Really? Where did you refute any scripture I sent you? Are you just making things up now NNM? Who said we are saved by Works? Not me. If we are in agreement then you have no argument have you?
if you believe what Jesus says, then you in these guys mind, believe in salvation by works. if you believe what paul teaches in the latter half of His epistles regarding How we have to repent of sin and obey God...then you are a works by salvationist" because they will only believe the first third of an epistle, if you just read about Grace......then i guess the rest of the epistle doesnt exist because of the gog.
for instance this chapter in ephesians 1 is undeniable truth
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory."
if you purposely stop in the first sections, you see only this message " God has forgiven me, im saved by His grace" but then if you continue you get inbto all the instructions and corrections for thier behaviors, things that say this very clear and drastic warning, repeated by Paul in His epistels....
ephesians 5 " Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7Be not ye therefore partakers with them."
the thing is chapter 1 doesnt erase chapter 5, nor does it altar How paul wrote what He wrote. in the same epistle to the same people. when people go back and forth with different verses that oppose each other in idea, its because both sides are failing to accept scripture and no one is able to say 1+1=2
instead its my 1, is the only relevant number, and math is a ridiculous concept.....pauls epistles, teach Grace, and they also teach the truth that we have to repent and Live right because thats why He died and rose, not that we go on living in sin, but that we turn against sin and live for righteousness. people want to say " Jesus Loves me and layed down His life for me" but ignore Him saying " im going to lay down my life for you, go lay down yours for others. "
some want " Ihave come to call sinners Not the righteous"
instead of I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance"
some want to stop at " Neither do i condemn you"
instead of " Neither do i condemn you, Now go and sin no More"
and to accomplish this " division of the word" the second half of epistles have to also be omitted because its pauls message " now go and Leave your life of sin"
peter is correct pauls epistles if you isolate verses are very easily distorted to Ones destruction and to the subversion of the hearers.
ask How the second half all of pauls teachings about eternal Judgement, exclusion from inheritance after chapter one said your now included.....ask why half of a verse or epistle applies for either side.
some need to accept that God is Gracious, merciful and wills that we are saved, others need to realize God is Holy and His word will not change for us, it will change us if we believe to bring us into obedience as pauls doctrine was meant to do.
romans 15:8" For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed"
when pauls message explains why no one needs to obey anything because its not grace that way.......yaddda yadda....its because they have listened to the ones paul warns of in the same epistles, those who deceive with vain words, and teach that our deeds no longer apply such as ephesians, galatians ch 5-6, romans, both thessolonian letters......what paul taught was meant to make people obedient to God, not teach them to think no one needs to do anything because of Grace......false doctrine is a dangerous road to follow when it obviously neglects the Word of God and the salvation explainined clearly there. i guess if eternal Life isnt worth repenting of our sins and the pleasures we Hold so dear now it should be seen as "a free gift guarantee and obedience is a bad idea because no one can change and become obedient to God.....thats why we have Grace"
Only
titus 2 " For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
"zealous of good works."
Zealous, synonyms " dedicated to, devout, ardent in, fervent, diligent, passionate for.....
the argument of the gog " those who think we need to repent and do good works are trying to save themselves and have fallen from Grace" even when that idea is opposite what Grace is supposed to teach people. to do and live like. 20 years ago jospeh prince heard god explain its not Grace, you teach because you are teaching people they need to repent, and obey God"
thats the source of the magnification of this doctrine what they are basing, omitting the gospel and all the bible says of Grace and defining it based on the " revolutionary grace of joseph prince" and those like Him that have always been there teaching the Grace that actually opposes and negates the truth.
