I respectfully disagree. The entire bible is the gospel of Christ.. :)

OK, LOL, so the Prophets who reveal the truth about Christ is in the OT, their Words describing the true Jesus is in the OT.

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

But the OT is not the Gospel of Christ.

Well I won't call you a liar, but I will respectfully disagree.

This passage of scripture is about "Stephen being Martyred", and now you have turned it into, a conspiracy of who murdered Stephen? "members of the Sanhedrin" and "the Synagogue of Libertines."

Quote: Studyman' point; "The pagans didn't murder Stephen, it was the God of Abraham preaching church of that day."

Point of this passage: "One man full of the Holy Spirit faces a gallery of men full of hate."

"Your bible messages are "off point" and "your insults" are worrisome."

The insults:

Quote: Studyman,

I understand how difficult it is to be corrected, most men are just too prideful to allow God's Word to humble them.

But to say that Paul isn't saying that the righteousness of God is revealed to us from "Within" the Gospel of Christ is to completely ignore this and many other scriptures of the Bible.

But I understand if you can't accept this Biblical truth, church tradition is a powerful thing.

("Who's biblical truth, yours).

......................................................................................................................

Stephen's Martyrdom

Justin Martyr, beheaded for the faith in A.D. 165 said, "The more we are persecuted, the more do others in ever increasing numbers embrace the faith and become worshippers of God through the name of Jesus" (Dialogue with Trypho 110). Contrast the impact of modern-day martyrs for other causes. Who remembers what Che Guevara stood for? Luke's account of Stephen's death helps us understand the effect dying for the gospel has, and in so doing challenges us to accept its truth claims.

Stephen's stoning climaxes his witness and introduces an important turning point in the witness of the Hellenistic Jewish Christians of Jerusalem. The intensity and scope of persecution and the extent of witness both take quantum leaps.Stephen's Accusers Respond with Rage (7:54)

Stephen's indictment (7:51-53) so penetrates "uncircumcised hearts" that the Sanhedrin is furious (literally "sawn through in their hearts"; compare 5:33). They are "torn up" not with repentant sorrow for their sins but with seething anger against the preacher of repentance. They grind their teeth with such a hissing sound, such a hateful screwing of the mouth, that Stephen knows they have but one aim: to do away with him (compare Ps 34:16 LXX; 36:12 LXX).

As we have seen before, when faced with the truth those in error will either accept the message or seek to silence the messenger, even permanently (Acts 4:18; 5:28, 40).Stephen's Execution (7:55-58)
Absolutely, they will ignore or silence the messenger. And who is it that silences the messengers throughout the entire Bible?

Abel, a righteous servant of God, killed by his "Christian" brother who claimed to serve the same God.

Caleb, simple exhibiting Faith in the God of Abraham, nearly stoned to death by his "Brethren". Jeremiah hung in a septic tank by the only God of Abraham people on the planet he was sent to help.

Jesus, God's very own Son, murdered by the very Mainstream God of Abraham preaching people He was sent to save.

Stephen, killed by the Mainstream Church Leaders of His time. The only group of God of Abraham preaching people of his time.

This is all truth from your very own Bible. And Jesus understood and warned us about this very thing over and over.

Matt. 24: 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

There is only one group of people on the planet that fit this description. There is only one group of people on the planet that "Comes in Jesus name, claims He is truly the Christ, and that is "Christianity".

Jesus didn't warn about atheists, Islam, Buddha, He warned about "Christians".

And this warning aligns perfectly with the history of man.

You are certainly free to ignore these Biblical facts, you can ignore and try and silence those who would expose this truth.

Or, you could have a civil conversation about what the Scripture and the warnings of Christ mean.

Given all these warnings about satan disguising itself into Christians and "Ministers of Righteousness" I personally think it not wise to place my Faith and doctrine on the foundation of "Dialogue with Trypho 110".

Your scorn is miss-placed TT. I welcome it of course, but might we both be better served in addressing the actual scriptures, all of them.

I'm game if you are.

4For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ." Jude 1:4

This shows how ignorant of the word you are as they are compared to 3 people.....the 1st on the list being Cain that teaches works......like you do!

That is exactly what OSAS teaches. It says there is NOTHING you can do, or not do to lose your salvation. That's turning the grace of God into a license to sin whether you folks can see that fact or not.
And you can argue all day long that the true believer won't avail himself of his freedom to sin with impunity, but that still makes grace a license to sin whether he indulges it or not. Saying the true believer won't do that does not change the fact that your doctrine makes grace a license to sin with impunity.
More deceit from a deceitful false teacher here....nothing to see!

Jude is exhorting believers to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (vs. 3) because certain ungodly men who have crept in unnoticed.

Jude further describes these ungodly men as ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit (vs. 19)

*In CONTRAST to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and PRESERVED in Jesus Christ (vs. 1).

Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are PRESERVED FOREVER, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

Tragic...he quotes a verse that is compared unto three false teachers....first on the 1st is Cain that teaches a works flavored false gospel just like he does....

No, I am just struck by truth that the mind of man that has been the same since Cain killed Abel because Abel's "Works" were accepted by God but Cain's were not.
And Cain pushed works while Abel had faith and offered blood..............and Cain makes JUDE as a false teacher......Abel makes HEBREWS of faith......!

I'm not going to argue that some of the people who make grace a license to sin may not be the called, sanctified, and preserved in Christ that OSAS doctrine has deceived them into thinking they are. No argument from me on that.

That's why we need to continue being saints through our continued trust in Christ, keeping ourselves in the love of God as Jude says to do. The promise is for the saints of God, not the former saints of God who stopped believing along the way somewhere and went back to unbelief.
20But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life." (Jude 1:20 NASB)

But I suspect that since Jude is saying this you folks won't see him as saying we justify/save ourselves in a works gospel, but when we say what he said, yes, all of a sudden it's a works gospel. Wake up, people! Building yourself up in your faith and keeping yourself in the love of God is NOT a works gospel, lol!
The bolded is false and not found anywhere in scriptures.....more working for dogma from a false teacher.......

Genesis 26:5, “Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my Laws.”
AND yet Abraham was justified by FAITH.....not the law keeping!

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law

Romans 44 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
[SUP]17 [/SUP](As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:
[SUP]20 [/SUP]He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
[SUP]24 [/SUP]But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Luke 6:46, "And why call Me; Ruler! Ruler! and do not the things which I say?"

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Mat 28:20, “Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”
1 John 2:3-6, “And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Yah has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.”
Matthew 10:22, “And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Matt 24:12-13, “And because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of many shall become cold. But he who shall have endured to the end shall be saved.”

What are you saying, that there wasn't a "Mainstream God of Abraham preaching church" of Christ's time? The pagans didn't murder Stephen, it was the God of Abraham preaching church of that day.

Acts 6:9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
. . .
Two Points to show you how far OFF CENTER your theology is:

POINT #1.
The SANHEDRIN were the ones in charge of Stephen's TRIAL. THEY WERE THE JEWISH SUPREME COURT. So your theory is either a total LIE, or a made up story by someone who does not know dittlely about who and what the Sanhedrin is.

Acts 6:8-15 (HCSB)

[SUP]8 [/SUP] Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Then some from what is called the Freedmen’s Synagogue, composed of both Cyrenians and Alexandrians, and some from Cilicia and Asia, came forward and disputed with Stephen.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] But they were unable to stand up against his wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking.
[SUP]11 [/SUP] Then they persuaded ⌊some⌋ men to say, “We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God!”
[SUP]12 [/SUP] They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; so they came, dragged him off, and took him to the Sanhedrin.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] They also presented false witnesses who said, “This man does not stop speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For we heard him say that Jesus, this Nazarene, will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.”
[SUP]15 [/SUP] And all who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at him and saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

Acts 7:1 (HCSB)

[SUP]1 [/SUP] “Is this true?” the high priest asked.

Acts 7:51-60 (HCSB)

[SUP]51 [/SUP] “You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit; as your ancestors did, so do you.
[SUP]52 [/SUP] Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? They even killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become.
[SUP]53 [/SUP] You received the law under the direction of angels and yet have not kept it.”
[SUP]54 [/SUP] When they heard these things, they were enraged in their hearts and gnashed their teeth at him.
[SUP]55 [/SUP] But Stephen, filled by the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. He saw God’s glory, with Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and he said,
[SUP]56 [/SUP] “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
[SUP]57 [/SUP] Then they screamed at the top of their voices, covered their ears, and together rushed against him.
[SUP]58 [/SUP] They threw him out of the city and began to stone him. And the witnesses laid their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
[SUP]59 [/SUP] They were stoning Stephen as he called out: “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!”
[SUP]60 [/SUP] Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin!” And saying this, he fell asleep.

POINT #2. The word CHURCH DID NOT EXIST AT THE TIME OF CHRIST. The word ekklêsiadid not take on the meaning "the Church" until some time in the 300's. THEREFORE, Jesus did not say: "I will build my Church" HE SAID:

Matthew 16:18 (YLT)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] `And I also say to thee, that thou art a rock, and upon this rock I will build my assembly, and gates of Hades shall not prevail against it;

Greek NASB Number: 1577

Greek Word:ἐκκλησία

Transliterated Word:ekklêsia
Root: from 1537 and 2564;

Definition: an assembly, a (religious) congregation:--

New American Standard Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.

Greek Strong's Number: 1577
Greek Word: ἐκκλησία

Transliteration: ekklēsia

Phonetic Pronunciation:
ek-klay-see'-ah

Root: from a compound of <G1537> and a derivative of <G2564>
Cross Reference: TDNT - 3:501,394
Part of Speech: n f
Vine's Words: Assembly, Congregation

Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

CHURCH was a substitution for what JESUS REALLY SAID, only because by the 300's that was the POPULAR term an ASSEMBLY of CHRISTIANS were calling themselves.

THEREFORE at the time of CHRIST the term CHURCH DID NOT EXIST.

James 2:10 (CSBBible)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For whoever keeps the entire law, and yet stumbles at one point, is guilty of breaking it all.

1 Peter 2:13-15 (NKJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
[SUP]14 [/SUP] or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--

If they go 27 in a 25 mph zone they're condemned, but if you do it it's you being able to do that because of grace.

And when they go 25 in the 25 mph zone it's them trying to save themselves, but when it's you going 25 in the 25 mph zone it's Christ doing it in you for you. Question: Why doesn't Christ do that in you all the time?

How does the grace of God make it so you can go over the speed limit but not for them?

Grace according to the spirit of the word the unseen is the licence for forgiveness. The letter of the law as it is written demands justice. His grace teaches us to say no to speeding or life will pass you by..

Its like the Simon and Garfunkel ...get in the grace groove, slow down you're moving too fast. Feeling groovy

Should we live in SIN because grace ABOUNDS...NO...but when we SIN GRACE abounds AHEAD of our SIN and covers our sin...HENCE NO condemnation to those who are IN CHRIST......
