Hi PS,
Yes that is correct, and it is the Lord's Day as Matt 12:8 says it is because he made it.
He made every day, and if I made seven of something, I would be saying they were all mine.
Hi PS,
Yes that is correct, and it is the Lord's Day as Matt 12:8 says it is because he made it.
He made every day, and if I made seven of something, I would be saying they were all mine.
and the Creator of the days only said one of the weekly days was set apart:
Genesis 2:1-3, “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array. And in the seventh day the Mighty One completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And the Mighty One blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which the Mighty One in creating had made.”
He made every day, and if I made seven of something, I would be saying they were all mine.
Hi PS,
Yes he made everyday but as Hiz pointed out already he BLESSED and made HOLY the 7th day of the week as a memorial of CREATION for all mankind. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath day and has commanded His people to keep the Lord's Day as a Holy day as a reminder that we worship the ONLY true God of creation.
Genesis 2
1, Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2, And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3, And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
he blessed it and made it a Holy day for mankind..........
Mark 2
27, And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
he commands hie people to REMEMBER to keep His day a Holy day
Exodus 20
8, Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9, Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10, But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY?>
11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
God's 7th day Sabbath is the Lord's Day. He made it for all mankind and made it a Holy day and commands his people to keep it HOLY in rememberace that we worship the only true God of creation
Matthew 12:8
8, For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
......................
God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)
There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.
Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)
In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)
Hope this helps..
This rest was for all of Israel - servants and slaves as well as visitors. (David Guzik)
Ancient Rabbis taught that on the Sabbath, (David Guzik)
In observant Jewish homes today, (David Guzik)
Scripture says different, YHWH Himself says it is for Hebrew and Gentile alike
That Gentile had to live in Israel or/and to be circumcised.
Are you circumcised?
4. (Exo_20:8-11) The fourth commandment: Remember the Sabbath day.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Yes that is the 4th commandment
a. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy:
This rest was for all of Israel - servants and slaves as well as visitors.
i. This is an important principle that might be too easily passed over. Here God declared the essential humanity and dignity of women, slaves, and strangers, and said they had the same right to a day of rest as the free Israeli man. This was certainly a radical concept in the ancient world.
Well that is not true at all.
God's LAW is the standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and the KNOWLEDDGE of GOOD and EVIL in both the OLD and NEW Covenant (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). God's 4th commandment is one of the 10 commandments (Ex 20:8-11) how do you know what SIN is if you have no LAW. If there is no LAW there is then no knowledge of SIN. If you have no knowledge of SIN you have no need of a Saviour. If you have no need of a Saviour you have no need of salvation. If you have no salvation then you are lost and still in your SINS.
God's Israel in the New Covenant are those that BELIEVE the Word of God and FOLLOW it (Gal 3:16; 28; Romans 2:28-29; 9:6; 10:11-13; Col 3:11; Hebrews 8:10-12).
b. To keep it holy:
In their traditions, the Jewish people came to carefully quantify what they thought could and could not be done on the Sabbath day, in order to keep it holy.
i. For example, in Luk_6:1-2, in the mind of the Jewish leaders, the disciples were guilty of four violations of the Sabbath every time they took a bite of grain out in the field, because they reaped, threshed, winnowed, and prepared food.
ii. Ancient Rabbis taught that on the Sabbath, a man could not carry something in his right hand or in his left hand, across his chest or on his shoulder. But he could carry something with the back of his hand, his foot, his elbow, or in his ear, his hair, or in the hem of his shirt, or in his shoe or sandal. Or, on the Sabbath, you Israelites were forbidden to tie a knot - except, a woman could tie a knot in her girdle. So, if a bucket of water had to be raised from a well, an Israelite could not tie a rope to the bucket, but a woman could tie her girdle to the bucket and pull it up from the well.
iii. In observant Jewish homes today, one cannot turn on a light, a stove, or a switch on the Sabbath. It is forbidden to drive a certain distance or to make a telephone call - all carefully regulated by traditions seeking to spell out the law exactly.
Yes this is true the Religious leaders burdened the people with man made traditions that made the Sabbath a burden.
The Jews had placed so many restrictions and on the Sabbath that it had become a burden to the people (context is Matt 12:2; see also Matt 12:10; Mark 2:24; 3:2-4 Luke 6:2; 7-9; 13:10-16 etc .) Then in Matt 12:10-12 in the same chapter Jesus goes on to say it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath! Jesus came to teach us how to keep the Sabbath and it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath ( Mark 3:4; Luke 6:9 ) and is why Jesus says that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath (Mark 2:27). This is why God’s Word says If anyone is knowingly and wilfully breaking any of the 10 commandments, includin g the 7[SUP]th[/SUP] Day Sabbath you are deceiving yourself and not obeying or following God (James 2:8-12).
What did Jesus and the Apostles teach about the Sabbath in the New Testament……….
1. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)
2. Jesus made the Sabbath for all mankind (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)
3. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28)
4. If you do not believe and follow God you cannot enter His Sabbath rest (Hebrews 4)
5. It is one of God’s 10 commandments we break it we are guilty or breaking all (James 2:8-12)
6. Breaking it is sin (1 John 3:4)
7. God’s true followers keep it Holy as God commanded (Rev 14:12; Rev 22:14; Eze 20:20)
8. Jesus is our example and he kept the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; 1 Cor 11:1; Eph 5:1-21; Pet 2:20-22)
9. The Apostle kept the Sabbath (Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)
Jesus came to teach how to keep the Sabbath and said the Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath and it is lawful to do GOOD on the Sabbath.
c. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth:
God established the pattern for the Sabbath at the time of creation. When He rested from His works on the seventh day, God made the seventh day a day of rest from all our works (Gen_2:3). But the most important purpose of the Sabbath was to serve as a shadow of the rest we have in Jesus.
i. Some claim that Christians are required to keep the Sabbath today. But the New Testament makes it clear that Christians are not under obligation to observe a Sabbath day (Col_2:16-17 and Gal_4:9-11), because Jesus fulfilled the purpose and plan of the Sabbath for us and in us (Heb_4:9-11).
PS this only shows you have not read the OP here and the 200+ scriptures that disagree with your website sources interpretation of the scriptures. Please read the OP here and make your case with scripture if you disagree. No one has done so as yet. The scriptures in the OP clearly show that COL 2 and Gal are in reference to the annual festival sabbaths that have a different purpose to God's 4th commandment. The annual Sabbaths of Lev 23 could fall on any day of the week and are related to different annual festivals under the Old Covenant. These were shadows pointing to Jesus not God's 4th commandment which is one of the 10 that show what SIN and Righteousness is.
ii. Gal_4:10 tells us that Christians are not bound to observe days and months and seasons and years. The rest we enter into as Christians is something to experience every day, not just one day a week - the rest of knowing we don’t have to work to save ourselves, but our salvation is accomplished in Jesus (Heb_4:9-10).
Once again this scripture is reference to the Mosiac laws nailed to the cross not God's Law or the 4th commandment.
For example...
EZEKIEL 45 [17] And it shall be the prince's part to give BURNT OFFERINGS, and MEAT OFFERINGS, and DRINK OFFERINGS, in the FEASTS, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the SABBATH(S), in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.
Please read the OP before posting any materials from other websites.
iii. The Sabbath commanded here and observed by Israel was a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ (Col_2:16-17). We have a rest in Jesus that is ours to live in every day. Therefore, since the shadow of the Sabbath is fulfilled in Jesus, we are free to keep any day - or no day - as a Sabbath after the custom of ancient Israel.
iv. However, though we are free from the legal obligation of the Sabbath, we dare not ignore the importance of a day of rest - God has built us so that we need one. Like a car that needs regular maintenance, we need regular rest - or we will not “wear” well. Some people are like high mileage cars that haven’t been maintained well, and it shows.
Well this statement has no truth in it whatsoever and only shows the author does not know what the Old covenant is. How can God's Sabbath be a Shadow when it is not a part of the Mosiac laws written in the book and a part of God's 10 commandments? A Shadow law is a law that is temporary and part of an UNFINISHED WORK pointing to something to come. How can the Sabbath be a shadow law when it is part of the FINISHED work of creation given BEFORE SIN entered into the World?
Genesis 3
1,Thus the heavens and the earth were FINISHED, and all the host of them.
2, And on the seventh day God ENDED his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3, And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

v. Some Christians are also dogmatic about observing Saturday as the Sabbath as opposed to Sunday.
But because we are free to regard all days as given to God, it makes no difference. But in some ways, Sunday is more appropriate; being the day Jesus rose from the dead (Mar_16:9), and first met with His disciples (Joh_20:19), and a day when Christians gathered for fellowship (Act_20:7 and 1Co_16:2). Under Law, men worked towards God’s rest; but after Jesus’ finished work on the cross, the believer enters into rest and goes from that rest out to work.
Well once again unfortunately your website reference is not true at all. None of the scritpures that are quoted above say that God's 4th commandment is abolished and we are now commanded to keep sunday as a Holy day do they?IF they do not who should we believe God or man?
Now be careful here God's Sabbath commandment is the 4th commandment of the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments give us a knowledge of SIN. James 2:8-12says if we break one of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of breaking them all in SIN and need to seek him in REPENTANCE and FORGIVENESS as those who KNOWINGLY practice SIN will NOT enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Hebrews 10:27-27)
vi. But we are also commanded to work six days.
“He who idles his time away in the six days is equally culpable in the sight of God as he who works on the seventh.” (Clarke) Many Christians should give more “leisure time” to the work of the LORD. Every Christian should have a deliberate was to serve God and advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Please respect the thread here and read the OP here before pasting articles from other websites here thanks. It seems you have not read it.
I'm not a Jew. You do as you like.
I don't need any help. Celestial time is not earth time. What you have is a man-made tradition.
Inward and outward, yes.
Rom 2:29
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Good question LoveGodForever.Absolutely, we are his temple.
1 Cor 3
16,Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17,If any mandefile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.DEFILE the temple of GOD?
We are God's temple he dwell in us and we are to be HOLY (without SIN). If any man DEFILE the temple of God (our bodies) you will be DESTROYED. What does it mean to
Free indeed! Amen brother!Matthew 15
19,For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.<SINFUL THOUGHTS of breaking God's COMMANDMENTS in your thoughts MIND>20,THESE ARE THE THINGS WHICH DEFILE A MAN: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Let's put it all together.....
We are God's temple not made with hands. God wants to dwell in us and walk in US through HIS Spirit (Romans 8:1-4). God wants us to be HOLY (without SIN) in the HOLY PLACE (The mind; throughts and feelings). IF WE DEFILE God's TEMPLE by BRAKING HIS COMMANDMENTS God will Destroy the TEMPLE. (THOSE WHO SIN against HIM)
This is why it is written Truly, truly I say unto you unless a man is BORN AGAIN he cannot see the KINGDOM of HEAVEN. Cannot see means cannot know or cannot enter into God's Kingdom.
SIN will keep all who practice is OUT of God's KINGDOM. God's LAW written on the HEART to LOVE is the NEW Covenant because LOVE is the fulfilling of God's LAW through FAITH to those who WALK in HIS SPIRIT. (Romans 13:8-10)
...........................
If we brake any of God's commandments it is showing we do not LOVE God or our fellow man...
Thie is why Jesus says....... If you LOVE me keep my COMMANDMENTS (John 14:15;15:10)
In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)
Now that you have agreed with me do you now understand that LOVE in the New Covenant is God fulfilling his LAW in us to free us from SIN so that we are now free to LOVE and Follow him?
Exactly. Either you have physical circumcision and literal weekly Sabbath or you have spiritual circumcision and spiritual Sabbath. Therefore, do not invent heretical mixture of both.
If you are physically circumcised, think of the words of Paul:
"If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?"
Thanks.
stop the tradition and accept what the Creator says.
Well that is not true my friend. Seems you have your OLD Covenant laws mixed up. Try reading the OP.

All done away with.COLOSSIANS 2:14-17 PART 1/2 THE REAL TRUTH
The above scripture is used by the “many” to distance themselves from Gods weekly Sabbath day of the 4th commandment. This is for those that may be interested in learning the real meaning of the scriptures and not that of those leading others to break the commandments of God to follow the traditions and teachings of man over the Word of God. So, what is Col. 2{16} really talking about.?
Let's use the scriptures interpret scripture.............................
COL. 2 [16] Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an HOLYDAY, or of the NEW MOON, or of the SABBATH DAY(S) <plural>:
EZEKIEL 45 [17] And it shall be the prince's part to give BURNT OFFERINGS, and MEAT OFFERINGS, and DRINK OFFERINGS, in the FEASTS, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the SABBATH(S), in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.
Here’s a scripture, same exact order as Col 2{16}, meat, drink, holy days (feast days), new moons, Sabbath(s). No doubt what so ever these 2 scriptures are speaking of the same thing. See how that on those days there was a sin offering made. The blood of Christ is now that offering. Col.2 and Ezekiel 45 are simply speaking of the meat and drink offerings which were written in the Mosaic law contained within the ordinances which were to take place on Gods annual festivals, new moons and His annual ceremonial Sabbath days and Holy convocations (Leviticus 23).
HEBREWS 13 [9] Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be ESTABLISHED WITH GRACE; NOT WITH MEATS, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. [10] We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. [11] For THE BODIES OF THOSE BEASTS, WHOSE BLOOD is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. [12] WHEREFORE JESUS ALSO, THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY THE PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN BLOOD, suffered without the gate.
But now we are no longer under the Mosaic laws concerning the meat and drink offerings of Gods holy days, new moons and annual festival sabbaths and holy convocations. Jesus fulfilled the law. We are now under grace.
JOHN 6 [53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For MY FLESH IS MEAT INDEED, and MY BLOOD IS DRINK INDEED.
When we let scripture interpret scripture it’s very clear what Col.2 is speaking about. The meat and drink offerings of those days are no longer to be kept and no one is to judge you for not keeping them because they were shadows pointing to Jesus.
NUMBERS 28 [9] And on the Sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a MEAT OFFERING, mingled with oil, and the DRINK OFFERING thereof: [10] This is the burnt offering of EVERY SABBATH, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
There’s the meat and drink offerings for the monthly and annual festival sabbath days that Col.2 [16] was speaking of. This was not a weekly requirement for the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] commandment of God’s Law (Exodus 20:8-11)
EZEKIEL 46 [6] And in the day of the NEW MOON it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish. [7] And he shall prepare a MEAT OFFERING, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
The meat offering for the new moon that was spoken of in Col.2 [16].
LEVITICUS 23 [4] These are THE FEASTS OF THE LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. [5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is THE LORD'S PASSOVER. [6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread…… [13] And the MEAT OFFERING thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savour: and the DRINK OFFERING thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
In all the feast days (holy days) meat and drink offerings were written into the laws of commandments contained in the ordinances. The above scripture points out the holy day of Passover when Jesus was crucified.
HEBREWS 9 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.... [9] WHICH WAS A FIGURE for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Once again, the 1st covenant had ordinances which stood only in meat and drinks which were a figure! A shadow!
EPH.2 [15] HAVING ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, even the LAW OF COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;[16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
COL. 2 [13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; [14] BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
ISAIAH 24 [5] The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, CHANGED THE ORDINANCE, broken the everlasting covenant.[6] Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
But in this “Day of the Lord” scripture it seems the many will go on believing what they’ve been taught by their sunday mourning pulpiteers. They will continue to believe the commandments mentioned in Eph.2 and Col. 2 are the 10 commandments and not the law of commandments contained in the ordinances
The “many” claim that the sabbath was the shadow of Christ. But what do the scriptures say
COL.2 [14] BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;[15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.[16] Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:[17] WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; but the body is of Christ.
To be continued...................
