No, you aren't lying, but you are deceiving them. You're cutting off your own protection, while possibly opening yourself up to a predator.

There is no way to impart wisdom to you. Just as you probably couldn't impart wisdom to a 12 year old girl wanting to date a 17 year old. YOU would know that it is a terrible idea for the 12 year old BUT SHE just couldn't grasp why dating a guy 5 years older than her in her teen years would be a bad thing.
This is what we are trying to get you to see. I fear we won't be successful because you are unable in your innocent mind to foresee the possibility of something bad coming of this.
Your innocence is touching, and NONE of us would like to see that innocence shattered.

you r too young to be in a relationship like that if you too r just friends that makes it better but you say you r in love...is he the same age as u? i hope so because anyone older is a pedifile...i feel ilke you wont be able to meet him if he is all the way in italy so its safe but u should still tell your parents before u make any major decisions about this guy... ill be praying for you,,,

The fact that you're asking for advice is both encouraging and disturbing. It shows that you're mature enough to realize you don't have all the answers. It also shows that you're not sure what you're doing is right. And let me tell you, it is not! Parents (even when they seem to get in the way of what we want), are a gift from the Lord. They've lived longer than us and have more experience than we do. Deception is a form of lying, and hiding something can't be honoring your parents. That's two Biblical commands broken.
I can't promise it is going to be easy for you to tell your parents. In fact, it probably won't be. The easy is usually not the right one. HOWEVER, in the long run, it will be better.
And one more note of warning: Do NOT, under any circumstances, try to meet this guy without your parents' knowledge and consent. Watch the YouTube clip one of the other users posted. Scary stuff, but too serious to be ignored. That kind of stuff really does happen.

let me make things clear. this guy is not the person you think he is. he's so different and has complete respect and no inflections of being a pedophile. he has never asked of my address, phone number, not has he ever asked to meet. im very sure. ill post about in full detail so you can judge what he's like.

People can act one way on the computer, and another in real life.. No one is saying that he absolutely IS a pedophile. IF he truly is 19, and respects you and your privacy, that's great.. But you do need to be careful nonetheless.. Even some people on THIS site are not who they appear to be. Women pose as men, men pose as women or even as teenagers. :/

I agree with those here that say that Gracie should tell her parents. I believe parents are supposed to protect their children.
However, those that post that idea here are probably very good parents that would know how to help their daughter that found herself in this particular situation.
I'll say this, I was in a Dangerous situation when I was about 14.
I told my parents because I was really afraid and didn't know what to do.
Instead of helping me, they blamed me.
No only was I left with no help from anyone, but I never told them anything
again.
Not every parent could be spoken to...
Gracie finds herself in a bind and is not certain what to do.
To just keep repeating that she should tell her parents, is not helping her any.
Although I agree that she should, we cannot know why she isn't.
She sounds like a pretty smart girl. Let's give her some credit...

I'd also like to say that here, most kids who start dating at 19 end up marrying the girl.
