1 Kings 18:18-21,

"18:18, "And he answered, “I have not disturbed Yisra’ĕl, but you and your father’s house, in that you have forsaken the commands of יהוה, and you have followed the Ba‛als.

"18:19, "“And now, send and gather all Yisra’ĕl to me on Mount Karmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets of Ba‛al, and the four hundred prophets of Ashĕrah, who eat at Izeḇel’s table.”

18:20, "Aḥaḇ then sent for all the children of Yisra’ĕl, and gathered the prophets on Mount Karmel."

18:21, "And Ěliyahu came to all the people, and said, “How long would you keep hopping between two opinions? If יהוה is Elohim, follow Him; and if Ba‛al, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word."

Jeremiah 23:26-27, "How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Yes, they are prophets of the deceit of their own minds plan and scheme, to cause My people to forget My Name through their dreams, which they tell every man to his neighbor, just as their fathers have forgotten My Name for Baal."
For once, I will give you a like. :)

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]2 Kings 10:25-28, “And it came to be, when he had finished making the ascending offering, Yĕhu said to the guard and to the officers, “Go in, strike them, let no one come out!” And they struck them with the edge of the sword, and the guards and the officers threw them out, and went into the inner room of the house of Ba‛al,"and brought out the pillars of the house of Ba‛al and burned them, and broke down the statue of Ba‛al, and broke down the house of Ba‛al and made it a latrine to this day. Thus Yĕhu destroyed Ba‛al out of Yisra’yl.”

2 Kings 10:29-31, "However, Yĕhu did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ‛am son of Neḇat, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin, from the golden calves that were at Bĕyth Ěl and Dan. And יהוה said to Yĕhu, “Because you have done well by doing what is right in My eyes, and have done to the house of Aḥaḇ all that was in My heart, your sons are going to sit on the throne of Yisra’ĕl to the fourth generation.”"10:31, "But Yĕhu did not guard to walk in the Torah of יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl with all his heart. For he did not turn away from the sins of Yaroḇ‛am, who had made Yisra’ĕl sin."

I have been turning this over in my mind. Clearly they were living lives of debauchery they were far from God, worshipping Baal, the idols had their prophets, and the LORD may well have been the Lord of Baal?

The upshot is, they shouldn't have been there in the first place, Moses should have stamped it out immediately, and he should not have broken the 6th commandment. These are a people far from the true God who must have been deeply saddened. No, I don't believe any of this was down to Yahweh. It is what I was saying last night, it was truly the work of the imposter. Who won a double victory by getting people to believe it was the true God who gets the blame instead of the blame being placed squarely on Satan.
so not all of the ot inspired in your view

the nt? all of it inspired?

anything outside of the 66 books inspired?

I believe in the inerrancy of the Bible. The New Testament is a first-hand contemporary account and the inclusion of both good and bad deeds in the Old Testament is evidence of a truthful and honest account. On reflection I would like to withdraw any comments I may have said to the contrary.

the 10c aren't part of the 613?

is it basically that God ended every law on the ot, except the 10c?
Basically GOD spoke the 10 personally to the people and added NO more Deut 5v22 ....
why not also add all the other 600/or so if they all go together ??????
the 10 teach us love to God and neighbour, why should they be abolished ?????

Love God and love your neighbor are not in the 10 Commandments, for the umpteenth time. They are in Deuteronomy 6 and Leviticus 19. If Leviticus was unnecessary Leviticus would not exist. It does exist - should you question His wisdom in giving it?

Jesus destroyed the wisdom of the wise when He explained that all of the Law hangs on two commandments that are not part of the 10 - and then destroyed the boasting of all who thought themselves made righteous by their obedience by giving two commands, believe in the Son, and love as the Son has loved you.

I agree with what you said here except you left out one key fact. Without mentioningthis it turns the whole thing upside down and you get the lost sheep of most churches today....

ALL of those Yahshua scolded made their OWN LAW.

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Mat 15:3-9, “But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of YHWH because of your tradition? For YHWH has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated, is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of YHWH by your tradition."Hypocrites! Well did Isayah (29:13-14*) prophesy of you, saying: These people draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me. But in vain they do worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

If we fail to realize this we can, as many do paint the Commands as somehow faulty. No they made their own law their own religion and would destroy those who would not play religion their own way.

Yahshua taught us to do the will of the Father, which He perfectly did and taught.

Re: Hebrews chapter 4

I answered you, here is a copy and paste of my reply. Do you not understand what it means to have a NEW High Priest with NEW Commandments that are for ALL time?
Whenever a single version is posted I get suspicious. Here is that verse and the one following it using one of my favorite modern translations.

Luke 16 AMPC (Amplified Classic)

16 Until John came, there were the Law and the Prophets; since then the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone strives violently to go in [would force his own way rather than God’s way into it].
17 Yet it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to fail and become void.

Oops. What were you saying again??

The Law still exists, but we are dead to it. And now we are alive to HIS righteousness. And further, we are Gentiles, not given the Law nor the Sabbath, it was a sign between the Nation of Israel and God in the OLD Covenant. In Christ, we receive the promise through Abraham not through Moses. Moses died before entering the promise land because the Law isn’t allowed in.

I enjoy reading this story. The result of the contest is an awesome view of the power of God. Here is a link to the chapter containing this story in AMPC version.

The reason Moses wasn't allowed in was because Moses disobeyed twice what he was commanded to do. God showed him as a prophet in spite of his not doing as commanded. He paid the penalty by not being allowed into the promised land.

Slaves are under law, but sons are free. Consider Jesus is the first-born. Born into what? And more importantly born out of what? We are a new creation. We are now free to love one another. And loving one another is the whole of the Law. Yes, this is how we establish the Law. The Pharisees kept the Sabbath, but still desperately needed Christ. Why?

Why does Scripture teach no one can keep the Law, but many seek to put themselves and others under the Law? Even Paul said we were unable to keep it, yet you can?

I have answered this before, please pay attention. The law is for all time and now we are under the law of grace, offered us by our new High Priest, the Messiah.

In your post you didn't clarify that. As Dennis Prager says he prefers clarity over agreement.

For clarification.
We all are under the law.
Sin is transgression of the law.
We all sin.
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life.
We obtain that gift by accepting Jesus as our savior.

For those who fail to understand what the law is here are two links relating to it. The list points to verses of the law in the Torah. Reading the list it becomes clear we will fail.
