The Christian retains his free will.
Free will to a new creature is to do the will of another. It’s the kind of food (unseen spiritual) the disciple’s knew not of.

It would seem the Son of man had graduated from drinking milk showing he is gracious moving on to the meat of His will.

To violate the will of God resulted in him corrupting the whole first creation.

In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Joh 4:31

We have freedom with Emanuel (God with us) not freedom to the will of another.(our own selves inspired by the god of this world. )

THEN ASK THEM IF THEY LOVE GOD AND THEY WOULD SURELY ANSWER YES OR ASK YOU YOUR QUESTION BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT LOVE FOR GOD IS OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS WHICH IS A WORK THAT IF ADDED TO FAITH COULD RUIN THEIR MANMADE FALSE DOCTRINE THAT THEY UPHOLD.
is this how you loved your kids? Maybe you don't have any?

Not me. I loved them the moment they were conceived. Yet my boys would squirt me when I pulled their diaper off. And all of them messed those diapers so bad, I wanted to hurl at first.

Will God love us any less?

Selah..

Greetings StonesOfFire,

I can see James observing his fellow believers, talking with great authority, claiming so very
much yet failing to love at a basic simple level.

This illustrates, like this thread, one can get a set of ideas that can really take root, the more
one studies the more certain one becomes, yet ones heart does not reflect the truth of love
reaching out to others, getting alongside and helping.

Anyone can become convinced they have it, and those evil opponents over there do not.
Yet Jesus says in the midst of this, do you love, can you see, have you found purity and
are not caught up in hurt, insult, revenge.

So I must remind myself each day, at the foot of the cross, who is my Lord and what is
His calling on my life. To love as He loved, to give as He gave, and to serve as He served.
This is scriptural Peter. We do consider ourselves dead to the nature of sin on a daily basis. But, it's always today is the day of salvation. Each day is new, so His mercies are new every morning. If we can get this pattern of thought, we are beginning the walk of faith. Living an overcoming life. Not by effort though. By His blood applied to our conscience, and being conscuous of these truths. We overcome by His blood and testimony.

Purity? If we just center on Jesus as we go about our day, we will overcome. He is the pure one. We always fall short. He wants fellowship, not forced obedience.

Do we agree?

A good question you should ask yourself.......you have regularly accused in this thread those things which are false....both as PJ and now under this new fake banner.....
We can only deal with our own heart too. Those who want to push law are always judging others but are not aware of their own coming up short of the glory.

Can one dwell in glory? Yes, but not from seeing mankind, not even self. Only by beholding!

Amen, as Paul says we need to test our own hearts to the word of God

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
1 John 4:1-2

Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,
for each one should carry his own load.
Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.
Galatians 6:4-6

The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything.
If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven--if there was anything to forgive--I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,
in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
2 Corinthians 2:9-11

If sin is found in us, we are called to ask Jesus to forgive us, Amen.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
James 5:16

Those without real faith do not believe they are truly forgiven or purified.
There faith is just as a sinner they are slaves to their sin, from which there
is no freedom, because they have never truly believed and trusted Jesus
as their Savior and Lord.

So they are trapped in this compromised, powerless faith which has no real
reality in their hearts, which they actually know, but this reality is too shattering
for them to cry aloud to Christ for spiritual reality and truth.

Dear Lord Jesus, break into the hearts of these lost people who deny you victory and
authority, so they might be filled with your Holy Spirit and know the power of your
resurrection, In Jesus's Name, Amen.
Your prayer is in opposition to your teaching Peter.

How is only have 'one piece of fruit' not still being in your old life?

But we already know your answer to my question.

You're saying it doesn't matter how you live after you get saved, even if all you have is one piece of fruit. You can't evade this by saying you mean purposely vs. not purposely living in your old life. Living in your old life is living in your old life no matter how you slice it.

The person who is unchanged is unsaved. John said the person who practices sin is not born again (1 John 3:8). This is to be contrasted with saved people who still sin (1 John 2:1). There is a distinct difference.

Just the fact that you try to quantify fruitful works shows you do not know about walking in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit is a change of character, not a list of times you did right. Changed/ changing people are saved people. Unchanged/ unchanging people are not saved.
It is not a change of character. It is death to the old, and a brand new creation of Spirit rule over flesh, or soul and body. Comes from looking at atonement.

Christians do get caught in the rut of trying to change the old man. Brings failure. Put it to death and rule by Spirit.

No condemnation to the spiritual man or woman for we have passed from death to life! Eternally!

STILL NO ONE HAS DISCERNED WHY ELAMOR EXPOSED THE COMMON BEHAVIOUR IN THIS THREAD.

AS I SEE IT, HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF TO SEE WHAT WILL THE REACTIONS BE IF HE WILL DO THAT TO SOMEONE WHO DOES THE SAME THING AND I REALIZED GOD DID SOMETHING TO REVEAL A MESSAGE TO THOSE WHO ARE SEEKING THE TRUTH.

PRIOR TO ELAMOR’S POST HE MENTIONED THAT THOSE WHO REJECT THE LAW ARE THE ANTICHRIST (PARAPHRASED) SINCE THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS TESTIFIED/PROPHESIED ABOUT THE LORD AS COMING IN THE FLESH.

WE ALL KNOW THAT EVERY ORGANIZATIONS OR GROUPS FOLLOW CERTAIN RULES AND REGULATIONS AND HERE IN CHRISTIAN CHAT WE ALSO ADHERE TO THEM OR WE GET BANNED.

I ASKED MYSELF WHY THESE SELF PROFESSED CHRISTIANS WITH SOME EVEN CLAIMING TO BE PREACHERS ARE OBEYING MAN MADE RULES TO THE POINT OF MOCKING AND CONDEMNING THE PERSON WHO VIOLATED SUCH RULES, YET REJECTS GOD’S LAWS AND COMMANDMENTS BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THAT OBEDIENCE IS A WORK THAT CANNOT SAVE THEM AND WHATEVER DISOBEDIENCE THEY MAY DO WON’T AFFECT THEIR SALVATION BECAUSE “ONCE SAVED IS ALWAYS SAVED".

1 John 4:1-6 Test the Spirits Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command.”

Hebrews 5:7-9 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, HE LEARNED OBEDIENCE from what he suffered and, once MADE PERFECT, he became the source of ETERNAL SALVATION for all who OBEY him

James 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was MADE COMPLETE by what he did.
Your first misstep is to ask yourself anything.

Your prayer is in opposition to your teaching Peter.
The prayer is about bringing revelation to the hearts of people so they come in humble
repentance before the King. The Lord never forces people, but I can express my desire
that people see the glorious love and beauty of our King.

When I came to the Lord, it was not my choice, rather what lay before me drew me on.
There was no other way, which I resisted.

May the Lord, break us, humble, remold us into His image and His will, Amen.

Your preaching that I have nothing to do with my Christian Walk is popular to be sure. I mean, what a God right. Just say His name and presto, no more responsibility for our actions. Your Jesus does it all. "come as you are". And if you try and study as instructed, and obey as instructed, you are actually disqualifying yourself from His Kingdom. I can see why so many people would reject God's Salvation plan and be tricked into following yours. But I'm going to stick with the Word of God, unpopular as this is with Mainstream Christianity.

Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

1 Cor. 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Matt. 10:11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

1 Thess. 212 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

1 Tim. 5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

I know your preaching Decon. It is widespread to be sure and follow by billions in one form or another. But your religion forces me to choose between the words and teaching of men and their worldly accepted religion with their Great High Days and universally known image of the Christian God, and the Word's of the God of Abraham who became a man to show me the narrow Path to eternal life. Although it places me in the minority, I have chosen God's word over your Mainstream Religious doctrines and traditions.

No offence!

As for Abraham, he didn't have the Levitical "Law of Works", Levi wasn't even born yet. How could he be justified by the Levitical Laws of justification? But he did have God's Laws.

Gen. 26:4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
5Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Had Abraham done as the Pharisees and rejected God's Instructions and created his own, would he be included in the Hebrews Faith Chapter? In fact, had any of those in Heb. 11, created their own Laws and rejected God's as did the Pharisees, they wouldn't be included in the Faith Chapter.

Abraham believed in God enough to follow His instructions. That is why God said He blessed him. That is the Faith of Abraham.

I am not going to throw all this truth away so I can be part of a huge religious social club.

God's Word means something Decon. Not just the few scriptures you use to defend your religious traditions, but ALL of His Words.
You got this mixed up studyman. Most are trying to obey rules and keeping God at arms length so to speak.

Intimacy. Comes from being one with Him. This walk of faith in His keeping power is much greater and more victorious than our trying to be what He has already made us.

Amen. Each day is an adventure with the Lord, a new leaf on the walk with Him.

I am merely saying, because each day is new, there are no certain outcomes until we
apply faith and praise. To assume defeat is to deny the very hope and work He has done
within. This is the glory of resting in Him and doing that which we are called to do.

There are believers who have no bible, no discipleship whatsoever, no brethren or church around them. They are surrounded by darkness. Will they really grow in their knowledge and faith and continue to do works of obedience throughout their life? Will they really live out the word of truth and increase in faith?
They can by the power of Holy Spirit. He speaks and He answers questioning.

Think what you want. Your limp wristed view of God's discipline for his children is all just part of the new grace theology circulating through the church these days. We are in the end times.

What you say here is proving my point exactly about what I said.
Limp wristed huh? The goodness of the Lord causes men to repent. This is His written Word. Loves breaks rebellion.

See, if you indulge immorality, drunkenness, greed, love of the world, etc., and you're getting away with it in the name of this 'works don't matter' theology in the church today, you are in fact showing yourself to not be saved. You are not showing that theology to be true, you are showing yourself to be what the Bible says.......you're not saved.

Sinking in yet, people?
Who said anything about the works of the sin nature which was put to death by the Cross?

I am living by and in ressurection power of His life.

This made me think.

If John calls those who say they know God yet walk in disobedience and deny Jesus's words
apply them liars, we equally can say the same thing.

If one thinks this through carefully a fair few people on these forums are liars, in a real biblical
sense, as described by John.

It is also strange how easily some use this phrase of lying but are unable to specify what about.
The sad reality is when people say one thing, and then deny it soon after.

Obedience is to believe what God says, which is true humility.

I don't think this teaching is what God had in mind EG.

22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Eternal life is not given to you until the end. IF one continues in His Goodness,

Rom. 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Gal. 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Gal. 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Heb. 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

1 Pet. 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
WE are to be diligent and "Take heed" that the "many" who come in Christ's Name don't deceive us BECAUSE we CAN BE TRICKED. Because We can "turn away", because we CAN "Be cut off".

The serpent teaches we Can't loose life EG, not the God of the Bible. Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Are you preaching you already have eternal life? That you don't have to "endure" to the end? That you don't have to be "diligent"? That you don't have to "Take Heed"? That you don't have to "continue" in His Goodness.

Rom. 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Is Paul peaching that I am to actually do something here, a "work"? If I already have been given Immortality, which I can not loose as you preach, then why am I to continue to seek it in "well Doing"? Doesn't Jesus do all the "well doing" for me?

I don't know EG.

You preach that God created instructions so burdensome, so grievous, so many in number that it is impossible to keep them, and that God did this on purpose, then turned around and killed tens of thousands of people for not keeping these laws He created too burdensome to follow. Could this unjust God you preach also give you eternal life then take it away?

There is another option though. Maybe, just maybe the Bible is truth. I know it's a long shot, but maybe man doesn't have immortality yet as the Bible teaches and men won't receive it until after Jesus comes back and gives this gift to them. Maybe the scriptures are right and your preaching is wrong. Maybe God is true and MAN is the liar. Maybe we are to have faith that God "WIIL GIVE us eternal life as it is written, IF we continue to follow His Sayings which by any objective view should be considered "Good", don't you think?

Col. 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

You should re-think this one EG.
The serpent can say nothing but half truths and twisted scripture. Enduring....please read the scriptures closely. Will you remain in hot burning love of God when persecuted for faith? When the sword of truth may even divide your household? Will you deny you know Him to save your head? Literally!

This is what Jesus speaks of with spewing out Luke warmness. Hot love? Look at David.

Now, in saying this, I am in no way approving of his failures. Making a point. Same as all of us have been doing but these things are flying over heads. Why?

bitterness defiling the water of life. No joy in Mudville.

Hilarious.....I am sitting in my cabin, in Mark Twain national forest, off grid (only connected by SAT internet) listening to the wood stove, Fox NEWS with a cup of coffee and bouncing around my second home CC HAHAHAHHAHAHHHAHHAH
This would be awesome to me. My Doberman is so used to the front yard, that if I take him to the forest, he is petrified!
