Exactly....and works do not save, keep saved, help with salvation, facilitate salvation, secure salvation, procure salvation, make one saved, lead to salvation, top off salvation, and or any other word of like caliber and order....it is faith and faith alone that saves a man eternally....ONCE for ALL.........any questions?
 
If I can see that the word of God is working in you by your words of Godly wisdom,knowledge, and understanding, then you are performing the works of the spirit,and not by worldly knowledge and wisdom as some do. This kind of work is what pleases God, and not the works of your hands.

This might be true...

EXCEPT...

WORKS DO KEEP US SAVED.

Works mean we are obeying Jesus.
If we don't obey Him,
We will be cut off like dead branches and burned.

You need the verses?

JESUS SAID THIS. Not Paul.
JESUS IS THE JUDGE. Not Paul.

Scary, isn't it?

This is a marriage. We are His bride, and He is our groom. We submit to His will, and carry out His work but by the power of Holy Spirit within...the friend of the groom.

Living, moving, having our being in Him. He doesn't demand...He loves, and we love in return.

I never said we would not accomplish works. But, my definition of works may be different than others.

There is no such scripture that I asked for.

You'll NEVER find it...

I asked for verses where JESUS is saying that all we need to do is b elieve in Him and we'll be saved forever no matter what.
And if you're going to use John 6:29 you're going to have to explain what believe means.

NO ANSWER SO FAR.
NO ANSWER FORTHCOMING.
JESUS NEVER SAID THIS.

But some here continue to repeat it as if He did...

That is God's work in us to produce good fruit. Our work is outwardly show His love and wisdom and light to the world.
 
It is not all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it is necessary to show the
filth others are pushing through their falseness. It is ugly and distasteful.
 
If your child disobey you....do you kill them or teach them why it's important to obey?
 
It's rainbows and sunshine in some part of the world...,God promise of love is found in the rainbow...

Paul dealt with this in Romans 5-6.

So to me works are not necessary for salvation but as a result of salvation.
The point to me is what is necessary for salvation? Faith alone, nothing more and nothing less.
Then works will follow.

What really worries me and disturbs me and I will always bang on about this if someone is not walking in works, firstly we are judging and secondly we write them off as unbelievers. With no regard to what the issue is.

I have come across people who actually feel that God won't use them because they are not worthy, I'm a dirty sinner oh well want hope is there for me?

Well, what's the difference between this and what I've been saying all along and being called names from persons who claim to be Christian?

If someone says that WORKS DO NOT KEEP SAVED, it must mean that they believe in doing NOTHING. If this is NOT what they mean, they shouldn't say this. We are to keep away from even the APPEARANCE of evil. It is evil to say that Jesus said we are to do nothing when anyone who has read the N.T. can plainly see that this is not true.

As far as people being not worthy?
If they're Christian?

God does not call the qualified
He qualifies the called.

Like that?

How about that we are all worthy?
How about If God Is For You Who Can Be Against You

and others. I've been witnessing for many a year.

There are no verses that teach that works keep us saved....end of story....it is FAITH that saves....what part of NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE.....do you not understand.....it seems ALL of it....

inconsistency; the confusion of faces

Throughout several thousands of years the bible has given a consistent witness to man from God. Consistency is axiomatic to trustworthiness. And Contradictions are not true by self-definition via logic, (the LOGOS mind of God). This is the very starting point by which the scriptures must be rightly divided. Carnality cannot derive at the truth of scripture because the fleshly mind and the lust thereof demands carnal gratification, therefore unable to comprehend the law of the Spirit. For only the things of the Spirit can be understood by one having the Spirit, which falls under the basic law of humility ,of the which pride cancels out and is left unto its own imagination, forming the image of the beast.

Example: many of the inconsistent Pundits claim that we should obey God, but nobody can anyway, so the maligned conclusion is that Jesus obeyed for you dialog......

God promised not to destroy the world again by water, and the rainbow was connected to that promise. The world will be destroyed by fire next time. His love is found in Jesus :)
