Who said this? I did not say this or even hint at this,
I said some of the people paul was speaking to were not saved. (the ones who attempted to recieve the spirit by the worlds of the law) Thats why he wrote the letter to begin with.
we are foolish if we think everyone in the churches paul wrote to were saved.
Faith into Christ = eternal salvation without works embellishing the salvation already possessed by faith

The Galatians had received the Spirit. They were Christian. They were saved.
Even though they were being deceived into going back under the law, they were saved by their faith in Jesus Christ.
(I've never heard anyone suggest the Galatians were not saved...)
I am surprised you ask that question.....the power is in the message....and if the message is false there is no power.....how is that too difficult to understand....??
Before you said to have lack of faith/doubt/mistrust was not denying Him. Now you seem to me to be saying to have that, then they ARE denying Him...this is how I comprehend what you are saying.
Paul wrote the letter to correct their doctrine.
Rom 1:

The seven church epistles (Romans through Thessalonians) were written to Christians (saved believers).

I am talking about the gospel. Not in everyday living.
I am also talking about having real faith, vs having no faith at all.
That's true.
But are you claiming that people who believe works are required are automatically not saved?

That is describing what the primary Characteristics of a born again Believer's new life IN CHRIST will be like AFTER HE is SAVED when he is born again. Perhaps, you do not know this, but the human spirit after it is birthed into Eternal Life; THINKS in tune with the will of GOD, because of the Holy Spirit being present in the born again Believer. Then AFTER WE ARE SAVED, we hunger for the WORD, because that new eternally alive human spirit, FEEDS on the WORD of GOD. That is what the Holy Spirit uses to grow the new born again human spirit, and to MATURE IT. Yes we struggle at first, because the will of the flesh is at war with the will of the Human Spirit. But as that human spirit MATURES, it will become more and more DOMINANT over the will of the Flesh. That is the lifelong process of Sanctification of the FLESH, but SALVATION was a DONE DEAL the very moment we believed to the point of willingly, out of LOVE, receiving Jesus as LORD (which means Master).

Is that a permanent condition of Righteousness and Salvation in the eyes of GOD?

If they have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and believed in their heart that God raised him from the dead, they shall be saved, period. (Rom 10:9)
To add to this we need a little context of the times. These were not large buildings filled with lots of seats, where you would be able to find business, or relationships or the numerous other things that folks find and look for in our churches today.
These were small gatherings of mostly recently converted Jews and some gentiles that were outcast from their communities as a result of their new beliefs. This would lead to loss of stature, lively hood, business and often times family. And sometimes fear for their lives. Not an easy road to travel, not something one would enter into lightly.
Paul preached a Gospel of grace that was also looked down upon by the struggling early church in Jerusalem, he was struggling with that church also, having arguments with James and Peter in reference to their beliefs on the law and righteousness, dietary law and circumcision. At one point he stated that they added nothing toward his own faith, (we are talking about the Apostles now)
Remember, these folks were devout Jews that had recently been through some crazy ordeal and were struggling with the grace of God, just like we do today. The early church did NOT have it all together, they were quite fractured in fact.
Folks try to reconcile the teachings of James and Peter, with the teachings of Paul, but they fought about this same issue back then amongst themselves. They were trying to figure this thing out themselves for crying out loud. My belief is that God had these struggles documented so that we could see these struggles and disagreements and come to Holy Spirit for answers.
Anyway, that is my long winded way of saying really nothing other than we cannot compare today's pew warmers with the struggles of the early churches and the doctrinal differences they all had..
Yes, if one is saved and then delves into a life living under the law, they are still saved. Salvation isn't the issue for them, just life really. Not a whole lot of rest and peace in trying to prove yourself righteous.
Hi E-g, ask any person who adds works to their salvation; "can you lose your salvation", and they will say "yes." It is their lack of assurance that motivates them to add works to the free gift of God, our salvation.
