I always say he is not limited by time, but rather is the God of TIMING.....everything happens on his time frame.......you know if you do the math of a 1000 years being compared to a watch in the night a man who live to be 50 will have his life pass before God in 9 minutes and obviously 18 minutes for 100 years...if God was subject unto time...No wonder he writes of us being a vapor that appears for a little tie and then vanishes away....just think....6000 years of human history = 18 hours worth of watches in the night.......when we view things form God's standpoint of time...it opens up the reality of many prophetic events concerning time.....
Ok I have done the math.

I make it 28 minutes for 50 years.

Maybe our friend Posthuman (maths guru can clarify)

Or maybe my math is wrong:cool:

But it is a matter of perception, you want it to be the one Akiene drew rather than this. And yes she is very gifted.

Based on where Jesus was from, and without being a picture of what you would want him to look like, this is probably more accurate.

And what if he did look like this, would that put you off? Why are people so drawn to face value?

Akiene, has seen Him and painted His portrait. You can search for her.

thats not Him

Yes, and what is your thought on those people, do you have that it is God's power healing through them, or are you sceptical?

What does that have to do with a group of men that claimed JESUS was using the power of the devil to do his work....it is obvious that JESUS was doing his work by the power of GOD.....as far as your example....they claim Christ is their power behind their work.....not the devil....so, how does that apply?

Another reason I wanna get rid of it is because the Mormon missionaries gave it to me, before I joined their church. Now that I know (several decades later) that they're a cult, I want no part at all in it...

What about creating images of God/Jesus. Like murder and stealing, it is expressly forbidden to create, acknowledge, bow down to or worship any image of God/Jesus created in the likeness of anything, including man, fish, etc. I mean if a person creates an image, contrary to His Instructions, and places Jesus name on it. Is this a sin which needs to be repented of?
You make no sense with the above.

People either let Jesus purify them and create a pure heart

or believe in covering it all up is the way to be.

Yes because people have free will. They are not controlled by God. So if they reject God, how does God help them, when he can't? His glory can not be reached by them.
Who says God can't help them?

Only us humans.

There is nothing that God cannot do.
Yet do we limit what he can do and will do according to his will?

Yes we do.

That's why we should never give up.

Salvation - repentance, faith, works - founded on purity

Lose any part of the three and ones salvation goes.

Repentance - to abide in wilfull rebellion and sin. Heb 10:26-27
faith - to cease to trust God saves you and the cross forgives you. Hebrews 11:6
works - cease to exercise love flowing through ones life. James 2:26

Repentance
If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Heb 10:26-27
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? ......you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Faith
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb 11:6
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. Heb 3:14

Works
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead James 2:26
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9

Eternity is pure, without sin, holy, without blemish. What we call blemish and what God calls
blemish is different. We pick at the smallest details, the right way to be polite or show someone
we are together, or not be condemning, or not appreciating enough, or upsetting someone by
being too firm and not recognise our sinful allegiance to wealth, power, sexual desire, selfish
indulgences, holidays we just cannot go without, recognition of our achievements, what we
deserve.

We are happy to be violent within, a raging inferno, lusting after any opportunity that comes along,
wanting that bigger house, car, position, yet outside we want to be seen as being religious, following
Jesus, getting close to others and helping them, in their poor state of spiritual distress.

Little wonder purity is rejected or intimacy and closeness, it would result in a explosion with many injuries.

But this is what Jesus saw in the pharisees. He saw much that was good, but without taming the heart
and being gentle within, there is no real hope of showing true love without.

Without a pure heart no one will see God.

It is stunning how few desire true purity or righteousness, and have compromised with belief
and staying in sin. The truth of this is when people declare their hypocritical state like it is a
badge of honor.

They simply do not believe Christ came to enable us to walk like Him, loving those we meet and
desiring the best for all, with a gentle, humble, heart.

Now I know the heart of some who will say I am wrong to even put up this image of the goal
of knowing Christ and salvation, yet it is only sinners who have not resolved their sin through
repentance who talk like this, and so by declare their spiritual state in Christ.

I know most believers will not even come anymore to such a place because of this obvious
rebellion and thorns and thistles, but there is always hope for some, and love will always go
the extra mile. Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus.

Well I more refer to those who deliberately and intentionally reject God, and make a mockery of him. I feel that in a way, God waits for us to choose to be closer to him. Some people I find, are always waiting for God to make a move, but I think it is the other way around! Nothing changes until something moves, even if we are moved to the point of complete despair. :)

Who says God can't help them?

I find this truly shocking, I do.

Before coming to CC I did not know people believed they could actually make their hearts pure.:(

What movement, denomination is this?

I am gonna sound foolish here and a bit of an idiot.
Been a Christan for 33 years.
It was only about 10 years ago when someone told me that God is not limited by time.
I see my above post has been given a couple of likes.

Were they given because I acknowledge I'm an idiot? (For some reason I can't add the sunglasses emoji)

The truth is, the world thinks we are idiots, people on this forum who disagree with each other think other is an idiot.
I will always stand for what I believe (I only ever post what I'm sure off, what God has revealed to me)

If that makes me an idiot then I'm glad I'm an idiot.

Shame I can't give myself a like (smiley face with sunglasses)

Your probably right....I am a little under the weather and still jet lagged HAHAH I did my math based upon 3 hours being a watch in the night.....

so here is my math...

1000 years divided by 180 minutes = 5.5555555556 years per minute

5.5555555556 x 9 minutes = 50 years ;)
