If Christ has you, nothing can snatch you from His hand :) I trust His promises.
Romans 8:38-39: "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"

I love the mention of "created things".... this would include us! Not even we are able to.

Also notice how it's written. We're on the weaker end. If angels and powers can't snatch us, what makes anyone think that we ourselves are even able to?

As I have said a few times in the past- we all need to guard our hearts. When someone has a different view on a subject than we do - we can become bitter towards them - especially if we have had a bad experience with someone that has those views in the past.

That doesn't necessarily make their views wrong. It just makes us open to become bitter towards other people.

Hebrews 12:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;

Then we think it is our "Christian duty and to defend the faith" to follow them around in threads and personally attack them and not just keep our conversation to the subject at hand in a respectful way.

In reality - "bitterness" has taken over and if we give in to it - it will defile many as we have seen happen.

Guard your hearts brethren.

All is well brother!....:)...

We are all learning how to live by the life of Another in us and have our minds renewed the what He has already done and He will be faithful to all of us.

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Colossians 3:2-3 (NASB)
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

[SUP]3 [/SUP] For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Some move so fast you can't keep up, then you miss something important, and say something stupid..lol

edit, then your IPAD adds words, changes words, or does other things that when you reread, you can't even figure out what you wanted to say to begin with!

The way I read this passage is Paul saying when we desire to follow the Lord, even though we
struggle, have disappointments, often see things in the wrong way, for these people nothing
can separate us form the love of God in Christ.

So many here are saying they desired to follow Jesus but things emotionally went wrong,
disappointments came in and they literally left the church. They had assumed success without
issues or problems, and when they found things did not work out that way, they felt their whole
faith was lost.

What people forget is how we learn. We try something out and it goes wrong, so next time we
know how to get things right. It is often these disappointments and trials that prove the
commitment of the heart.

This is much more than it is impossible to lose faith or walk away, but the fact you have come
back shows the reality of the work Christ has done in your heart. Amen.

No I mean I struggle to fully believe and not waver, for example, to not store treasure on earth or not worry how I will keep a roof over my head.
We all have these struggles, but I do not see these struggles having a bearing on our eternal life, our eternal life is based on our faith in his gospel of salvation by faith, not in trusting in every area of ur lives, if it did, no one would make it to heaven, because we all have issues of mistrust, especially people who have been hurt deeply before.

The bolded.....is it not what you have done in the underlined? Funny thing......how many if not most do unto others the exact same things they gripe about.

Now....this thread is about salvation by grace thru faith without works attached.....why is it so hard to not stick to the topic instead of soap box rants......note that I have n0 problem saying I am guilty of this and have tried to be better, not calling people cake takers and the such.....so....how about move on and post relevant scriptures and what you believe..........just asking and not mouthing!

Another attemp to distract from the thread. (They are so good at that) Time to let this sidetrack topic move on, and get back to the topic.

Some men aren't quite as certain as you about this one particular matter of faith.
And since they can not see where some of a doctrine came from (or think it's ridiculous), they make the decision to apply the warnings to themselves rather than everyone else.

And maybe God really does lead some children a bit differently. It does make sense, since in temporal life, some children are proud and fearless to their possible harm and others are timid and fearful to their lack of spontaneity.

I just honestly think that sometimes you do not let God do His work with men and do not let them be where they are. That is just my opinion, brother. G7 and Cee know where to stop and to see that a person is doing well. They are good...spiritual counselors because they are able to...I don't know exactly how to explain it...but I think maybe they understand that doctrine won't keep a man from his struggles of trust because that is just part of growing up. They understand that those struggles are part of growing up and so they don't get bitter with others when they aren't as far along spiritually as they are.

Who knows? Maybe it's because they know and remember what their own struggles have been. So they do what they can to help a man and then they trust him to Gods care to reveal more and more to them.

Actually your post is an example of:

"this illustrates the behavior the Bible speaks of in the NT concerning spreading rumors, gossiping and slandering others"

First you say she's attacking you because of something she said to you in the past (on a different account?). Then you say you went back and read some past posts of hers that are extra-biblical with no example of what they are or why.

Then you say she "continues to try and make some kind of trouble". Which is definitely slander.

Then you say it is "not harmless to discuss someone in an open forum" Yet YOU are discussing her and going back and commenting on what she wrote in her past 5k posts.

And then you say, "its nasty" condemning others for doing exactly what I see you doing.

I have nothing against you, I don't always agree with you, but that's fine I don't agree with everyone.

That being said most people get banned because of their own actions not because of other people "coming against them".

And from what I've seen, it's the attitude of "people coming against me" and "it's not my fault" that ultimately justifies why they feel they can attack people here and unfortunately they get banned. I've seen the pattern several times since I've been here.

I won't say anything else to you about it, but hopefully this feedback will serve you well.
not really Cee

she makes things up about me and posts about me to others and you say nothing about that.

you are as much of a bully here as the others who joined in. I thought better of you but I guess you had to show your prejudice

nothing you wrote you cannot apply to yourself first BECAUSE you actually thought you had to mix in

you are simply a part of the other side of this debate

you certainly have not written the truth, but simply stood up for your friend who has lied about me and tried to get me banned by saying I was a banned person

you are taking sides in a personal matter. now go and send some pm's and make it better

See this is is what I mean

i told you my view and what. See of the gospel, and you slapped me, yells at me, or whatever it is you always do, instead of taking my view, discussing it if you disagree, or just saying, ok, I understand what you see, but I disagree,

yet it it is perfectly fine for other people to tell others what they believe, and you never say a word.

again, I see the gospel as faith In Christ to save me, not as faith in Christ to help me in all my needs, that is sanctification or Christian growth, which is a result of the gospel,

if you disagree, that's fine, just say it, but please, this stuff has got to stop.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what stuff has got to stop.
I am not yelling at you or slapping you. I don't know where this comes from EG...
We are being open and honest.
If someone disagrees it isn't yelling and slapping.

You are going to have to explain to me what needs to stop. Is it my opinions that you think I need to stop giving?

I see a post, a see an opening, and I get excited, a teachable moment, I can use this post to show what I see, and maybe just maybe, a lot of the bickering will stop, and people will understand where others are coming from,

then that is the response I get,

yet i I can make a hard thought out post sharing what faith is, and how it grows, and what causes faith to fall away, and I get a response of "that does not fit that passage" (no comment on what I Said, n refusal of what I said, no discussion or intended discussion of what I think or desire to understand,) and no one says a word.

And they want to know why why I think I am always singled out by a person..

read my last post I just made, if you do not see it, I guess you never will

i was not trying to attack you when I spoke about the two different kinds of faith, I was not trying to force my view on you, I was just sharing he my view differed from yours, and again, you came at me saying I needed to do this and that.

if it is ok for others to give there view, and not ok for me to share my view, please just say so. And I will stop responding to you

and can we please get off this 7seas vs stones argument and get back to what a works based gospel looks like and why it is not a gospel from God (the topic of this thread) or if needed (and it is) some coffee and cakes??? :p

Okay, EG, it's enough.
I don't understand why you think I am yelling at or slapping you.
It pains me that you see me this way because I love you and it is not my intent to hurt you. I have never once had the intent of hurting you.

But if you do feel hurt by me, it's enough and I will not speak to you for a while if it will make you feel better. I don't want you to think I am trying to harm you. I want you to feel safe with me, not attacked.

Eg, it is fine for you to share your views. I like to hear your views. I did not get upset with you for any of your views or opinions. It was you who got upset with me.

I didn't think you were trying to attack me. It was you who felt attacked and yelled at and slapped.
