Yes there is.....the predestination that Paul talks about. Believers are predestined to look like Jesus. What that means is, we're not going to look like a frog, or an elephant. It has been predetermined that we will look like Jesus when this is all over:

"29For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren" (Romans 8:29 NASB)

But you are erroneously reading it to mean God predetermined who is going to be a believer and who is not by assigning them the will to believe, or not assigning them the will to believe. If he does that, that's a pretty meaningless gospel.

Dude, I already told you I was not a calvanism. And you are wrong here, I do not believe what you just said.

Why is it you people can never listen to a word people say? All you are doing is fighting a doctrine, Your not discussing the world with anyone, or trying to even contemplate what they believe.

Forgive me for ignoring the rest of what you [posted here, If you can not understand what I am talking about to begin with, you can not be trusted to understand anything of what I believe. Lets start there fir5st..ok?

again

I AM NOT CALVANIST.

Are you baptized in Jesus name? If not then you left one of the commandments out. Jesus said if you keep them but not keep one that it’s as though you didn’t keep any.

Lol. Again, you asking an impossibility, You can nn0ot stop sin completely, if you say you have no sin, as john says, you are decieved.

Not only can we never be good enough to deserve salvation nor can we be so bad that we can not be saved.

Ephesisians 2:8-9 [SUP]8 [/SUP]For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— [SUP]9 [/SUP]not by works, so that no one can boast.

I feel overwhelmed with gratitude that God has given me the gift of salvation.
This I a coincident, for my wife’s ggggrandma was married to a pilkington.

I did acts 2, I repented and by it recieved the gift of the HS, and because I had recieved remission of sin, I asked my pastor to bap[tise me, which he did about a year later,

I was saved COMPLETELY the moment i had faith though

why are you trying to save yourself? When will you realis no amount of work you do will cause God to forgive one sin, let alone th emany you have commited since birth

E-grateful, Mr.Deacon is trying to bait you into a never ending argument. He has convinced himself that he knows the correct way to salvation through works, a false gospel. You nor the bible and a 1,000 biblical scholar's will ever convince Mr.D that we are "saved by grace", apart from works.

More misguided interpretation of the bible; his gospel is backwards for everyone to see.

Oh yes I know. I will confront him with truth for a bit, and when he has heard all his arguments exposed. I will place him on ignore with the few others like him.

I do believe in giving everyone a chance in hopes one may repent.

But we’re not talking about sin here. We’re talking about commandments. There is a difference you know.

breaking commandments is sin

if you could keep the commands, you would be sinless. Only one man has that honor., and it is not you!

Bless you for your patients, there is no grace in his words nor his fake gospel. I hope and pray he changes his distorted theology before its to late, but that is highly unlikely. The Holy Spirit can correct his errant theology with a little help from Christian's.

God bless

Your right there, Jesus is the only sinless one, but He hs made a way for us to become sinless also and that is through baptism in Jesus name and those who reject it is rejecting Christ.

No, that is not true. You will not be sinless until you get to heaven.

John said it plainly, if we (he included himself) say we are without sin, we deceive ourselves and there is no truth in us.

If you think you are sinless. You are decieved, it is not me saying that's, it is the Bible.

HS Baptism saves you, it washes and makes you clean.

Water baptism gets you wet. I would look to the baptism of God. And not a baptism of man as your means of salvation. Otherwise, you are committing blasphemy (attributing to man the work of God)

No, no, no, lol.
Eternal security is based on what you believe God will do (and has already done).{FALSE DOCTRINE}

Remember, you said it, not me, lol. And I agree....there is no OSAS doctrine in the Bible.

And that doctrine of the eternal security of the believer you are referring to says that once you are saved you are always saved. That's why it's called 'OSAS'.

Biblical security is this: The one who is presently believing is secure in eternal life--Jesus Christ. That's why we need to keep believing...so we'll remain secure in the eternal life God has provided--Jesus Christ.

Our Names were written in the Book of Life before the foundation of the Earth. ETERNAL SECURITY IS BASED ON WHAT HE PLANNED TO DO TO SAVE US. HE ALWAYS DOES WHAT HE PLANS TO DO.

BORN AGAIN SAVING FAITH IS A GIFT FROM GOD AND CANNOT BE UNBORN AGAIN, as it is ETERNAL. OUR ETERNAL SECURITY IS TOTALLY IN HIS HANDS, and NEVER IN OUR HANDS.

Matthew 16:23 (CSBBible)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] Jesus turned and told Peter, "Get behind me, Satan!
You are a hindrance to me because you're not thinking
about God's concerns but human concerns."

John 10:27-30 (CSBBible)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] My sheep hear my voice, I know them {Born Again},
and they follow me.

[SUP]28 [/SUP] I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.
No one will snatch them out of my hand.

[SUP]29 [/SUP] My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all.
No one
is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

[SUP]30 [/SUP] I and the Father are one."

IT IS NOT ETERNAL IF YOU CAN LOSE IT OR STOP LIVING IT. WE DO NOT CONTROL OUR ETERNAL LIFE HE DOES. WE DO NOT HOLD ON TO OUR ETERNAL LIFE HE DOES. WHOEVER TAUGHT YOU THAT THEOLOGY IS A HERETIC, REPENT.

Tell me who of you were baptized in that Wonderful Name of JSU’s?

Amen

Not of works LEST ANYONE SHOULD BOAST.

If you can take credit, or boast, Then it is a work,, You can boast of works outside the law. Not just the law.

Not to mention, at no time is the law mentioned in these chapters of Ephesians in regard to works, so they are ADDING to the word.
Is praying not works? So do I quit praying because it’s works?

Is praying not works? So do I quit praying because it’s works?
Works in context of this thread discussion means doing something in order to save you or keep you saved. Works do not save. Works are a result of being saved, an outpouring of the Spiritually reborn. Scripture attests to the fact that these works were planned by God for us to do.

Tell me who of you were baptized in that Wonderful Name of JSU’s?

I was baptised by god himself. Into the death and burial of Christ, and into his body.

THEN I was baptised by a man in water.

when will you repent and get baptised by God?
