No, I don't.

To the contrary to eat or drink Jesus....... is to come to Him in faith.
It's about faith in Christ, not vain rituals and works that can never save.
Man can not procure salvation through vain works nor manufacture God's grace.

John 6:35
Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst.

John 6:47-48
Truly, truly, I tell you, he who believes has eternal life. 48I am the bread of life.
Isn't that a rather odd way for Jesus to convince people to come unto him, but telling them they must eat of his flesh and drink of his blood in order to have eternal life through him?

Why would he not just say, "come unto me and believe in me, and I will give you eternal life", oh, he did say that. So why the hard saying of eat my flesh and drink my blood? It must be something deeper than "come unto me"?

Do you think the partaking of the Lords Supper (communion or sacrament) is a vain ritual?

If your coworker wants to email me I can PM you my email address otherwise tell him I will pray for him. If he has not already filed for compensation through the VA he should do so now. I get an automatic deposit into my bank account each month for $3,600 dollars, for having made contact with Agent Orange in Vietnam. If he has a spouse she will receive survivor benefits as well, God bless!

I'll repeat the question;

Is it TRUSTING IN JESUS to consider Him as FALSE for teaching that “IF YOU WANT TO ENTER LIFE, OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS (matthew 19:17) and “IF YOU LOVE ME YOU WILL OBEY WHAT I COMMAND.(john 14:15)

….That Jesus is FALSE for being the author of eternal salvation for all who obey Him.( hebrews 5:7-10)?

Is it trusting in Jesus whenever you reject the Word of God (john 1:1-3 & 14, revelations 19:13, hebrews 4::12-13, 2timothy 3:15-17) His teachings, instructions and commands that does not agree with your manmade doctrine?
<><.t.><>

You know, I do not expect to win you over, by repeating what I already told you. You are the one in a MANMADE doctrine, and do not know it. I do it ONLY to because for those who read my posts, especially for those who are Babes in Christ, so that YOU do not lead them astray.

The Verses you quoted, are NOT Salvation verses, they are WHAT WE DO AFTER WE ARE SAVED. In particular, IT IS PART OF GOD's LOVE THAT HE PUT INTO OUR HEARTS, ROM. 5:5, as the Holy Spirit enables us to Repent, and Receive Jesus Christ as LORD, meaning MASTER. That all happens the MOMENT we are SAVED, Past Tense, when we first believed. IF THAT HAPPENED FOR REAL, then the Holy Spirit brought OUR human spirits to be born ETERNALLY, give us a New Spiritual Nature. When we are Born Again, we will Notice that new nature IN US, that wants to please GOD. One of the characteristics of that new nature is IT WILL WANT TO FEED on GOD's WORD. The New Nature only matures as it feeds on the Word, and the Will of the Human Spirit will eventually become DOMINATE over the Will of the FLESH. No we are not Sinless, because of SIN NATURE in our Flesh, but we will see it SINS LESS, AND LESS, AND LESS, and will become PERFECT in our Resurrection, or the Calling Out of the Bride, which may comes first.

SO NO, the verses you quoted are NOT PART OF SALVATION, BUT Certainly ARE PART OF HOW GOD'S LOVE MANIFESTS ITSELF, FLOWING OUT OF US in our LOVE for GOD, and how we LOVE others, AFTER WE ARE SAVED.

"Mark 7:6-13 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men.” And he said to them: “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’ But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban’ (that is, a gift devoted to God), then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”

John 7:17-18 If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him."

Yes, and honoring Jesus with our lips and not our hearts is exactly what we do when we try and "keep" ourselves saved by trying to perfectly follow the law. Our hearts are near Him when we trust that He did what He said He did and trust only in Jesus for salvation when we are first saved, once we are saved and forevermore.
So when I say that I believe Jesus, and will obey Jesus when he says that we must forgive all men their trespasses against me or the Father will not forgive our trespasses against him, is that lip service, or is that a hypocritical, vain work, unnecessary to perfom, or is it a willful desire to do a good work of obedience to the words of Jesus?

So to eat of Jesus's flesh and to drink of Jesus's blood is to simply come to him and believe in him? Well if that is what it means, then we have all come to him and believe in him, long ago.
Belief in him is not just saying he exists, and he is this or that, it goes much deeper than this, This was Jesus point.

So do you think the eating of the Lords Supper (Communion or Sacrament) is another unnecessary work and has no part in our salvation?

Doing communion or a sacrament of the eucharist will not wipe away one sin and bring you that much closer to heaven.

Communion is a part of sanctification, but has nothing to do with justification (salvation)

Stiring the candlestick out of it's place is indicative of losing authority as a church...and has nothing to do with salvation, neither does being spewed out of one's mouth!
So in the critical verse 5, you think this has nothing to do with salvation?

Jesus says these things about this church in verse 5:
1) they are fallen. That does not sound good for one seeking salvation.
2) repent and come back to the first works. This is hopeful, that if they repent, they will be saved. But if they are saved already, why must one repent?
3) but if you do not repent, I will remove your candlestick (not just stir, but remove) from out of his place. (IOW the church, which are the people, will be no more).
4) another plea to repent. Please, if you do not repent, you will remain fallen and you will be lost.

I guess the people of Ephesus decided to remain fallen, becuase that church is no more. I have been to the ruins of Ephesus and as spactacular as they are, it is the ruins of a fallen people of Christ.

What do you think Jesus meant when he says he will spew the church of the Laodiceans out of his mouth? I have always thought that he was saying, if the Laodicians did not repent, they would not be in him and he in them and so he made a very dramatic statement that he would spew (vomit) then out, IOW, again, they would be lost.

And remember these were the 7 churches of Revelations and Jesus was speaking to people who believed in him and trusted in him and loved him and were saved.

Would you explain to me what it means that communion is a part of sanctification. I'm not sure how that is. It is a real question, not trolling. Thank you.

Justification is the term which means you are found innocent or justified (the Greek word is also translated righteous) and it is the reason you are made alive in Christ, Communion is not a part of justification, because it can not cause us to be seen innocent of wrong doing (it does not make redemption for our sins)

I thought you were saying that you will keep trusting Jesus but it seems like you are willing to reject Jesus teachings just to hold to your PRIDE....SUCH A SHAME AND ONLY PROVES HOW DECEITFUL YOU ARE.

Your group claims that your works and obedience are the results of your salvation,Do you now obey what Jesus taught in matthew 19:16-26? Or you would avoid, twist, misinterpret it or more likely resort to personal attacks, mockings and insults to divert the issue.

Since you really want me to leave this thread then do me a favor….BE HONEST!

dcontroversal

Think what you want worker for...we will see who gets entrance and who does not...you keep trusting yourself and your works....I will keep trusting Jesus and pointing to him, his promises and power....

If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” “Which ones?” the man inquired. Jesus replied, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Amen, he was speaking about local churches, not induvidual people. He was talking about removing his power from that church so they lose their witness as people who are empowered by God and can actyually as a church produce fruit. He is telling the church to straighten up The church was in error. Not induvidual people within the church, it was basically a slam on the leaders. And the people who allowed those leaders to continue to do what they were doing.
Amazing how many workers for and Pharisees/lawyers like to use those verses as "go to" verses about losing salvation when they have nothing to do with salvation!

I have come to realize that if you see any good in me, it's because God has placed it there.

Left to my own devices, I am actually kind of mean, but God is working on me.

War is so ugly. Makes us look forward to a time when death gets cast into the eternal fire and we spend all our days with God, have Him wipe away all our tears.

I don't know how people without that hope make it through the day.
Exactly why works for not save, keep saved or top off salvation...any and all good or works in a believer is the direct result of Christ in us and through us as a living sacrifice...he is doing the works, producing the fruit and he gets ALL THE GLORY!

All of the scriptures in your daily bump are absolutely correct! They tell the awesome story of redemption! They DO NOT say that you don't have to do anything to be saved. They do not say that you don't have to be obedient to the teachings of Jesus. You have to balance the Word of God to come up with the correct interpretation. God is love, be he is also the righteous judge. I won't take the time to do it, but I could post just as many scriptures that say that faith alone can never save you. I will give just one:

Titus 2:
11 - For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 - Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world

Grace is a teacher. It doesn't replace your responsibility to do something, it teaches you what you should do.
Grace is a POSITION we are placed in by faith and grace also facillitates the ability to he saved.

In the grace you are, having been SAVED OUT OF FAITH.....NO works or water mentioned!

The circular reasoning you use is ignorant...ok let's play this out....where is the church Jesus started in Jerusalem, or all the churches that Paul started in his life? You lawyers, working for Pharisees have no concept of context and or the truth.....no wonder....when one believes a false gospel from the get go....the word is spiritually discerned<---go figure that one out!

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

Colossians 1:5 the FAITH and LOVE that spring from the HOPE that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel.

James 1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

Romans 10:8-18 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world

.”1 Corinthians 15:1-5 Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 1:1-3,14 The Word Became Flesh In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 3:16-21 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

2 John 1:4-11 It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us. And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

John 6:63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

Our Lord Jesus will save His BODY and not the individual.

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.

WHY WOULD THE LORD ASK SOMEONE WHO IS ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED ACCORDING TO YOUR FALSE MANMADE DOCTRINE,WHY HE SHOULD LET HIM IN. DO YOU DOUBT YOUR SALVATION?

BUT TO SATISFY YOUR INTENTION, THE VERSE BELOW CONTAINS MY ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION. IF YOU STILL DON’T GET IT, TEST YOURSELF IF YOU ARE IN THE FAITH BECAUSE;”The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”1 Corinthians 2:14

Of course they did: “Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”

BTW I AM ABLE TO OBEY BECAUSE; “For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that THE RIGHTEOUS REQUIREMENTS OF THE LAW MIGHT BE FULLY MET IN US, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:3-4

Luke 24:49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

Galatians 3:14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
I'm looking for direct answers to my direct questions and not 10 pages of random scripture quoting. Are you a troll? Shall we try again?

What do YOU believe the true Gospel IS and what do YOU believe it means to BELIEVE the Gospel? -- Romans 1:16.

Have you PERFECTLY obeyed ALL of the commandments and do you believe that will be the basis by which you receive eternal life?

How do you answer the question in Acts 16:30, "What must I do to be saved?"

If you were standing at the gates of heaven right now and the Lord Jesus Christ asked you why He should let you into heaven, what would be your EXACT answer?

If I remember correctly.
First,
Blessed are those who read Revelation.

And second,
I believe the Word is remove not stir.

Seems to me you have yet to reconcile.

I like to see sanctification as christian growth, The more we obey Gods commands, The more we grow in him, because the more we see who and what he is. Communion is a command, thus communion is part of sanctification

If this is your definitions of sanctification and justification, I bet these 2 scriptures drive you crazy:

James 2:24-25 King James Version (KJV)
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers,
and had sent them out another way?

How do we reconcile these 2 scriptures with Paul?

OK, lets analyze Acts 16:30-34 and answer that question, so here is the scripture:

[h=1]Acts 16:30-34 King James Version (KJV)[/h]30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and
all his, straightway.
34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

So the analysis shows some interesting doctrinal anomalies.
1) All you have to do is believe and you are saved.
2) no mention of faith.
3) no mention of the HS.
4) no mention of trusting in Jesus.
5) there is mention that the jailer and his house were baptized (the word 'straitway' tells us it was a water baptism, see Mat. 3:16).
6) no mention of sanctification.
7) no mention of justification.
8) no mention of repentance.
9) no mention of obedience.
10) no mention of good works (except water baptism).

Well, I guess I will throw the entire bible out the window, except I will scissor out Acts 16:30 and I will hand that to Jesus at the pearly gates and he will have no reason to turn me away.

1 John 3:17 (HCSB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his ⌊need⌋—how can God’s love reside in him?
New International Version 1984 2 Timothy 3:15-16 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise FOR SALVATION through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

John 12:47-50 “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

John 14:31 but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. “Come now; let us leave.

New International Version 1984 John 3:34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit WITHOUT LIMIT.

John 8:46-47 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

1 Corinthians 2:10-16 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3,7 On Divisions in the Church Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
