Honestly...so do we not all try to convince the other? Why should I let someone strive for what has already been accomplished?

The problems and issues begin when we cannot deal with, or accept the fact, that we were unsuccessful in persuading the others. Some of us do know however that ultimately whoever has ears to hear will hear.

I am paying attention to what Jesus said, He is the Bread of life, the Living water, His work is Complete, the Author and Finisher of our Faith....are you persuaded?
I'm persuaded that you have many times said that Jesus did it all and so we are to do nothing since works are an insult to God because HE already finsihed His work.

This is not true. You want HIM to do it all but YOU have to do some stuff too.
I even explained why theologically this idea is not correct but I think you don't undertand the reason.
Won't get into it again.

Why is it wrong to say that Jesus did everything and
that He does everything for us?

Who is Ralph? I can only think of Ralph Waldo Emmerson..lol
Ralph is a friend of ours from another forum who said he would join in with us here but he seems to be too busy, between working and evangelizing and traveling the world.
You never know where he is until suddenly the phone rings and he says, "let's have some church".
Ralph is popular where ever he goes.

Well, we were talking and the Holy Spirit washed over me and I was covered in those goosebumps that make tears spring to your eyes and I looked up and saw the same tears in his eyes and the same goosebumps and I said, the Spirit just washed strongly over me and I see that this has happened with you too. He said, yes, when I talk about Jesus with someone else, this happens because He comes in our midst. He said this is what his people call "a swelling in the bosom."

We talked for a long time, but I believe the other young man with him did not like some that was said between us and reported him because he asked if he could come back and talk with me some more because he had some more questions for me. He asked if he could come again on a certain day a few days hence and I said, are you free tomorrow afternoon? He said, Yes! I will come then! But the other young man came back with an older man instead and they told me the first young man had been called away elsewhere.
I have heard testimonies of the Lord revealing Himself to people right in the middle of a Hare Krishna ashram ( temple ).

I have also heard of the Lord revealing Himself right in the middle of a witchcraft ritual to a whole coven of self-proclaimed witches.

Although we can't base things/truth on "feelings" - there is a response in our hearts when the love of God is poured into it. That can be a tangible reality.

I know nothing in scripture that speaks of swelling in the bosom, only in the the Mormon church is this phenomenon spoken of

There is in this world much deception.

I experience the same with my Grandsons they want to be recognized as if they are all grown up I don’t think it is so much he would get mad but would work with the child to help them let go of chilish things as far as them taking credit for a work they did not perform .Not something on the long road a person should encourage .

God whose name is Jealous, seeing he owns all things he makes one person differ from another and hopefully when children do put away some childish things as the child gets older like for instance… if you help him by lending the car and he says it was his to begin with. Things could turn out different. I am not one either who pronounces every move they make and say God moved me. I have had friends like that who seemed that every word was praise Jesus, it worked for them.

I would agree with that It is not the work of the salvation of their soul

.

Yes He does give us a mature desire to do the will of another, His will. The transition from milk to meat if there is one can be grievous and different everyone is handled a little differently as the Holy Spirit does form Christ in them as He works in us to both will and do His good pleasure. If we say it was our own will that moved us then we could have something to be falsely proud of like the grandson for tying his own shoes. My suggestions are more about principles as laws how they work out differ like fingerprints. There is no work we could do get saved or to maintain it.
I think sometimes we have to take responsibility for our actions and own that we can choose to do good or bad.

.yes God helps us to do good but we still have to make the choice.

I do believe God teaches us how to be humble and how to recognize His hand on our lives but I see when people tell of the good works they do that they may not be boasting of self but letting their light shine before man and glorifying God.

God knows our motives and our hearts.

Some people need to learn humility....some need to learn confidence to stand for God and His truth.

Yes, I did not say it was in the bible. I said it was what he said his people called it. I just call it the Holy Spirit springing up in me or washing over me because it feels like waves or trumpet blasts sort of...

It's sad they didn't let the other young man return, perhaps God will lead him out of their false doctrines. God calls His people from all nations and all backgrounds.

I think it maybe happens to the weaker among us that we have this reaction in our actual flesh sometimes, to comfort and urge us on. It has been a long process to learn that just because I don't feel this for a while does not mean He has abandoned me. I don't know why He leaps in some of us this way and not in others, but I have somewhat come to the conclusion that it is because I am weaker...

I think Ralph goes to an SDA church, among other churches.
He's not against any of them, as long as they worship Jesus.
Ralph can go to any Church he wishes.
He can even go to the Church of the Enlightened Few.

Not too many around like Ralph...

He had the Holy Spirit. I am so certain. So I trust him to that Spirit he had received. :)

It's not because you're weaker.
it's because you have a sensitive heart to the Holy Spirit.

We would like to meet Ralph. What site was he on before? I only ask because I wanted to know if it was the site I was kicked out of for laughing at Benny Hinn. I'm just curious.

Well... Ok. I'm not sure that is definitive, but I'm not going to dismiss your experience either, but we can't rely on our feelings. They change. The Truth NEVER changes.

If he believes Jesus is God wrapped in flesh, suffered, was crucified, died for his sins, and rose again the 3rd day, then hallelujah!!
