Rules of the Kingdom? You apply earthly rules to spiritual things?

Seriously FranC, you missed the point. Jesus came as a sacrifice so we could have a loving relationship with the Father, reconciliation.

When that is received you are changed and then live by the Spirit of God Himself.

Yet you have rules or laws or whatever floats your boat to keep you in the Kingdom?

I have the sacrificial blood of the Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God to keep me there.

You see it is all about Jesus, not you, not me, not your bloated ideology of what you accomplish in your daily life that saves and keeps you saved. It is God Almighty that does that.

Honestly your high horse must be so beaten down by now, one day maybe you will fall off and finally bow down to the Lord and fully thank Him for His Grace and Mercy!
BTW,

I'm not God.
I'm not the ruler of the Kingdom.

I don't get to make up the rules.
GOD makes up the rules.

You really should find out what they are since you claim to be a Christian.

For God So Loved the World
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.John 3:
john 10 v1
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.
Never been to Scotland but I still believe, and I went through the sheepfold gate, (door) I did not climb over and I greeted the sheep kindly as I went through the gate, (door)

Faith's definition:unquestioning belief
Work's definition:effort of doing or making

Faith is not salvation, salvation is only obtainable through Jesus Christ, when an individual out of faith asks God to save their soul and accept Jesus as saviour,is salvation"Given" to the individual as well as "Given" the holy spirit to accept or reject,or accept then reject(which is why blaspheming the holy spirit is the "only" "unforgivable" sin for one must believe to accept and then reject the holy spirit in order to blaspheme the holy spirit)
Salvation is "Given" through Jesus by God,Earning Salvation is not possible once one accepts the grace of Jesus Christ, for his grace makes "salvation" possible "without works" one can only choose one,the Law for salvation or Jesus's grace, there is no other choice but these two,True God would want people to "work"'by spreading his word, but once accepting Jesus's grace "salvation" is already obtained, thereby "works" are no longer apart of one's "salvation" but they are still apart of one's walk in life with God still, this is why in James it speaks of "faith" not salvation being dead without works, because "works of faith" show God that you are more than "talk" concerning one's appreciation for "salvation" that was "Given" them but also that they will "hearken" when God has a task for them to do for him.
hope this helps someone.

But, Meggido, that specific post was not about any of this that you state he believes. The rep was for this thread.

And gossiping again? Let us make our own judgements on what we think.
Too funny!!

YOU and the "girls" gossip.

Meggido is just stating a truth to another person.
he is not saying anything mean.

Do you know what gossip means?

Do you know what anything meansj?

I'm beginning to have my doubts.

Hi Guys,

It's just me; a member like everyone else is. And a believer as I hope everyone else is as well. I believe that is so. I believe we all love the Lord our God with all our hearts. We may not have all our i's dotted or our t's crossed, but we're being sanctified from glory to glory.

I just wanted to say that I'm so saddened and grieved at the way this thread has digressed to acting out in the flesh. Let's look over our threads and see if there's anything that's not of the Lord or lead of the Spirit and repent of our words.

I just want to cry for all of us and invite you all over to my home so that we can enjoy fellowship as we walk in the light .... good food and worship Jesus ........ let's have a time of praise and worship and repentance. Jesus is here among us and we're grieving the Holy Spirit.

I'm working on my study in 2 Peter right now and one of the cross references that I just looked up for the study is this one:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

I believe the Lord wanted me to post it here so that's what I'm doing.

Like I said, it's just me, but maybe we should look over our posts and see if we may have misstepped. Let's pray and ask the Spirit of God to convict us where we need to be rebuked for our actions and allow His cleansing power to visit us here and now.

Dear Lord, I life up all that have visited this thread and I pray that you would allow us to see the schemes of the enemy that comes in to divide the sheep, to hate and devour one another.

Please Lord, help us to speak truth in love for the reason that we truly care for one another. Help us to forgive 7x77. Help us to take the wrong and learn what it means to serve one another as you have and continue to do...... serving us each and every day.

Thank you Lord for bleeding on the cross at calvary, thank you for your beautiful and wondrous gift of grace that none of us deserve and thank you for eternal life where we will enjoy fellowship with one another forever and ever.

Help us all to see You, Lord in one another so that we will know no man after the flesh. That we would see one another as sisters and brothers; as family in You, Lord.

And when we discuss and contend for the faith, help us to allow you to guide our hearts, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Please fill our hearts afresh with Your Spirit and with the fruit of the Spirit. Like David prayed, please create in us a clean heart O Lord and renew a right spirit in us. In Jesus' name, Amen!

Also if anyone has been hurt by something I may have said in a post, I ask for forgiveness, but also ask that you PM me so that I can tell you personally that I'm sorry.

If I said something that's truth, I'm not sorry about that, but if I said anything in an ugly, fleshly, carnal way, please know that I want you to tell me so that I can ask you to forgive me.

And love doesn't keep a record of wrongs, so let's throw the hurtful words into the fire to be burned up and never to be remembered again.

Love you all! Because we're family. :) And if Jesus loves you, who am I to not love you as well.

God bless you all!

In Chris't love,
~DR~
People here do not act like family.
They do not act like friends.
They do not act like Christians.
And I happen to be a tough cookie and will leave only when I desire to,
NOT when some here think they will abuse me enough to make me leave.

You're a beautiful person Desertsrose.
It's a shame all can't be like you.

Yep and "anger but sin not" but sadly things can get divided between Christians or other p eople in Religions because of different views or simple, hate or rebellion,if people took the time to calm themselves down, instead of carrying on with banters or insults alot more "answers" could be established.

the question is , dead or alive, when do we go through this gate.

13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.Ephesians 1

For the record, as one has claimed falsely, I do not hold to double predestination. I do however hold to Sovereign election. The former isn't biblical, the latter, though maligned absolutely is.

Just setting the record straight brothers and sisters in answer to the accuser who desires to poison the minds of many against me, sow discord and cause division.
Sovereign election is different from double pre-destination?

They both are horrible doctrine and certainly not from God.
No wonder you are how you are.

If you have no problem accusing God of being a monster, why should you have an problem accusing ME of anything?
You've explained your behavior.
All who believe as you are like you.

You think you have respect for God instead you HAVE NONE.
And this is blasphemy on your part and this IS a cause for loss of salvation, attributing to God character traits that do NOT BELONG TO HIM.

If you had gone to the link I gave the list shows 119 references just in the gospels. So you would see that Fran was correct. :)

  1. Matthew (54)
  2. Mark (18)
  3. Luke (44)
  4. John (3)

Did you look for the version that would give the most results? I used the KJV:

Matthew (5)
Mark (14)
Luke (28)
John (2)

That does not include mentions of it by others. I don't use your version.

no need to get upset,I was talking about how you first pointed,my text concerning blaspheming the holy spirit being the only unforgivable sin, where as your quote talked about "blasphemy" but I see what you meant by the people speaking with Jesus speaking to him as if he made himself as God(which he was and still is) which according to your outlook such a thing would be "blaspheming the holy spirit"'or you were trying to establish another "unforgivable sin" yet anyone claiming to be God is not an "unforgivable sin" so that would be inaccurate depending on what point you were trying to establish,so my later post was concerning how your quote agreed with my quote depending as I said of what you were speaking on which you had not "established" clearly to me,which is why I said this was "bizzare" please point me to which you are trying to establish,a second unforgivable sin or "blaspheming the holy spirit in another way as opposed to what I spoke on.

ok back to my "original" purpose for coming to this thread again,Fran I was wondering if you saw this post because I know many people seem to "rail"'on you,and I wanted to tell you that I don't do that sort of thing despite sometimes sounding perhaps witty at times.
Joe,

I read the post but quite frankly, I don't really understand it.

I'm here because there is incorrect teaching going on that is detrimental to the Kingdom of God.

Here are the two worse doctrine in the Church today:

1. Calvinism

2. Hyper Grace or easy believism

Number one distorts the character of God.
Number two distorts our relationship with God. He is made out to be our Santa Cause. He is made out to be OUR servant, not the other way around.

God is not here to serve US.
WE are here to serve HIM.

If we lose this concept, Christianity is finished.
It has held this long because the church has kept to the original tenets of this faith.
If basic beliefs, as held by every christian till recently, are lost, our very faith will be lost.

I've attempted to be serious about this but the Others on this thread only like to make snide remarks, discuss between themselves, and make a mockery out of God's word.

If YOU can be serious, I can be serious,,, if YOU want to play games, I can do the same but without the meanness.

I have no problem in stating my beliefs with ANYONE.
Good or bad.

It pains me,however, to see what goes on here by some who call themselves christian.
I just hope they're better in real life because they would otherwise make a terrible testimony.

ok once more Fran did you see my first post above?
thought you might appreciate the sentiment.
Yes Joe.
i saw it and appreciate it.

I wasn't sure if you were saying anything I should answer to, but it seems like maybe not.

I do thank you. I find you to be very reasonable and secure in yourself and so have no need for doing what goes on here.
