Hi folks,
I've been King James only ever since reading about the history of the bible also watching 2 videos on youtube

the fuel project's know your enemy

Framing the world's New world order Bible versions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFtI_mVOXbQ&t=1643s

for background research if you haven't seen these movies already. Know your enemy is a good series to watch if you are new to the concept of the new world order and new world order bible versions is good at explaining the angle once you are aware of the new world order.

For me reading about the history of the bible was an eye opener learning about terms like textus receptus, the latin vulgate etc.
How the catholic church supressed the word for the masses and made dependent the church for the word of God.
How the catholic church went after versions like the geneva and great bible aswell as the king james version because it was a threat to its market on cornering the word of God for the masses.
That the king james bible can be published by any publisher without cost to the owner (crown owned)
to publish a NIV bible you need to give Rupert Murdoch his Cut.

I do think that the new wave of different bible versions is an attempt to change the word of God from the king james version. Since the king James version (KJV) is the most published bible from its first edition in 1611.

The framing the world video goes into detail as to what is changed and shows a trend as to what is changed in the bible and how this causes doctrinal differences between the different versions.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bible_verses_not_included_in_modern_translations

here is a outline of omitted verses.

key differences is like prayer and fasting and every word of God etc.

an example of a major change...

Isaiah 14:12
Isaiah 14:12 How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!

Key difference is lucifer is missing from the modern bible versions and the reference to the morning star.

the question I have is would you go back to a NIV after learning of this agenda?

Let's see...... The Catholics said, "Only the Bible we espouse is the TRUE one."

And, the KJO people say, "Only the Bible we espouse is the TRUE one."

Interesting.

Lucifer is a transliteration. It's not found in the earliest mss, iirc.

The really old KJV had a margin note that Lucifer was actually "son of the morning/dawn" they kept the "traditional" name, well, err, to keep up the tradition....:p

youtube show well produced productions but at the same time show "I know the date of teh rapture" videos aswell

but it is a cheaper alternative to saying just buy the productions. not to mention the waiting time to receive the DVDs

Not to derail the thread, but I do find it paradoxical that those who speak against Lordship Salvation also make no bones about saying that the Authorized KJV is the ONLY Bible translation that the English-speaking world should use. And that anyone who uses any other translation is in league with Satan.

I say it's paradoxical because the opposition to LS is primarily that the doctrine confuses salvation with discipleship, justification with sanctification. Proponents of FG want to take the burden of works off of Christians by saying that works aren't necessary for salvation but ARE part of discipleship. At the same time though, they put the burden of which Bible translation to use on Christians. So they're essentially substituting one burden for another.

Hope that makes sense.

1. The KJV is not a standard of the true Bible so comparing new translations to the KJV (and verses missing or added) is only a proof that it differs, not a proof new translations are wrong.

2. Lucifer is a Latin word meaning "the one bearing life", I hope you realize that originals were not in Latin, the KJV took this word from the Vulgate

3. The number of sold Bibles is not a measurement of anything relevant to the truth.

Please tell us what is the true standard. Please tell us what is the final authority on what God has said.
