David was free to have multiple wives, Because of grace, it does not mean he profited from it. He actually as they all did, suffered from it.

But his eternity had nothing to do with him having multiple wives. Or committing murder or adultry.

it had to do with his FAITH.
David was called a man after God's own heart not for his actions but for his faith in God!!

AMEN...anyone who attempts to make these people saved and then lost is as blind as a bat lacking echo location.....NEVER KNEW THEM is clear...they were never saved.
Amen brother amen!

I have a friend that goes to a church believing that when you sin you have lost being saved until you confess your sin to God and ask for forgiveness. They also believe that if a person accepts Christ and through no fault of their own was killed in an accident before the scheduled baptism occured their salvation doesn't happen. I totally reject these concepts.

Yes works are like filthy rags. Yes we seek to be like Jesus.
Praise him.

He does see our hearts and our works.
Works will be tested and some will not be filthy rags and some will but we will be saved on account of Jesus.

One thing I would encourage us to remember is that not all works are filthy rags.
In fact to me (open to discussion here)

He is in fact pleased with us.
He said of Jesus "This is my son with whom I am well pleased"

We are his children with whom he is well pleased with.

From my experience when I done what is right he says to me "Well done now let's keep walking together"

When I have done wrong and fess up he is also pleased.

Cause he can work in us.

We need to remember he loves us as much as he loves Jesus.
Jesus said it himself.

So what I'm trying to say here is that it's not wrong to come before God and thank him that today we walked like he had asked us to, whatever ever it may be.

When we thank him then he says "You are my child with we whom I am well pleased"

Hope I make sure sense

Isaiah 64:6 says it is our self righteous works that are as filthy rags.

Isaiah 64:6 says it is our self righteous works that are as filthy rags.

Yes our self righteous works mean diddly squat.

But his righteous works through us means everything.

It truly humbles me that he would use someone like me but he does.
For that I thank him. Still got no idea why he would use me but he does.

God only uses those who have perfect love, humility and obedience in their heart.

Imagine a standoff at the ok correl.

I turn up with a water pistol and point it. Then my opponent unveils a canon.

Bummer I'm stuffed.

Then my opponent says I will give you my canon, go shoot that.

Not saying God is my opponent but i hope you get my gist.

People like phart are reasons why people leave the faith. Telling me i purposely watch nekkid ppl and porn because of game of thrones just shows what he is by heart.
I am ashamed that this man is calling himself a christian. If i knew him in the past i wouldn't have turned to Christ most likely.
I am disgusted

Now THAT sickens me...and not a lot does

People have a misconstrued concept on these things, and that's where the Holy Spirit will come into play....IF they listen and pay attention to Him and what He has to say to your heart. Some people are so quick to judge, but they are not a judge....ONLY GOD is the righteous Judge, and He has the final say, not man. Tune people out like that, their quick to point the finger, but 3 are pointing back at them

Don't have a downer.

We often find that people will focus on what they struggled with and try to convey how bad it is. They do this because they know how much it messed with their own life.

So in a sense they are trying to help even if they don't convey it properly.

Like many people on this thread.

I learned a very long time ago, not to let people move me, especially fellow Christian people.

I also learned that the only predictable thing about Christian People is their unpredictability

And there you have it folks. We can watch naked people performing explicit sex acts on each other after all. Thank you for enlightening us.
You ignore we all sin and come short of the glory of God.
In the Old Testament God required yearly sacrifices to remove the penalty of sin.
The asked for sacrifice was a lamb without blemish.
Jesus came and never sinned thus being the Lamb of God without blemish!!
All we have to do is accept that sacrifice and ask forgiveness for our sins.

Read Romans 7 especially starting at verse 14.

You disgust me.

Discernment is not judgement, but many never discern they judge.

John 5:22-23
[SUP]22 [/SUP]For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, [SUP]23 [/SUP]so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

So this and the fact grace abounds over sin then gives people license or an excuse to sin? We are not sinless or perfect, but we are not helpless over sin either.

Read Romans 6, especially starting at verse 1 and then stop at 23.

Pharisee alert, Pharisse alert.

Such thoughts sicken me. Legalists to the core.

I was once told because I didn't pray in tongues it was evidence I wasn't saved.

I carried that lie for 17 years.
Robbed me of the joy of my salvation.

I think most in here know I don't often get angry but when I do it's because of the crap that you posted that burdens people and robs them off the joy of their salvation.

I apologize this happened to you.

I don't care how many times I error, I will still seek to do what is right beofre Yah with every bit of strength and mercy He has granted me.

So by using the life He has given me, the mercy He has given me and the understadning He has given me to do His will, and me wanting do do HIS WILL im not focusing on HIm... odd doctrine you have there.

I think it is a desire to not want any responsibility for ones own actions so there is a need to say anyone seeking to do His will is focusing on self.
Amen. God bless you bro.

Jude 1:19 These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the spirit.

Are you saying, that,
it doesn't matter how much we sin?
Is sinning less, less important?
We could quite easily say, we sin less,
rather than any need to say, we are sinless,
neither in self-defeat saying, we sin more or less.
