Lots of bags under some ppl's eyes, seeing they couldn't sleep, afraid they may lose their faith in their sleep.

Keep working my friends.

No let us stay in this thread....

They are my beliefs and I have shared freely.. the post is for whoever receives or refuses... make it not about you and I always my dear.

I just asked a question, Your right, it is not about you and me, It is about people who actually do what you spoke against. The fact that you even wrote it suggests that you think there are people who actually think we have crossed the finish line in our walk with God already, or else you would have no reason to post it.

Not to mention, if there are actually people who think this, Then I want to know why they think it. so we can discuss it, would you not agree?

Have a read through and see if anyone stands out.. maybe an encouraging post from yourself is in order.

Here is a dilemma for them. They say "keeping on believing is not a work."

OK.

Notice this: Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” John 6:29.

So here we have this:

1) Jesus here is either saying that to believe in God is a work man must do. This would then prove that believing is actually a work. Therefore to believe in God is then to do the works of God, as some put it, in other words it is a work.

-or-

2) Jesus is showing that in order for a person to believe, that is, to have supernatural faith is an act, or work of God Himself in the believer.

This blows apart their theory in two ways, and shows their teaching unbiblical on both accounts:

a. Believing would be a work according to their teaching and how they perceive what Jesus stated. They must take this as such because of their belief in free will. So the person did the believing here and it is then a work, it is doing the work of God.

b. Jesus is destroying the free will decision based belief and showing that faith is a gift, and that a person believing unto salvation is a work of God in man, not a work of man.

Now there will much wresting of this. Some will attempt to say they believe the latter of the 2, but they've been preaching believing is a decision all along, something that man does, making it by necessity a work.

I have been here for 5 years, and to my knowledge have never seen anyone say it, or preach it. That's why I am asking. Because I could have missed seeing it,

Again, You posted it, so you think there must be, or have seen an issue, I am trying to help you serve these people you have seen who have this problem.

Maybe you need to stop thinking I am out to get you.

remember also, that was Jesus response the the people asking jesus what work they must do in response to jesus words about working for food which endure forever.

ie, Jesus said he came to offer food which gives eternal life (he said whoever eats his food will never hunger or thirst again, will never die, will live forever. And have his assurance he will raise them on ththe last day

they responded, what work must we do

jesus answer, it is the work of God you believe in the one sent.

Yep, it is the work of God to believe, it is not the work of man.

...since it is the work of God in man unto belief, therefore this "stop believing" drivel would then be the fault of God. He began the work, but didn't finish it. (complete sarcasm here)

Or, on the other hand they stopped doing the work of believing...

John 6:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, this is the work of God,.... The main and principal one, and which is well pleasing in his sight; and without which it is impossible to please him; and without which no work whatever is a good work; and this is of the operation of God, which he himself works in men; it is not of themselves, it is the pure gift of God:

that ye believe on him whom he hath sent; there are other works which are well pleasing to God, when rightly performed, but faith is the chief work, and others are only acceptable when done in the faith of Christ. This, as a principle, is purely God's work; as it is an act, or as it is exercised under the influence of divine grace, it is man's act: "that ye believe"; the object of it is Christ, as sent by the Father, as the Mediator between God and men, as appointed by him to be the Saviour and Redeemer; and believing in Christ, is believing in God that sent him. The Jews reduce all the six hundred and thirteen precepts of the law, for so many they say there are, to this one, "the just shall live by his faith", Hab_2:4. (e). - John Gill

There are many more who teach this same biblical truth. Believing is the work of God. It is all to His Glory, salvation is 100% of God and not of man.

Sola Fide; by faith alone.
Sola Scriptura; by Scripture alone.
Solus Christus; through Christ alone.
Sola Gratia; by grace alone.
Soli Deo Gloria; glory to God alone.

Honestly EG all is well and if you really desire to help then do some ground work yourself. My post was not in reply to you it was open to all... don't take so much upon yourself. I have experienced how you operate and do not desire for any back and forth with you on this in this manner.

so again, people seem to think there are people who think the race is finished and we do not have to run the race.

Can those people please humbly stand up. I would like to know why you think this..

I swear it was like 1990 and I woke up this morning and the calendar said 2017!

The year 2000 used to seem like a far fetched year that would never come.
