How honest are people?

If one holds to "free grace" theology, why not just declare it.
Saying someone is lying or deceived or evil because they disagree with "free grace" is a given.
Every theological position has its answers to obvious verses and ideas that contradict.

Within ones understanding one can look at these questions and debate them, but unless one
is willing to concede with a good heart you can hold both positions, it becomes a little futile.

And the irony is, inherent within some positions, one does not have a good heart, and has known
unresolved sin, but that is ok, because sin does not need to be resolved or worked through.

As long as believers hold to this level of impurity, as a given, I have nothing left to say, than
grace be unto you, until you find purity you will never see God.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Matt 5:8

I hope you understand this is not a command, because we cannot chose to be pure in
heart, we can though submit to purification through repentance, confession and faith in
the cross, working through our emotions and responses and letting love reign.

Pure in heart would include not sitting in judgment of others. Love reigns much stronger without judging others hearts, for only God can see into a person's soul.

I was a member of the Bible-discussion website before it shut down and I finally stopped posting on that website around 4 months prior to it shutting down because it turned into a war zone and had reached the point to where it had just about become completely hijacked by false teachers! Christian Chat is still my favorite Bible discussion forum, but we still need to be on our guard against wolves who creep onto Christian Chat and seek to hijack it and pervert the gospel.

It became a terrible place to try and hold a discussion. Hopefully, CC moderators will keep a close eye on those who have come over here. Would hate to see this place become like BD.

People should stop responding to any comments about the sabbath under this thread. You are absolutely correct. A moderator should move all that "sabbath" talk to another thread. We are speaking here about works vs grace salvation.

The church is the Body of Christ, those called out. The Body of Christ is made up of people who have agreed with God about their condition as sinners in need of salvation. Anyone who goes to what we call "church" is a sinner, falling into one of two categories: saved, and unsaved (those who have repented and confessed their need of God, and those who have not).

What an odd comparison, God has order in all of creation including the Church and the Christianchat.com forums. If you cannot follow earthly rules what good is making a reasonable request about anything. Your reasoning is faulty and makes me wonder about anything else you may have to say about the bible.

There are always the prayer and family forum threads There is such a great need presented there on a regular basis that it is fairly overwhelming, and more than enough to make one feel quite inadequate to meet the needs of those asking for help Singles and Misc can be fun, and the News forum is a mixed bag of various views, often polarized as is the BDF.

I love the term "free grace" coined by the working for sinless perfectionists.....why you ask....because it proves a few things.....

a. They, like their fathers of old who were blind leaders of the blind are two peas in a pod.
b. They have no understanding of the word of God
c. They devalue the sacrifice and work of Christ

Why do I say these things....because both salvation and the positioning of grace are free in Christ Jesus....!

I agree.....just an attempt to derail....more law abiding works that = ignorance
