How do I get help?

Here are three lies that will stop you finding God’s help today:

  1. I don’t need help (I can help myself)
  2. I can’t get help (I’m helpless)
  3. God won’t help (I’m hopeless)

The gospel truth is that God promises to meet all your needs (see Matt 6:25, Php 4:19). Believe it! Come boldly to his throne of grace knowing that your heavenly Father loves to help.

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you. (Deu 33:26)

Who get’s helped? Answer: Those who ask for help. So ask. Don’t be like Adam who looked to his own flesh for help. See the God who rides across the heavens to help you. Bring your needs to him.
Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. (Ps 63:7)

I am saddened by what I've found at CALVARY Chapel. And now I understand. There are videos I could post, but after watching Paul Smith, and what He has said about the new leadership, I can see it wasn't the fault of their late pastor.

I dont have the heart to post it.

Cant rep you yet, but well deserved.

I wrote a poem about returning to the garden of Eden, and then David Crowder recently came out with a song about it.

Everything is supplied to us in our garden. Ellis is right. Father wants to supply it all, for He's a good good Father. Another song. :)

And two swords to guard the way

Why even memorize the scriptures.
Yes, it is imperative that we memorize Scripture, and here is why:

1. That we might mature in Christ.

2. That we might not sin against God and use the Sword of the Spirit against evil forces.

3. That we might share the truth of God with others, while rebuking error and false doctrine.

4. That we might proclaim the Gospel to the lost using the Word of God.

5. That we might disciples new believers.

As far as obtaining things from God, we are to make all of our requests know unto God through prayer. If He wills it He grants it. If not, we move on.

Now then,
Peculiar number 2 in considering the specifics of royal torah (law/truth).
Thankyou for the reminder.
Yet this moedim is something like Mark those who use dispute with guile (deception).

God is a father, not a genie. We are His slaves, He is not ours. The Bible says that those who try to get rich will not go unpunished. If you have status sysmbols- that is your god- and you are betraying the real God- which is idolatry. Whoever prays to God to help them commit sin, and thinks that He does help them, is in for a rude awakening.

I don’t think it’s wrong to have things, but it’s wrong to have expensive extravagant things. Micheal Jackson once spent millions on a vase, and that was just one of his purchases. What does that say to a poor person? “A pot to hold my flowers is far more important than you are.” We don’t need more than adequate.

There is no magical powers to spoken words.
The power of God is in the Word of God.
Speaking the Word of God releases the power of God.
If you are born again, then it was done BY the word of God.

Psa 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Even the angels listen to those who speak God's word.
Our words are nothing without the Spirit of God who gives them life and power.
It is not us doing the work, but the Spirit of God who satisfies our mouths with good things by creating the fruit of our lips.
