Is he taking the credit for being sinless? From what I've seen he's been boasting of the new birth, so how can you say he is being self righteous?
His claim of being sinless aside, why is a successful Christian life (soil #4 in the Parable of the Sower) always condemned as being self righteous? Why is it almost universally accepted in the church that it is impossible to not be in bondage to sin? I did not say be sinless, I said not be in bondage to sin. Why is that? There is something very wrong with the church these days, folks. Good is bad, right is wrong, light is dark...

I don't believe he is 100% sinless, but perhaps the church is suffering from a terminal case of envy and jealousy.
"...we should love one another; 12not as Cain, who was of the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s were righteous." (1 John 3:11-12 NASB)
It seems if you want to stir up animosity and hatred in the church just boast in Christ about the success he has given you by the Holy Spirit over sin. But if you lament how burdened and overcome and defeated you are by sin you will be accepted with open loving arms. Something's terribly wrong here, folks.

In addition to teaching that we must be water baptized to be saved and that our salvation will be determined by "every deed done in our body," he teaches that he has remained sinless since conversion.
I don't believe he is 100% sinless either and neither does God (1 John 1:8-10). That is my point. No need to add straw man arguments to what I said.
Which is sadder? Thinking you're sinless or allowing someone to stay here who repeatedly makes those claims?
Sounds so true until examined. Many have given testimonies of being set free from drugs, alcohol, adultery &c. Many have witnessed this numerous times without there ever being any animosity directed at the person. I've yet to see anyone in your above scenario, instead all I've witnessed is praise and joy from others for the person.
Just love how you make up hypotheses as if they are gospel truth. Makes sense though since your gospel is errant.
The church does and should welcome such persons with open arms of acceptance. Even if they profess Christ. That is why we are called "ministers of the soul."
On the other hand, neo-Pharisees, who believe they don't sin, which is contrary to biblical truth? They're a stench in the eyes of God, self-righteousness is repugnant to all those converted and even to those otherwise.
Your usage of the Cain and Abel scenario is of interest - you spend and exorbitant amount of time attempting to make sheep into wolves, and attempting to sift wheat from wheat. Thus your usage of Cain and Abel here appears to represent some on here as lost (Cain) and most likely yourself as being Abel.

If one was completely sinless, I'd think that he would be changed from mortal to immortal. Then the world would flock to him for all needs.
To me the greatest lie about this is not needing the body of Christ. It's making one the head, and not a member.
And I believe it's not sins as we normally define them, but faults of being human. Like quick in getting angry. Some are more sensitive to these things then others, and we are instructed to cover one then.
In posting all these warnings rather than the promises that build ones faith, it seems to me that these are accusations rather than a help and answers to a need.
They must believe we all are secret boozers, fornicators, committing adultery right and left.
