The only way we can truly know about God is via the scriptures. Natural revelation tells ppl there's a 'god', but that, in and of itself, does not tell them about God. Many who never read the scriptures, who never had a missionary witness to them, know there is a 'god', and attribute a statue, drawing, tree or something to being their 'god'.
But the only way ppl can know the God of the bible, is through the bible.
Synods, confessions, church councils, et al, are not our final authority. They may be chocked full of biblical truth, verses aplenty, but they do not replace the scriptures.
You are still forgetting that there is also a Church (I can tell you about Christ even if you do not have any Bible) and the Holy Spirit (he can give you a revelation, a dream or He can just transform you to be Christ-like by experience).

Also, there is nothing like "biblical truth". There is just truth.
But the church is founded upon the scriptures. Dreams? Eeeeh...I am not sure about that, Brother. Too many ppl use these 'dreams' and say God gave them something in a dream. I am uber leery of these 'experiences'.
When ppl hear, or in this case read, me when I say biblical truth, they know what I mean.
That is true to some measure, but God insisted that every word he spoke be written down., because man cannot retain such knowledge on their own. When he told Moses to write., it was for that reason, and all the prophets from Genesis to Revelations. There is a reason for writting.

Church is based upon Christ. Church wrote Scriptures by the providence of the Holy Spirit. Its a tool for the Church. Its is not the foundation of the Church.
In EVERY case, it is a case of "follow me as I follow the Bible" and "follow me not as I don't follow the Bible".

When the Christ met two ppl on the Emmaus road, when He taught them about all things concerning Himself, He used solely the scriptures to teach them.
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.[2 Timothy 3:14-17]
Paul is instructing Timothy here to not stray from the word of God. Because, they are what makes a man wise concerning salvation, makes him equipped for every good work, how to teach, &c.

Jesus told the people, have you not read the scriptures that speak of me? He also said search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life, and the scriptures testify of me.
But how do we know how to come together as a church w/o the scriptures? What I meant when I said the church is founded upon the scriptures, is that w/o the scriptures, we do not know how to have a church to begin with.

Every church is not his church. Jesus knows the true church, and everyone that is of the true church is of one accord without division.
I do not understand what you mean by "how to have a church".
Church began after the resurrection of Christ. It continues from that time. All elected are His church.
The fact that something is "enough" does not imply that it is all there is.
You simply cannot lock undending eternal God into one book. Whole the universe with billions of stars and planets cannot contain Him.
