Yeah, it was an April Fool's joke but stuff like that happens everyday there. There are a few misguided pious holy-than-thou members that seem to take pleasure out of belittling others that don't share their myopic view of scripture. In my 4 years as a member I have really yet to learn anything relevant that can improve my spiritual walk with the Lord. Usually just a lot of cut & paste of reams of scripture verses that have no relevance to the point that they are trying to cram down peoples throats. Mostly just a lot of useless clutter is presented there with a few rare exceptions.

Hellooooooooooooooooo :D

It's currently Sunday 3:44 PM here in Florida. Looks like you are 15 hrs ahead. You have an advantage because you already know what's going to happen because you are in the future.

Amen!

I am beginning to believe that some one/people prayed for my being here.

It took God for me to be here and to meet wonderful people ...
I am becoming addicted here, any help please?
It was real when I said I have prayed for you - even before meeting you! As, I trust, many here have as well.

If it were not God's will you may have an addiction, but you are here as it is God's will, thus it is a proper relationship with mankind based on a proper relationship with God. I know you were splashing a bit of irony there, as a lighthearted inclusion, but to be sure - we need you as you need us - And all under the heading of Jesus Christ as He leads us therein! We all need to have a thirst for kindness and reality that is found in Christ.

"…till we all come…to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ…" - (Ephesians 4:13)

The reconciliation of the human race according to His plan means realizing Him not only in our lives individually, but also in our lives collectively. Jesus Christ sent apostles and teachers for this very purpose - that the corporate Person of Christ and His church, made up of many members, might be brought into being and made known. We are not here to develop a spiritual life of our own, (there are no Narcissist Christians who are in God's will) or to enjoy a quiet spiritual retreat. We are here to have the full realization of Jesus Christ, for the purpose of building His body.

Am I building up the body of Christ, or am I only concerned about my own personal development? The essential thing is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ - “…that I may know Him…” (Philippians 3:10). To fulfill God’s perfect design for me requires my total surrender - complete abandonment of myself to Him. Whenever I only want things for myself, the relationship is distorted. But this is not where I see you are at as stated in the addiction irony. And I will suffer great humiliation once I come to acknowledge and understand that I have not really been concerned about realizing Jesus Christ Himself, but only concerned with knowing what He has done for me.

My goal is God Himself, not Joy nor Peace, Nor even Blessing, but Himself, my God. Am I measuring my life by this standard or by something less?

Today as I think that God became a human being, was born into a human body becomes humbling and awe-inspiring. That little infant body grew and increased in strength and stature. Jesus in that body ministered, healed the sick, taught the eternal truths of Almighty God, and fed the hungry. In that body, Jesus was brutally nailed to the Cross, where in that body, He died.

But that body was raised after three days, victorious and triumphant over death!! After forty days that resurrected body ascended to the heavenly Father. And now the Church has become that Body. The Spirit that unites us, and the Spirit which creates your thirst for Him and us alike, as His Body of Believers, is the Spirit of Christ - Alive and present in His Body, the Church; The Body of Christ. This is not an addiction, but it is rather a properly aligned relationship with God, which translates to each one of us to each other. We need each other in Christ!

Whatever is pure (etc) think on these things ... it is the love and reality of His Word that is shared here that draws you to this thread. Thus, let us Thank The Lord for it. We are a reflection of Him if we let Him rule.

Hey, I just got out of Church - what can I say? :p. LOL

I went to my favorite grocery store this morning but they were closed for Easter so I had to go to my local super Walmart. That place is open 24/7/365. Actually, they do close for Christmas but that was due to employee complaints having to work even on that day. I worked for them a couple years ago briefly and they treat the employee's bad. Not a good place to work. Bought a couple things for breakfast. Not too busy there for a Sunday but it was still early. Home now and my wife will be getting up in a few minutes. I will help her with preparing breakfast by chopping up onions and potatoes. I try to be useful in the kitchen.
Now that is a man building his marriage on Granite viz., Christ & chopping onions and spuds.

Not sure if he has granite benchtops but he is extraordinarily helpful around the house, and especially in the kitchen! :D

No granite counter tops, looks like Formica. It was newly installed a couple years ago and looks very nice. I did use a cutting board though for the chopping and dicing.

"... with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the LORD. 22And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit." Hence, the strongest foundation I could think of at the time of the post was Granite - but Titanium maybe!.
