What I really appreciate, and I want to thank you for, is your decision to be so open.

I wonder which pearls you feel I am trampling on, and how I am attacking people?

Let us look at scripture.
And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
2 Thess 3:13

So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us.
3 John 1:10

Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.
James 4:13-16

Now our standing before the Lord is merely as servants, His children, all equal and worthy
of His grace, which He lavishes on us.

Now please tell me my friends, where is my evil, wickedness etc. that you so want to say
I am full of. If I am following Jesus and His word, what is your argument?

Or are you really the condemner whose nature is to find fault and undermine, and destroy
the people of God, yet he becomes an instrument of God to help refine their love for one
another and to bring glory to Christ our Saviour. For nothing can separate us from the love
of God if we follow Him. Halleluyah.
Actually you just validated my point sir

We are guarding the true gospel from the brethren that Paul called false with everything we have!
Acts 20:28 - Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

Glutton for punishment I guess....maybe hopeful he will open his eyes to the truth.
I know the truth. It appears you who grew up in the church, went to bible school and
should be teaching from scripture by now have walked away.

If you do not know the Holiness of Christ in your life, where has your life been.
Baby christians know this reality in their lives. What discourages them so much is how
weak the flesh is to go back to the old ways.

This is why discipline, training, persevearance, faithfulness, love, hope as all gifts of
the Holy Spirit and He calls us to walk, rejoicing and knowing the victory of the Son
in our daily lives.

It appears many have lost this saltiness and so will be thrown away as Jesus said,

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

I have no clue what you are talking about.

What matters to me is to run after my Saviour, because I love Him and His ways, for life
glory and everything grow in His path and way.

I invite you to follow also and learn how obeying His commands with the Holy Spirit bring
you into new life. It is a mystery how we get so involved in hurts and sin, but when our
Lord comes heals and calls to follow, we find we are a new creation, made for the glory of
the King. Amen.

Matthew 28

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

we are in need of His salvation to go on in our life, as long as we live in this body.
Here is the core problem.

We are not in need of salvation, as long as we live in this body rather we are saved into eternity.

We are dead, literally without communion with the King, from now to eternity.
This dependency is the breadth of life itself.

We are a branch in the vine, and gain our sustenance from the vine and can do nothing
apart from the vine, because we are the branches within the Kingdom.

What you are describing is a view we are actually not one with God, just because of our
fallen flesh do we need saving. With a new body, we can carry on as independant individuals
going our own way.

The truth is so different. We are separate from God as one individual is separate from another,
but we are one with Him in intention, love, hope, life and goals.

But I get the feeling this is not the oneness certain believers have with God, because His word
does not dwell richly in their hearts. Or to quote someone, the sermon on the mount rather than
being the breadth of life to them, is just continual condemnation.

This speaks the truth of where we are with Christ our Lord.

It is privilege to hear Christs words as fresh today as when they were first spoken to His disciples,
because the message of purity, holiness and love is as needed today as it was then.

Brothers and sisters in Christ this is our calling

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Heb 12:14

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

ow eg is speaking his version of nonsense. It is the use of abuse against someone,
without addressing the issues. He is literally the example of saying sin cannot be resolved.
Can’t be resolved by a work you or any man could do... as a sign you have the Holy Spirit. . That would be following the apostate Jews .They required a sign before they would believe rather than walking by the faith of God that comes from hearing His voice through His scriptures. Scripture was of no effect to them .

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me (Not of your own selves)

The one eternal wage of sin is resolved by one work of Christ’s faith as a labor of His love that works in the believer to both will and perform the good purpose of God. (imputed righteousness )

The law of grace remains un-touched. Judging the law because some think others use it as a license to sin does not make the grace of God without effect .It simply does despite to the Spirit of grace. Christ will do the sorting out on the last days.

Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

We live by the Spirit of grace as a work of Christ ‘s faith working in us in us. and do not draw back and crucify him over and over to public shame as if one demonstration to show all the work is finished was not enough.

Now the just shall live by faith( Christ’s that comes from hearing God) but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the “saving of the soul”. Heb 10:38

Get under the law of grace and not judge it. It faithfully works to the “saving of the soul”..

Jesus praised the pharisees for their teaching and following righteousness.
He condemned their hypocracy in not doing what they taught.
He never praised men who do despite to His Spirit of grace. He said I never knew you who work iniquity. Christ is the one we are to follow after not the Pharisees’ with Sadducees. They crucified Christ.

I don't come in here very often, and here's the reason why: character assassination.
If you notice the above post, the writer is talking specifically about DC.
Now, look below, and see what DC and his partners did with it:

How did we get to this? Why did DC pull the veterans into this when they weren't even mentioned?
One twists the whole thing to slander PeterJens, and another comes in crying "Ban him"!
Again, where did these invisible "others" come from?

Now, we see PeterJens being called a false teacher, a veteran hater, and he needs to be banned. Just because he called the owner of the thread out.
Character assassination, plain and simple.
This seems to be a habit in this thread. Someone needs to notice the abuse of power in this thread, and the lack of discipline to keep it decent and in order.
If anyone's dissing the veterans, it's those that are using them as a ploy to bash a fellow CC member for their pleasure.
I'm out of my element here, but something needed to be said.
Are you blind.....re-read his post and then speak truth...he has on more than one occasion mouthed about my military service as well as others....and funny thing...one of his own buddies and countrymen was the one who asked for me to put my Marine pic back up....

Your words say it's not okay, but your actions say it doesn't matter.
Before you accuse someone of lying, go look in the mirror.
My statement was valid....and you just by default called good evil and evil good.....congrats! I have never promoted living a lifestyle of sin....so...what does that make you..............see proverbs 6, at least 1 or 2 fit you by your own words

Keep the Law?
Have you changed the subject here?
I thought you were defending faith without obedience.
You know, claiming you are Christian but not really following His orders.

BTW, if you don't think Jesus was "good", you are the one who will be surprised.
As we have been enabled to be "in" Christ now, thanks be to God, so we too can be "good" all the time.
Another false post....see Proverbs 6....and Jesus was clear in his words.........maybe read them slower and pray for understanding.

If obedience to God is wicked, poisonous, and leads to despair, what would you call a doctrine that advocates sin, while lying about faith in Christ?
Those that are clamoring for a way to please God, rejoice that God has made it possible.
No but lying and misrepresenting what people say fits the bill......man you just cannot stay away from Proverbs 6 hey.......

I wish you had proceeded with the verses from John about that seed..."Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." (1 John 3:9)
See the thread.....it is the spirit that is born of incorruptible seed that does not sin.......

I have wondered at this wind up tactic.

So a believer is going along, and someone who he imagines is a friend, sends a dart of
accusation and faith undermining content. They continue this until the victim finally gets
annoyed. Then they say, aha, you were not so really spiritual after all, got you.

Who does this? Does this bring glory to Christ and build others up, or is it just a way of
seeing the heart of the people one is facing?

The tactic works as long as you face people who do not know Christ that well, and cannot
say, God bless you, my friend, because whatever is driving you, it is not out of love or the
grace of Christ through the cross.

By the way the reason I touched on the military issue, is because dc has an unusual sensitivity
to this, and loves to picture himself as the faithful soldier fighting the hordes of evil believers who
populate the church, who he wishes to expose and expel.

Christs ways are simple. If you do not abide in the vine you will wither and die.
And if these brothers really annoy you, pray for them, lift them before the King and leave them there
because whatever is driving them it will continue to do so until they bow before the King.

I remember something that struck me about mourning. For some it is the most consistent feeling they
have ever felt, and do not understand why it is so strong. It then comes to define them for the rest
of their lives.

So I wonder if this is what defines some here. Rather than it being Christ it is actually their military
experiences as a youngster, which tells you more than I need to about how deeply they see the cross
and their walk above these emotionally defining experiences.

For me Christ defines the high points of who I am, no matter where I have gone and done, He is the
best.

No but lying and misrepresenting what people say fits the bill......man you just cannot stay away from Proverbs 6 hey.......
This reminds me of a member who right after a post claimed it said something different than
it actually did.

This is how strong the delusion is among some here.
People cannot lie about one post below, but somehow some members actually manage to do this.
It does make you wonder both the intelligence and the value of this media.

I try in the Lord to represent people fairly, and to put them in the light of truth.
This is very different from people who flatter and whose intention is to please and not show
what is sin and what is of the Lord.

As I have so many times repeated, the sermon on the mount divides most clearly those who
follow Christ and those who belong to something else.

What one has here is a group who claim that denying Christs words in the true gospel while
desiring to condemn and accuse of sin believers who with integrity witness to the King and
what others are teaching.

What is telling even if they were lying, they do not even bat an eyelid, because all their sin
is already forgiven so no offence to the Lord has been done in their eyes. So lost are they
this is their bread and butter.

Justified FREELY by his GRACE and saved by faith....amen....!

Our "obedience" is to Christ's Gospel. For which I am NOT ashamed, and are saved.

The Holy Spirit will reveal sins and behaviors that we should turn from. AND give power to enact that change, NOT only in the negative sense of abandoning sin, but in the positive sense of doing good works.

Your post is really quite slanderous. NO ONE has advocated sinning. We are saying that it is Chris't finished work, and His Grace extended to us, that will perfect us.

With YOUR doctrine, what do you tell yourself when you do sin? Do you deceive yourself that you do not sin? This is truly a slap in the face to God and His PERFECT standard. Which is to NEVER sin.

Before salvation, there wasn't much inner disgust or groaning in my life when I planned ways to sin, and carried them out. Now, when I commit a sin, I HATE it, BUT I don't let the devil get a foothold with guilt. I confess my sin, which means to agree with God that it was wrong, and accept the forgiveness He has provided to me through His Son.

It is precisely THAT Grace that is effective in stopping a sinful activity, NOT TRYING MY HARDEST TO NEVER DO IT AGAIN!!

THAT IS what will lead to despair if that sin happens again.

Please do not harden your heart to His incredible Grace, Love, and Mercy.

This is such a strong statement.

It is like being part of the mafia, and finally waking up and walking away.

Yes they are loyal to their own, but cross them and you are dead.

If a believer has come out of a group where their ethic is not not confront sin as poison
that destroys all it touches, the meaning is they are advocating sinning is not a problem.

Another way of expressing this is advocating sinning.

The problem with sin, is you are either against it, or you are a slave to it.
There is no middle ground, which is what Paul is saying.

We cannot be slaves to two masters.
