Hi Garee,

Nope that is not true you may need to re-read the scriptures. God's Word reads as it reads and is supported by other scriptures. For example the scriptures you question that I posted earlier......

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

the GREEK WORD "KEEP" does indeed mean gaurd as part of it's meaning but the full meaning of the word is

STRONGS
Meaning; KEEP G5083 τηρέω tereo (tee-re'-ō) v.
1. to guard (from loss or injury).
2. (properly) by keeping the eye upon, i.e. to note (a prophecy).
3. to fulfil a command.
4. (by implication) to detain in custody.
5. (thus, figuratively) to maintain.
6. (by extension) to withhold for personal ends.
7. (thus, figuratively) to keep unmarried.

It GREEK Word KEEP also means to [3] fulful a command [5] to maintain to [6] withold for personal ends. So it is important to consider the context of the setting the scriptures is being applied in.

We go on to read in the scriptures that SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; James 2:11; Romans 3:30).

So SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 Commandments (James 2:8-12)

Now that we have a definition of SIN from God's WORD let's look at the rest of the CONTEXT to how the scritpure is being used and substitute the word SIN for breaking God's Commandments or KEEP God's Commandments [GREEK; 4] fulfill a command.

1 John 3
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever commits sin <breaking God's Commandments> transgresses also the law: for sin
<breaking God's Commandments> is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins
<breaking God's Commandments>; and in him is no sin <breaking God's Commandments> .
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not <fulfil a command> : whosoever sins
<breaking God's Commandments> hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness
<does Commandments Ps 119:172> is righteous, even as he is righteous <Obedient; obey>.
8, He that commits sin
<breaking God's Commandments>is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin
<breaking God's Commandments>; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin,<breaking God's Commandments> because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness
<does Commandments Ps 119:172> is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

So as you can see the GREEK meaning of the WORD KEEP also means to FULFILL a Command the CONTEXT of the scriptures is BREAKING GOD'S COMMADMENTS and those who are God's people and those who are NOT are distinguished by their OBEDIENCE Fulfilling of God's Commandments.

Which is why Jesus says. IF you LOVE me KEEP [FULFIL] my COMMANDMENTS....

Paul says the same..

Romans 13
8,
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
9, For this, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

and again...
Romans 3
31,
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yes, we establish the law.

So yep God's Word says what it says and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it. IF you are still in your SINS you need to SEEK him in repentance and forgiveness.

.............

This is true for all of us. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. There is none righteous no not one. This scripture as has been shown above does not say that we stay in our sins only that all of us have sinned. If we had not we would not need a Savior.

Hope this helps.

.......................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). God's Word says if we break one of the ten we stand guilty before God of breaking all the commandments of God (James 2:8-12). God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and if we break it like any of the other commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN (Exodus 20:1-17).

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

as usual, you quote 1st John, while stopping short of the part in chapter 3 where John says the commands are to believe in the name of the Son, and love one another. no Sabbath.

1st John is a letter. it should be read as one. you can take 40 verses out of 6 different books to try to explain away clear meaning, but I think that John knew what he was saying. keeping the Sabbath is not a command for N.T. and forward believers. every place where it would have been easily said, it was not.

IS YOUR FAITH BASED ON THE VERY FIRST LIE
TOLD IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN?

Let's start here with the father of lies......

John 8
44,
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: FOR HE IS A LIAR AND THE FATHER OF IT.

The Devil is the Father of LIES those that do not FOLLOW God follow their Father the devil and the deeds of their father they will do.

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that saith, I KNOW HIM, and KEEPS NOT HIS COMMANDMENTS, is a LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM

links to...........

1 John 3
4,
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that committeth sin is of the devil
; (the father of lies and the deeds of their father they will do)

The father of lies from the begining. Let's go to the beginning will look at separate meanings and types....

Genesis 3
1,
Now the SEPENT <Satan Rev 12:9> was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the WOMEN <Church good or bad; Jeremiah 6:2; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:23-27; Isaiah 1:21-27; Jeremiah 3:1-3; 6-9; Ezk 16:15-58; 23:2-21; Hos. 2:5; 3:1; Rev. 14:4>, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2,
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the FRUIT of the trees of the garden: <FRUIT of OBEDIENCE (James 2:18; 20; 26; Matthew 7:12-23; Jon 15:1-10)

3,
But of the FRUIT of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, LEST YOU DIE <God's LAW; represents God's 10 commandments which gives the KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEUSNESS; Good and Evil; Romans 3:20; 7:7; James 2:11; 1 John 3:4; Ps 119:172; but makes nothing perfect>.

4,
And the serpent said unto the woman, YOU SHALL NOT SURELY DIE:< The first LIE from the beginning; John 8:44)

5,
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL. < Prior to DIOBEYING God Mankind DID NOT KNOW what EVIL (SIN) was because they were in HARMONY and OBEDIENT to God's WORD>

6,
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7,
And THE EYES OF THEM WERE OPENED, AND THEY KNEW THAT THEY WERE NAKED; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. <God's LAW is the KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS; When they SINNED they now had the KNOWLEDGE of both GOOD and EVIL; Romans 3:20; 7:7; James 2:11; 1 John 3:4; Ps 119:172; The saw that they were naked and tried to cover themselves with figleaves; SIN took away their RIGHTEOUSNESS and now they are guilty before God in SIN; NAKED before God in SIN trying to cover themselves with figleaves (flithy rags) Isaiah 63:6; Righteousness to cover our nakedness only from God; Luke 15:22; If we SIN we lose it; Romans 3:19 >

8,
And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

9,
And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10, And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11, And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

Key points and putting it all together..........

The Serpent and father of LIES is the Devil he lied to MANKIND from the beginning. God's Commandment to Adam and Eve was NOT to eat of the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL (SIN AND RIGHTESOUNESS) lest you DIE. Adam and Eve did not have the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL (SIN AND RIGHTESOUNESS) because they had NEVER SINNED and where in HARMONY with God in OBEDIENCE to HIS WORD.

THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL REPRESENTS GOD's Commandments. The TAKING THE FRUIT symbolizes BREAKING the TREE and DISOBEYING God's Commandment NOT TO EAT the FRUIT lest you DIE is UNBELIEF in God's WORD.

The TREE of the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL represents God's 10 commandments.

THIS IS A WARNING FOR US TODAY. THE same LIE told to ADAM and EVE is being repeated in the mainstream Churches of today.

SIN is the transgression of GOD'S LAW and if anyone CONTINUES in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN; God's WORD says they will DIE and not ENTER THE KINGDOM of HEAVEN because they have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son (Romans 6:23; Hebrews 10:26-27; 6:4-8; Matthew 7:12-23)

It is only by partaking of the TREE of LIFE (BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING God's Word by LOVE) through FAITH that Gods FRUITS of OBEDIENCE are seen in the life of God's true people (1 John 3:3-10; Revelation 12:17; 14:12; 22:14) and is why Jesus says if you LOVE me keep my commandments ( John 14:15; 15:10)

..................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin and eating of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil when God has asked us not to eat of it (Genesis 3: 1-11; James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

It is the Word of God that will judge us all come judgement day. You will not be laughing then when you had the opportunity to hear the Word of God but chose to reject it.

Amen! Statements made by ellen white such as..."those who reject God's memorial of creatorship--the Bible Sabbath--choosing to worship and honor Sunday...will receive the mark of the beast" is completely ludicrous! This same ridiculous argument is repeated on a website that LGF has a link to at the bottom all of his posts.

Subjects such as love, grace, kindness, forgiveness, mercy, salvation through faith, return of Christ, dangers of legalism are repeated over and over again in the New Testament. What about the necessity of keeping the Sabbath as a holy day? Oddly enough, it's never mentioned under the New Covenant, not even once. And yet are we to believe this is the single most important issue that is supposed to decide the fate of humanity?

Adventist end time theology boils down to this: Those who keep the Sabbath on Saturday go to heaven, and those who worship God on Sunday receive the mark of the beast and go to hell. This is ludicrous and is a form of legalism. It makes the Sabbath, instead of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the most important end time issue. It takes the focus off of Jesus and puts the focus on works of the flesh and turns keeping the Sabbath day into an idol. :(

People can "quote" God's word all they want, but that does not mean they have the proper interpretation of God's word. Even satan quoted God's word to Jesus, yet twisted it for his own evil purpose.

Hello MMD,

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE GOSPEL IS?

DO YOU KNOW JESUS ?

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:3-4)

Whoever stays in him sins not: whoever sins has not seen him, neither known him. (1 John 3:6)

ARE YOU SAVED BY GRACE ?

By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name (Romans 1:5)

ARE YOU FOLLOWING GOD OR THE DEVIL ?

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother. (1 John 3:7-8; 10)

ARE YOU BORN AGAIN ?

Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (1 John 3:9)

YEP there is a lot of scripture that disagrees with your interpretation of God's Word that you have chosen to ignore.

It is ok if you do not know how to reply to the scriptures in these posts. Maybe you can pray about it at home.

UNANSWERED.......

Yep a lot of scripture. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed come jugement day. tick tock tick tock

DO YOU LOVE JESUS MMD?

???????

...........

Hello JBL

So Jesus in your view did not teach that it is lawful to do GOOD on the Sabbath? (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)

Jesus in your view did not teach that God's Sabbath was made for man kind and not man for the Sabbath rebuking the tradtions of the Jew in regards to their interpretation around Sabbath keeping? (Mark 2:27-28; Matthew 12:8)

Jesus in your view, did not teach that he was the maker and creator of the Sabbath and the God of creation? (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)

Jesus in your view is not our example who kept the Sabbath as well as all those who followed him (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

It is hard to see when your eyes are closed.

In your view Jesus was lying when he said those that break God's Commandments and teach others to do so will not enter God's Kingdom?

In your view Jesus was lying when he said not a jot or tittle will pass from God's LAW until heaven and earth pass away? Now we havent even started on the Aposltes then again if you do not BELIEVE Jesus how will you BELIEVE his discples?

It seems you believe Jesus and the Apostles are all lying and the Bible is not true?

You teach others to brake God's Commandments this is something Jesus and the Apostles NEVER did.

Those who do such things do not enter into God's KINGDOM. This is sad for you my friend. Jesus is calling you my friend but you do not hear him

Lets agree to disagree my friend. If you cannot answer the scriptures and the questions in the posts I send you then there is no discussion with you is there? You are free to believe as you wish. You are not accountable to me but to God who's Word you do not BELIEVE.

There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed come judgment day.

Maybe you can pray about it and we can talk about it further latter
. Thanks for sharing...

..................

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

May God bless you as you seek him through His Word.

I don’t need to wait for the Sabbath to love people and serve them.

Would the Lord have us wait until the Sabbath, to give a hungry person, some food, or water, or clothing to a person who is freezing cold?

Jesus desires for us to do good, and practice righteousness everyday, not just on the Sabbath.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

What I have asked you for is New Tmestament scripture that instructs us how to observe the Sabbath under the New Covenant.

You you have not done this.

It has has become evident to all here, you really have been misled somewhere along the line into thinking the Sabbath in the New Testament is some special religion in and of itself.

Now you hope to led other’s into the same deception you yourself have fallen for.

Not not one single solitary scripture from you, where Jesus or the Apostles have instructed us to observe the Sabbath.

What the New Testament has provided for us is instructions about the Sabbath, and not to emphasize it because it is only a shadow, whereas the substance and reality is Christ.

16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17

Maybe your goal is to get Christians to go to a synagogue on the Sabbath? It that it?

One thing that seems to be consistent with those who emphasize the Sabbath, but have no scripture to provide as to how the born again Christian is to observe the Sabbath each week, under the New Covenant, is; they have a problem with other commandments and live in secret sin, while condemning everyone for not keeping the Sabbath, the way they do.

I have asked you repeatedly to share with us, how you observe the Sabbath, and to provide scripture from the New Testament as to where you got the instructions on how you yourself observe the Sabbath today, but as of yet, you have not.

I wonder why?

If it is so important, so as to not be allowed into God’s kingdom for breaking the Sabbath, why wouldn’t a person be willing to share the way to keep it today?

as usual, you quote 1st John, while stopping short of the part in chapter 3 where John says the commands are to believe in the name of the Son, and love one another. no Sabbath.

1st John is a letter. it should be read as one. you can take 40 verses out of 6 different books to try to explain away clear meaning, but I think that John knew what he was saying. keeping the Sabbath is not a command for N.T. and forward believers. every place where it would have been easily said, it was not.
Now gb9, that is not true at all. You have been provided a very detailed study of 1 John 3:23 looking at the CHAPTER CONTEXT and the within SCRIPTURE CONTEXT that you have not responded to but have chosen to ignore.

Please if you disagree with that I have written in these posts and scriptures that disagree with your interpretation of God's Word please state your case and reply to my posts with scripture. It is only on the WORD of God we stand or fall. If you can't reply to the scriptures in my post that disagree with you it seems you have already fallen....

Here let me make it easy for you. Here are the posts linked all together showing your interpretation of God's Word is not biblical. If you disagree reply to the posts. Simply ignoring the scriptures and stating your wrods over God's Word does not help your case but only shows you do not believe God. These are God's Word my friend not mine you are free to believe what you like. There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed come judgement day.

Please see the linked posts that discuss 1 John 3:23 in detail......

Follow the post order above for a detailed look at the scroptures that disagree with your interpretation of God's Word. Disagree? Please make your case with the scriptures and reply to the posts and scriptures you have chosen to ignore.

Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31).

I don’t need to wait for the Sabbath to love people and serve them.
James 2
8,
If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well:
9, But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you are become a transgressor of the law.
12, So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

DO YOU KNOW JESUS JBL?

1 John 2
3,
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4, He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

What I have asked you for is New Tmestament scripture that instructs us how to observe the Sabbath under the New Covenant.
Yes and you did not answer the scriptures and the questions I provided for you which were....

Well that is not true. It must be hard to see when you close your eyes.

This is what the OP is about. Did you want to adress the OP and all the scriptures that disagree with your interpretation of these scriptures? So far you have ignored the OP and just stated the scritpures that the OP is discussing without adrerssing any of the scriptures that disagree with your interpretation of them.

Although I like and agree with what LGF has to say these repeated long posts are not serving a purpose when they are not read. We should feed the Word of God with a TEAspoon because of it's 'potency and power, shovelling it on peoples plates to excess will end up underfoot to be trampled on and soiled/turned into dung.
God's Word needs to be served respectfully and only as much as can be digested....when rejected stop feeding...is my opinion !
Galatians 3:1-3
1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

As a Christian, what are you when you go back to your work and understanding of the law after you have come to Christ?

Answer; foolish and disobedient.

Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Has Christ made you free? Then stay in Him.

IF you haven't been to Christ then you are still under the law. If you tell people that you yourself are under the law (10 commandments) to fulfill it by your own understanding and strength you are showing that you HAVE NOT been to Christ.

Galatians 3:23-25

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

The law brings us to Christ. After we come to Christ something happens where the law is no longer beneficial to us.

Like a marathon runner who has won the gold medal. The gold medal was the goal all along. He has received the most that he will ever receive for running a marathon. There is nothing left for him to try and prove or gain.

Like a slave who has been a slave their whole life. Then one day they are freed. But they don't know how to be free because they have never been free. So they revert back to their slave habits. Its easy to do. But we aren't called to slavery. We are called to Righteousness. Not performance based righteousness but Real Righteousness that is the Gift of God.

This is pretty simple stuff. Christianity 101.

If the 10 commandments had any power to make you righteous or good then I would be all for it. But the only power the 10 commandments have is to bring you to the One who has Power and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.

But if you continue in the error of your thinking that YOU must do the work of the 10 commandments and your work is 'good enough' then you deny the power that is contained in those commandments.

hello & welcome to CC :)
you got me a bit twisted there.. let me pull a bit and see if it straightens out:

what i'm saying is the same thing that is written in Romans 6-8

we were immersed in Christ, and therefore immersed into His death. we have died.
no one who has died is subject anymore to law - just as our cat has died and there is no more penalty for him and there is no more judgement of him by any law that regards the flesh.
none of our "
house rules" for Boris had to be repealed or abolished or broken to accomplish this. there is another way for Boris to become free; it doesn't require anarchy, as has been constantly accused. it is a perfect way, and it is the way of salvation.

Boris yet lives, and Boris is free - it is for those who have not become free as he has, that the the laws of our house still stand to judge them. our cat Blaise is still subject to "
no grrs and hisses at Tiger, no eating birds inside the house, dont' scratch the couch, use the litterbox etc etc" -- because our cat Blaise is still in the flesh. not so with Boris

whoever is in Christ lives by the Spirit, and obeys by the Spirit, not the letter. He made a perfect way, and it is for freedom He has made us free!! :)

no one here knows whether i keep the sabbath or if i reject covetousness or if i do not set other gods before the LORD or if i do not commit adultery --- but i am constantly accused of all these things because i proclaim the gospel of Christ crucified and risen, which frees us from condemnation
Thank You for clarifying for me. I understand perfectly what you are saying here. It is more important that you truly worship God with your heart than what day of the week you do it on is what I'm saying. Worship in the spirit, not according to appearance to what others think you should do, is what God wants.

He would have mercy from us not sacrifices.

Passover, Feast of Unleavened bread, His Sabbath that He created for man, etc.. These are God's Righteousness.
you left out new moon festival.

it's right there in Colossians, where you say Paul is actually instructing us to keep dietary laws, feasts and sabbaths -- and also new moon festivals.

it's right there where the prophet says "from one new moon to another, from one sabbath to another"

so why will no one tell me how i am to keep it? people are ready to tell me i am condemned - despite my faith in Christ - if i don't observe it. but no one is ready to tell me how to observe it?

i've been asking for months, and no one replies. :(

you leave me out

The scriptures are there for all to see. If you chose to ignore them and the context that disagrees with your interpretation then they will stand as a witness agaisnt you come judgement day because they are not my words but God's Word and it is ONLY in God's Word that any of us have LIFE through FAITH. I have no agenda to push except to share God's Word. It is given to the blind to have eyes to see and ears to hear and the lame to walk while those seeing see not and those hearing hear not and those walking walk not.

This is because spiritual things are spiritually discerned. They that be whole do not need the physician but those that are sick seek him. Many do not know this meaning. Who can know the mind of God? When there is no Word your lamp will go out.

Now Grandpa you are a funny one,

I love the scriptures thanks for sharing but where has Beta or anyone here in this thread or in any of CC ever said to you that we are saved by the works of Gods law?

We are saved by GRACE through FAITH and not of ourselves it is a Gift of GOD and NOT of WORKS lest anyman should boast.

Now if we are all in agreement then you have nothing to argue about now have you? If we all agree on the same thing then your argument you are trying to build does not exist because we are all in agreement that we are saved by Grace through FAITH and this is not of our own doing.

What we are talking about here however is SIN and how SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

SIN is the breaking of God's 10 Commandments (Romans 7:7: James 2:11: 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20)

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

WHAT HAS GOD GIVEN US GRACE FOR?

Roman 1
5,
By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name:

DO WE ABOLISH GOD'S LAW THROHGH FAITH?

Romans 3
31,
Do we then make void the law through faith? GOD FORBID: YES, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

We are only saved by God's GRACE through FAITH it is God's GIFT to us and there is nothing we can do to earn it. God's GRACE however is for OBEDIENCE to the FAITH and it is BY FAITH that God's ESTABLISHES His LAW in those who BELIEVE by LOVE

Romans 13
8,
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER FULFILLS THE LAW.

This is the NEW Covenant promise in those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD and the POWER of GOD to save a sinner from their SINS (Hebrew 8:10-12; Romans 1:16)

.................

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's Word that says God's 4th Commandment has now been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day.
