to know you as well. Welcome to a great group of people here. I have grown to love them all - but then again I do have my prejudices in Christ to love them no matter what so...LOL.

My part of the Globe, by the way, is America - in the Northwest sector in a State called Oregon. Do people actually say sector? Hmmm, well apparently they do now. :rolleyes:LOL ...Anyway Welcome in! We would love to call you one of the regulars...

I felt my spirit check me here...So I re-wrote my original wording to read what doesn't burden my spirit in terminology. Thx for accepting the changes.

I do that too, but for me it's sometimes too late to edit and then alas and DUH - the damage has already been done BUT PRAISE GOD FOR PM'S LOL! And those little reps too - you can apologise on those too Amen!! Lol
