Now I see what you were trying to say. But the point you missed, since you apparently did not read my post is that Jesus was actually in a few instances in the sermon on the mount did in fact tell people that if they did not do this of if they did that, they would go to heaven or hel. So reread and you will understand.
Did jesus get legalistic, stating people had to earn salvation or did he mean something else?
I have studied the jesus words well. I would not assume things.

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

lol you arent going to destroy the whole gospel with semantics LGF
there is no doubt salvation is by grace through faith and those born again are saved forever
Hmm seems someone has no scripture to share and is upset now? Why by upset? Why are you affended because I said we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW the Word of God? My dear friend if you are not FOLLOWING God's Word you are not BELIEVING it. UNBELIVERS have no part in God's KINGDOM.

Salvation is indeed a GIFT of GOD by GRACE through FAITH. SOME use these scriptures however as a liscence to SIN yet it is God's WORD that says that GRACE is for OBEDIENCE to the FAITH (Romans 1:5) and WE DO NOT ABOLISH GOD's LAW through FAITH, we ESTABLSIH it (Romans 3:32)

This is God's Word do you BELIEVE it?

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

If your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDEICE you are still in your SINS because you have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son (Romans 6:23). If your tree has no FRUIT it will be cast down and thrown into the FIRE (Matt 7:12-23; James 2:18; 20; 26)

SIN will keep all who KNOWINGLY practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM (Hebrews 10:26-27)

..............

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Hebrews 10
10 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

(guess whos devoured..... the enemies who are His footstool vs 13)

(vs 26 telling the Hebrews who have came to know Christ to stop their sacrifices... not enemies but children...sanctified by His sacrifice)

Jesus did indeed pay the price for our SINS but not so we can CONTINUE in SIN. Those that CONTINUE IN SIN count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing and openly put Christ to shame.

SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; 3:20; James 2:8-12). Those wos CONTINUE IN SIN do not KNOW him who calls them in LOVE to LOVE another.

Many will come to him on that day saying; Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work SIN (iniquity) (Matthew 7:21-23)

They had a form of Godliness but denied God's power of salvation from SIN (1 Tim 3:1-5) and did not KNOW him

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU KNOW GOD?

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

WHO ARE GOD'S PEOPLE?

Revelation 12
17,
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ

Revelation 14
12,
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

WHO ARE THOSE THAT RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE?

Revelation 22
14, Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life,
and may enter in through the gates into the city.

WHAT IS GRACE FOR?

Romans 1
5, By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name.

DOES FAITH ABOLISH GOD'S LAW?

Romans 3
31,
Do we then ABOLISH THE LAW THROUGH FAITH? GOD FORBID: YES, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO CONTINUE IN SIN ONCE THEY RECEIVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH?

Hebrews 10
26,
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Indeed, those who CONTINUE IN SIN will not enter the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

there is much wrong with what you just said....

please learn context

those He never knew

were never saved to begin with

read the whole verse please

right after youre warned of knowing them by their fruit

they start boasting of their works

and He NEVER knew them

they were not born again

and anyone without the imputed righteousness of Jesus will be judged for their sin

(iniquity)

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

(that we believe on Him the Father sent)

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(boasting of works)
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

(never knew them.... NEVER.... these arent born again Christians)
I know and amen...it would take 5 pages just to clear it up in context...I just responded with one central truth...no man keeps the law which deems guilt and points to Christ...

The imputed righteousness of Christ is a neat little trick that does not work
Christ does not keep his promises
Christ is too weak to keep us saved or finish what he started
We need to help God do what he said he would do

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.
Philippians 2:5-9

Anyone who does not understand Jesus died so that we might respond and walk
with Him, has not met Jesus.

Jesus's death is denied if we do not respond, our faith makes the reality complete.
If we have faith but do not walk in repentance, confession and obedience, again
we deny who Jesus is.

So Christ's death was the first step of a walk, that He empowered.
To think what Jesus did is all there is to salvation, one is a universalist.

Abraham was deemed righteous because of the faith he exercised, and demonstrated
by submitting Isaac to being sacrificed.

What is illuminating is someone who claims like a badge of honor, all they need is Christs
sacrifice, except they also believe you have to have faith in Christ as well. So they
ridicule their own faith, while thinking they are smart and pointed in their mockery.
This is possible because mockery is more important to them than truth, disputing than
finding empathy and resolution with understanding.

If one has to minister to people, you need to connect with them where they are and their
history. I find this all missing, rather just a few ideas, and dismissive behaviour towards
difficult and complicated issues, that if they remain lock us out of what it means to walk
with Jesus. Does any mountaineer fully know whether they will make it to the end?
Equally we start our walk with Jesus only knowing a small amount, but wanting more.
Praise God He reassures us, the more we trust Him, the more we are assured of arriving
in His image, Amen.
I pray that their compulsion begins to be tempered with the subject they are claiming
to have such authority about, while failing so radically to address the subject matter.
Grace and peace to you.

Wheather you are upset or not I do not know only you and God know the answer to that one. You seemed upset because I shared scripture with you and you chose not to believe it.

If you BELIEVE the scriptures or not that I shared with you, I do not judge you. It is the Word of God that will judge us all at the last days.

My discussion with you was over SIN and how SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

My questions and scriptures to you was what does it mean to BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ? The scriptures show that to BELIEVE means to FOLLOW God's WORD.

Now instead of replying to my posts and the scripture in them you wish to now change the subject to talk about Hebrews 10.

Ok my friend lets talk Hebrews 10.

(guess whos devoured..... the enemies who are His footstool vs 13)

(vs 26 telling the Hebrews who have came to know Christ to stop their sacrifices... not enemies but children...sanctified by His sacrifice)
Now NNM who is disagreeing that Hebrews 10 is talking about the OLD and NEW Covanant? Not me so if we are in agreement then you have no argument. There is something you are NOT paying attention to and that is what SIN is and the reference to those who CONTINUE in SIN in v26-27. Let's look at the scriptures....

WHAT IS SIN?

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, YOU ARE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW

James is pretty clear if we brake ANY of God's Law (10 commandments) then we are a TRANSGRESSOR of God's LAW

links to...........

1 John 3
4 Whosoever commits SIN transgresses also the law: for SIN is the transgression of the law.
John is in agreement with James and states that if we TRANSGRESS God's LAW then we commit SIN because SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW. So it is very clear that SIN is breaking ANY of God's LAW (10 commandments)
Links to...........

Romans 7

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known SIN, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Well here we have Paul in agreement with James and John also telling us that SIN is breaking God's commandments and uses the 10th commandment as an example of breaking any of God's LAW (10 commandments) = SIN (Exodus 20:17)

Links to............

Romans 3

20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.
Once again Paul is in agreement with John and James which all agree together that if we break any of God's LAW (10 commandments) we commit SIN because as James, John and Paul all agree together that SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 commandments.

YES Hebrews 10 is talking about SACRIFICES FOR SIN pointing to Jesus. v 1-15.

Then we are talking about the NEW Covenant promise of Jeremiah and Hebrews 8 repeated again v 16-22

Now lets focus here in v23-31..........

23, Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;

for he is faithful that promised New Covenant is in let's follow it; hold fast to it.

24,
And let us consider one another to provoke to love and to good works:
25,
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
26, For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Now according to your interpretation this makes no sense whatsoever. Paul is talking about the NEW Covenant here and that if we SIN (break God's Commandments) after we receive a KNOWLEDGE of the truth.

So if we CONTINUE in SIN there remains no more sacrifice for SIN but a fearful looking forward of Judgement which shall devour the adversaries. Who are the adversaries? v26 Those who are willfully SINNING after the have received a KNOWELDGE of the truth.

28,
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29, Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite to the Spirit of grace?
30, For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, said the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

NOW IF WE CONTINUE IN SIN AFTER WE RECEIVE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WHY IS THERE NO MORE SACRIFICE FOR SIN?

Hebrews 6
4, For it is impossible
for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5,
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7, For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes oft on it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from God:
8, But that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, and is near to cursing; whose end is to be burned.

If your CONTINUING IN SIN then you are rejecting the GIFT of God's SALVATION from SIN.

SIN will keep all whp practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM because the wages of SIN is death to those that reject God's GIFT of GRACE.

THE CONTEXT of v26-27 is the NEW Covenant and CONTINUING in SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.
There is too many supporting scriptures for this.

Do you BELIEVE that if someone is professing the name of Christ but chooses to CONTINUE to LIVE a LIFE of KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN is in a SAVED state before God or an UNSAVED Sate before GOD? (scripture please)
................
